Chapter 2424: Chapter 2425: Just Want To...

An Baobei smiled and said, ”We’re fine, why argue? If you don’t want to see her, then don’t. Come over here, don’t stand there. It makes me feel uneasy.”

Ning Zihan didn’t come over right away; perhaps he was masking something or just trying to calm down. After a while, he turned around, walked to the bed, and sat on the edge.

An Baobei went to take the towel from his hand, and he let her take it, allowing An Baobei to help dry his hair.

”I won’t be like your mom, don’t worry,” she suddenly said.

She clearly felt his body tremble.

Then he relaxed, looked at her, and met her gaze, nodding, ”Hmm.”

It was unclear whether it was her continuous efforts to give him a sense of security, or if he truly trusted that she was different from his mom. Ever since being with her, although at times he was quite pessimistic, he never doubted that she would betray him.

”Has she been calling you often lately?” An Baobei asked casually.

Ning Zihan actually didn’t want to discuss this topic; he was quite repulsed by mentions of his mother. But he still replied, ”She’s called a lot, using different numbers, but every time I recognize her voice, I hang up.”

Since he personally witnessed his mom fooling around with another man on his dad’s bed, that person was no longer his mom in his eyes.

Luckily, she hadn’t treated him well when he was young. One might say he was never shown anything that resembled motherly love. Now, he didn’t acknowledge her, nor did he feel any guilt for not seeing her.

He even hated her.

He hated her deeply.

She hurt him, hurt his dad, hurt his sister, and even almost caused his sister’s death.

He would never forget those things from childhood.

”I heard her say that even Aunt hangs up as soon as she hears her voice.”

Ning Zihan sneered coldly, ”She only cares about flirting with men. Wen Xian fought for custody, yet she didn’t care for Wen Xian properly and nearly let Wen Xian die at home. There’d be something wrong if Wen Xian answered her calls.”

An Baobei laughed and said, ”I heard from your dad that you held a knife to her throat to get Wen Xian’s custody back.”

Ning Zihan glanced at her and snorted, ”You’ve heard about it, so why ask me?”

An Baobei giggled, ”Just wanted to chat with you.”

Ning Zihan first sighed softly, then shared his true feelings, ”I don’t consider her my mom anymore; whether she’s dead or alive doesn’t concern me. That’s my attitude. If you accidentally receive her call in the future, don’t pay attention to her. She’s not my mom anymore, and naturally, has nothing to do with you.”

”Hmm,” An Baobei responded sweetly.

”It’s late, let’s sleep. Tomorrow I’ll go for a walk with you,” Ning Zihan took the towel from her hand and placed it aside. Then he helped her lie down. She couldn’t lie on her back now and had to lie on her side.

An Baobei lay down with difficulty, happily complaining, ”Hubby, being pregnant is so hard.”

”Then why do you still want to be pregnant?”

”Because I want a child of ours,” An Baobei laughed again. ”After this child is born, I don’t care if I can get pregnant again.”

Seeing how she was, she didn’t seem averse to having another...

Ning Zihan paused for a moment, then said, ”It’s better to have just one. Why have so many children? One is enough.” If it weren’t for her insisting on having a child, and him not wanting to say anything, he actually wouldn’t want her to bear any.
