Chapter 2298: Chapter 2299: Major Misunderstanding (9)

However, An Baobei felt that Li Junlin and Ning Zihan were good friends, so she should talk less about Ning Zihan in front of Li Junlin.

And besides, she doesn’t like Ning Zihan right now, so it’s better not to mention Ning Zihan unless necessary. Otherwise, if Ning Zihan finds out one day, he might think she still has feelings for him, which would be even worse.

Yet she didn’t know at all that Li Junlin was not actually ”One Person”; it was Ning Zihan who was ”One Person.”

...

It wasn’t just An Baobei who was stirred by the affections of An Jing and Su Changyi, or Ning Wenxian and Su Chengyu; even Lu Yimi was affected.

Every time Lu Yimi went to work nowadays and saw their president, Su Changyi, with such a blissfully happy marriage, he felt very envious.

So, this day, taking advantage of Su Haoyu inviting him over to the Su Family for a meal, and seeing that the atmosphere was good, Lu Yimi seized the chance to ask their president for vacation time.

Having worked at the company for many years, Lu Yimi was like an iron man, never taking a day off. So today, when he asked for leave, everyone was shocked and also extremely curious.

Su Changyi asked, ”Reason?”

Lu Yimi hesitated a little but then honestly spoke out, ”I work every day and have no time for a relationship. I’m almost thirty-one, and it’s time to get married and have kids.”

Su Changyi replied indifferently, ”Talk about it when you have someone.”

In other words: You don’t have a partner, so I’m not approving your leave.

Lu Yimi caught on immediately and said, ”If you don’t grant the leave, how will I find someone?”

Su Haoyu, who had always treated Lu Yimi like a godson, felt that Lu Yimi had a point and chimed in, ”That’s right, Yi Er, you should approve his leave. He’s already thirty-one and still single, which is quite pitiful.”

Lu Yimi: ”...” I don’t feel pitiful...

Su Changyi then asked, ”How many days do you want to request?”

Lu Yimi said, ”At least a month.”

”That’s too long,” Su Changyi was unwilling.

Su Chengyu also said, ”Mi Ge, it really is too long. Besides, meeting the right person is about fate. Look at my brother and my sister-in-law, and then look at me and Wenxian; which of us wasn’t a chance meeting? If you try too hard, I think even if you take three months off, it may not work out. Better to let things happen naturally. Take a week or two, and if you don’t meet someone, just treat it as a holiday to relax. You deserve a break after all these years without a vacation.”

Lu Yimi thought about it and agreed he might be trying too hard, so he took a step back, ”Then two weeks it is. I’ll travel around, and if I meet someone suitable, we’ll date. If not, I’ll wait for fate.”

Only then did Su Changyi approve Lu Yimi’s two-week leave.

At this moment, An Baobei chimed in, grinning, ”Uncle Lu, I’m also looking to date; how about we try it?”

Lu Yimi immediately waved his hand in fear, ”No way. If something goes wrong, your parents, grandparents, uncle, and aunt won’t let me off. It’s better I look elsewhere. Besides, we’ve known each other for over two years and seen each other many times without any romantic feelings, so let’s not waste each other’s time. It’s not easy for me to get some time off.”

Including An Baobei, everyone was amused.

As Su Haoyu laughed, he suddenly felt a warmth in his nose, quickly grabbed some tissues and stuffed them into his nose. Realizing it was a nosebleed, he pushed the tissue further in.

Seeing this, Su Changyi immediately got worried and asked nervously, ”Dad, what’s wrong?”
