Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2252: Chapter 2253: Uneasy Heart and Mind

As soon as she left the Su Family, An Baobei took a taxi to the airport. Since it was a sudden decision to leave today, An Baobei hadn’t booked a ticket in advance, nor had she thought about where to go. She simply checked for any available flights and wanted to leave S city as soon as possible.

There happened to be a flight to K City departing in ten minutes, so An Baobei decided to go to K City.

In fact, K City isn’t too far from S city; it takes just an hour and a half by plane. As soon as An Baobei arrived in K City, she hailed a taxi at the airport entrance to take her to a hotel where she could settle down.

Once she got in the taxi and told the driver which hotel to go to, An Baobei fell silent, looking out the window forlornly as the scenery outside moved backward because of the car’s motion.

Actually, An Baobei wasn’t really paying attention to the scenery outside. She was in a state of emptiness, and after about three minutes, she finally made up her mind, lowered her eyes, and sent a text message to Ning Zihan.

”You can agree to my second uncle being with your sister now. I’ve already left that house and am no longer part of that family.”

After sending the message, An Baobei turned off her phone.

On the other side, Ning Zihan was working in his office when he got startled by the message from An Baobei.

He only refused to let his sister be with Su Chengyu to avoid further entanglements in reality, not to make her leave that house!

And hadn’t she also wished to sever ties with him? He was just doing what she wanted, so what exactly was she doing now?!

Knowing that An Baobei is an orphan and not knowing where she’d go after leaving the Su Family, Ning Zihan was anxious and worried. He finally called An Baobei; it was his first time calling her, but all he got in return was an impersonal service message: ”Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is currently powered off.”

Now even more unsettled, Ning Zihan didn’t hesitate for a moment and called Su Changyi.

Meanwhile, in S city, Su Changyi had just returned home with An Jing after her prenatal check-up. As they got out of the car, they saw Su Haoyu coming back with a lot of children’s items.

The three of them entered the house laughing and chatting.

But they had barely gone up a step when Su Changyi’s phone rang. Instinctively, he took his phone out of his pocket, and upon seeing it was a call from Ning Zihan, he didn’t want to answer.

An Jing noticed this, and seeing that Su Changyi wasn’t willing to take the call, she said, ”Honey, you should answer it. He’s not the type to call without a reason, so he must have something to discuss with you.”

Only then did Su Changyi answer the call.

As soon as the call connected, Ning Zihan’s urgent voice came through: ”Boss Su, has An Baobei really left the Su Family and is no longer part of it?”

Su Changyi’s face darkened: ”What nonsense are you spouting?”

An Jing overheard and frowned.

”Hasn’t she left the Su Family?” Ning Zihan started doubting the authenticity of the message, ”But she sent me a text telling me to agree to my sister and Su Ershao, and she also said she’s left the Su Family and is no longer one of them.”

Upon hearing this, Su Changyi became anxious.

An Jing was even more flustered and, unable to walk quickly due to her pregnancy, urged Su Changyi, ”Honey, hurry inside and see if Baobei has really left.”

Su Changyi hurried into the house and went upstairs.

Su Haoyu, who had also heard, became very anxious and also rushed inside to see what was going on.

An Jing still had four steps to climb, and without Su Changyi’s support, she had to slowly navigate them on her own with her big belly.
