Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1799: Chapter 1800: Safe and Sound

After Tuobanya left, Ye Zhi said to An Jing, ”Boss, Jade Jade has woken up, and there hasn’t been any rejection reaction for so long, it seems normal. This should indicate that your blood is suitable for her, right?”

An Jing frowned and said, ”I don’t know either, all I know is that transfusing the wrong blood can kill.”

She only understood some medical knowledge, but wasn’t proficient.

Ye Zhi also wasn’t proficient and said, ”I think even if there was a rejection reaction, it would have happened long ago. Look, you’ve given her so much blood, and if it was wrong, how could it take so long for rejection to occur? She’s awake now too, my husband said apart from being a bit weak, she’s fine. Her life was probably really saved by us.”

An Jing said, ”That’s just your reasoning. We don’t really understand these things, can’t be completely sure. How can you expect me to be at ease? Let’s wait a few more days. If she still doesn’t show any abnormal signs, then I’ll believe the blood was transfused correctly.”

...

As soon as An Jing and the others left, Tuobanya said to Meng Zhuqing, ”Where’s the baby? I want to see the baby.”

Tuobanya was very weak and still couldn’t sit up, only able to lie there.

”Next door, afraid of disturbing you. I’ll bring him to you right away,” said Meng Zhuqing, and then went next door to bring the baby.

During the pregnancy, Meng Zhuqing and Tuobanya had already decided on the baby’s name. They picked names for both a boy and a girl. Now the gender is confirmed; it’s a boy, naturally named with the boy’s name they chose—Meng Yuanze.

Meng Zhuqing held the swaddled baby Meng Yuanze, bringing him to Tuobanya’s eyes, allowing her to see the baby’s little face without sitting up.

Upon seeing the child, Tuobanya couldn’t control her tears, ”It’s a boy, right?”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Tuobanya’s tears instantly fell, and she cried and laughed as she spoke to Meng Zhuqing, ”Husband, I gave you a son, now you have an heir...”

Whether the child was a boy or a girl, she could accept it; she would love them the same. But a boy was even better.

A boy meant her husband had an heir.

With this child, she wouldn’t feel so indebted to her husband anymore.

Meng Zhuqing’s eyes reddened too, trembling, he softly landed a kiss on Tuobanya’s forehead before choking on his words, ”Whether the child is a boy or a girl doesn’t matter; what’s important is... you’re safe.”

Tuobanya choked up as well.

She always knew he didn’t care whether she could give him a child; he truly loved her for who she was. Only he could give her a sense of security; at this moment, she felt truly happy.

Not knowing what to say to express her joy, Tuobanya simply cried and laughed, nodding randomly at Meng Zhuqing, ”Yes.”

She was safe.

She and their child were safe.

Their future days could only get better.

...

Five days later, seeing Tuobanya’s body slowly recovering, with no signs of rejection reaction, An Jing finally believed the blood was transfused correctly to Tuobanya.

However, though she believed, An Jing still couldn’t completely relax.

In modern times, blood transfusions require checking, but she and Ye Zhi didn’t check anything before transfusing blood to Tuobanya. She feared any after-effects.

But three months passed, and baby Meng Yuanze was already three months old, while Tuobanya’s body had long since fully recovered with no symptoms of discomfort. Only then did An Jing fully relax and stop worrying.
