Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2275: Chapter 2276: You Did That on Purpose, Didn’t You?

As he dialed the number, Ning Wenxian answered right away, and he knew without thinking that Ning Wenxian was holding her phone, probably waiting for his call.

This warmed his heart, bringing a sweet feeling that was both wonderful and marvelous.

As soon as the call connected, Ning Wenxian’s voice came through, sounding aggrieved: ”Chengyu, why aren’t you answering my calls again...”

Didn’t I give her a new number? She should be able to reach me, it’s so confusing.

Su Chengyu laughed wryly: ”Hearing what you said makes it clear you’re overthinking. I didn’t sleep well last night and haven’t gone anywhere today, just sleeping with my phone on silent. You called, and I didn’t hear it, how could I answer? By the way, the message you sent saying you got wet, was that deliberate?”

”Yes.” She admitted honestly. ”I wanted to see you. I wanted to see if you’d come for that.”

Su Chengyu could only sigh with a smile. Then he asked, ”How’s your hand, is it alright?”

”I just got it wet again.”

”...I’ll come over right away.”

”Okay, okay.” Ning Wenxian nodded happily.

Su Chengyu felt trapped, both vexing and sweet at the same time.

When Su Chengyu arrived at Ning Wenxian’s hotel room, he found Ning Wenxian’s hand was indeed dripping wet, and immediately reprimanded: ”No matter what, you shouldn’t harm yourself!”

Though scolding, Su Chengyu still found the first aid kit in the room to re-treat Ning Wenxian’s wounds.

”If you keep getting your hand wet, it won’t just be rotten, it might be crippled.” Su Chengyu continued to scold.

Ning Wenxian was pleased to hear him scold and laughed, saying: ”My hand doesn’t matter; you coming is what’s most important.”

Su Chengyu was first taken aback, then laughed helplessly: ”Last night you said to give me time to think, and now you’re pushing me? Are you sure that’s right?”

Ning Wenxian whispered, ”I’m just afraid you’ll take too long, and lose the desire to be with me.”

Su Chengyu paused again, then smiled: ”How come I don’t know I have the heart to be with you again?”

Ning Wenxian looked at him, ”You said you’d think it over, doesn’t that show you have that heart?”

Su Chengyu shook his head, laughing as he finished treating her hand, then said: ”Don’t get your hand wet anymore, if you keep hurting yourself, I won’t even think about it.”

Ning Wenxian immediately promised not to hurt herself anymore, and urged Su Chengyu to seriously consider being with her.

By the time Su Chengyu returned home from Ning Wenxian’s place, it was already ten at night. Upon entering the living room, he ran into Su Changyi who was downstairs making juice for An Jing.

Su Chengyu was feeling troubled, unable to talk to his father for fear of getting scolded, so upon seeing his brother, he lit up and called: ”Brother, I need to talk to you about something.”

After a pause, he emphasized: ”It’s about a major life decision!”

Su Changyi glanced at him indifferently as he walked toward the juicer, then said calmly: ”Wait a moment.”

After finishing the juice, Su Changyi took it upstairs for An Jing to drink, then came out and went to the study to listen to Su Chengyu’s so-called major life issue.

Then, Su Chengyu poured out all his troubles.

After hearing Su Chengyu’s words, Su Changyi calmly concluded: ”If you’re troubled, it means you’ve fallen for her again and want to be with her.”
