Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2415: Chapter 2416: That Also Can’t Be Rushed

An Baobei was amused, ”The names you’ve picked sound so sweet they might give you cavities.”

”Don’t you like them?” Su Chengyu frowned, then laughed again, ”I think they’re great, your second aunt thinks they’re great, and your grandpa thinks they’re great too.”

An Baobei said, ”It’s not that they’re bad, they’re really nice, they just sound super sweet.”

Su Chengyu chuckled, ”It’s because my family is harmonious, happy, loving, and my career is going well, so I end up picking sweet names.” He paused, ”By the way, when are you and my brother-in-law planning to have children?”

An Baobei’s face instantly turned red, but she said nothing.

Ning Zihan pretended he hadn’t heard anything.

Su Chengyu, oblivious, continued teasing Ning Zihan, ”Bro, you’re almost thirty-two, you should probably plan to have kids sooner rather than later.”

Implying that he feared Ning Zihan might be too old to have children.

Ning Zihan’s face darkened instantly.

Ning Wenxian quickly tugged at Su Chengyu’s sleeve, signaling for him to stop teasing, worried her brother would genuinely get angry, and she’d end up caught in the middle.

As his wife requested, Su Chengyu stopped teasing and went over to talk to Su Haoyu.

Since Ning Wenxian was expecting again, Su Haoyu was overjoyed. He was eager for Ning Wenxian to give Su Chengyu more children.

The Su Family had kept An Baobei’s room unchanged, so she could easily come back and stay whenever she wanted. Now that she was back, visiting her childhood home, she planned to stay for a few days before leaving.

However, as soon as she entered her room at the Su Family’s house, An Baobei sat on the bed, touching her still flat belly, not looking very happy.

She and Ning Zihan had been married for over three months, and despite a healthy marital life, she still hadn’t gotten pregnant—truly bewildering.

As Ning Zihan came in, he saw An Baobei sitting on the bed, touching her belly, seemingly lost in thought. He closed the door behind him, brought a platter of fruit, and walked to the bed, offering the fruit to An Baobei.

”Your mom said you didn’t eat much at lunch, so she wants me to give this to you. You should eat some; you didn’t eat much today. I peeled so many shrimps for you, but you didn’t finish them; I ended up eating them myself.”

An Baobei took the fruit platter but didn’t eat it, holding it instead, feeling gloomy, ”I’m not in a good mood, of course I have no appetite.”

Upon hearing she was upset, he quickly sat beside her and asked, ”Everything’s fine, why are you unhappy?”

”We’ve been married for over three months, and I’m still not pregnant.”

Ning Zihan thought it was a serious matter, having been worried, but upon hearing it was because she hadn’t gotten pregnant, he chuckled, ”These things should happen naturally; you can’t force it. Besides, we’ve only been married for a few months—let’s enjoy a couple of years together first, then consider kids.”

He wasn’t planning on having a child with her just yet.

But as someone with traditional views, An Baobei’s thoughts were quite different from Ning Zihan’s; she really wanted to have a baby. So every time Ning Zihan was with her, she insisted he not use protection, hoping to conceive sooner.

”But I want to be pregnant...” An Baobei remained gloomy.

Ning Zihan paused before saying, ”You can’t rush these things.”

An Baobei looked at him skeptically, ”You...”

Ning Zihan’s face darkened, ”You can doubt anything about me, but not this! Whether I’m capable or not, shouldn’t you know?”
