Chapter 1777: Chapter 1778: Begging in Tears

Tobanya was initially stunned, but soon, despite the intense pain in her abdomen, she hurriedly got out of bed, knelt in front of Doctor Wu, and pleaded tearfully, ”Doctor Wu, I beg you, help me keep this child, even if it costs me my life. Please, I beg you...”

”Commandery Princess, what are you...” She is the Commandery Princess, how could Doctor Wu dare to let Tobanya kneel to him? But as men and women should not touch, he dared not help Tobanya up. He could only kneel down as well, facing Tobanya.

Yet Tobanya continued to cry bitterly and plead, ”Can I kowtow to you? I beg you, Doctor Wu, you must help me keep this child.” She had finally gotten pregnant, how could it be gone just like that? She couldn’t accept it! She really couldn’t accept it!

”Commandery Princess, this must not be!” Doctor Wu couldn’t let Tobanya kowtow to him. Before Tobanya could do so, he frantically kowtowed towards her.

An Jing couldn’t bear to see Tobanya like this and turned her eyes away, looking elsewhere. At this moment, she truly felt that Tobanya was suffering.

If the child couldn’t be saved, it would have been better not to be pregnant. But now she was pregnant, yet it cannot be saved...

Meng Zhuqing, as Tobanya’s husband and someone deeply in love with her, was even more unable to bear seeing her this way. Holding back the pain in his heart, his eyes reddened as he helped Tobanya up, speaking gently and chokingly, ”Yao’er, it’s okay if we can’t save it, just consider it as if you were never pregnant, alright?”

Tobanya shook her head vigorously while crying, her emotions extremely agitated, ”I am pregnant, why can’t it be saved? Husband, I must keep this child, I want to give birth to it. I dream every night of giving you a child, our child, a child I give birth to for you... sob...”

As Tobanya spoke, she cried almost to the point of losing consciousness. She really couldn’t accept the fact that she couldn’t keep her child.

After finally calming down, Tobanya wanted to kneel and plead with Doctor Wu again, but Meng Zhuqing wouldn’t let her kneel, holding her tightly, allowing her to cry, struggle, and grieve in his arms.

Eventually, Meng Zhuqing couldn’t hold back, and tears fell from his eyes. He knew how much Tobanya hoped for them to have their own child, the more he knew, the more his heart ached for Tobanya now.

He even felt that if they couldn’t save the child one day, Tobanya might go crazy because of it.

As a physician, Doctor Wu couldn’t bear to see Tobanya like this either, but he still had to say what needed to be said, ”I will prescribe medicine to help ensure the child’s safety, but whether it can be saved depends on fate.”

Then, Doctor Wu bowed to An Jing, saying, ”I am powerless, and ask the Queen for forgiveness.”

An Jing waved her hand, saying, ”Alright, you should quickly go prepare the medicine. Pause and said, ”Your Imperial Hospital must do its utmost.”

Doctor Wu immediately responded fearfully, ”The Imperial Hospital certainly doesn’t dare to hold back.”

After Doctor Wu made the medicine for retaining the child and sent someone to prepare it, An Jing comforted Tobanya, who had cried until she couldn’t make a sound, ”Jade Jade, if you want to keep this child, crying so emotionally will make it even harder to save it.”

Although Tobanya couldn’t cry out loud anymore, she was still in tears. Upon hearing An Jing’s words, she quickly wiped her tears. After wiping them away, she even smiled at An Jing, her face full of hope, ”Like this, the child should be able to be saved, right?”

An Jing’s throat instantly tightened.

Meng Zhuqing felt even worse, but seeing Tobanya’s emotions seemed to calm down a lot, he finally released her, letting her lie back on the bed.
