Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1764: Chapter 1765: If You Didn’t Feel This Way, That Wouldn’t Be Normal

”Furthermore,” An Jing continued, ”you should also be able to see that even though you and your husband are their godparents, my children treat you the same way they do us as their biological parents. If you don’t mind, from now on, consider my kids as your own.”

”How could I mind?” Tobanya was very alarmed. Then, she lowered her gaze. ”Madam, let me speak from the heart, please don’t be offended. Even if I treat Jing’er and the others as my own, they ultimately weren’t born from me. I’m still someone who cannot have children. What bothers me is that I can’t give my husband a child.”

An Jing held Tobanya’s hand a bit tighter, ”You love Meng Zhuqing, so naturally, you care about this. It would be abnormal if you didn’t care. Back then, I thought I couldn’t have children. Although my husband and I were very happy, there was always a feeling of something missing... I truly understand the pain in your heart right now. But, Jade Jade, this is not your fault at all. You can’t keep punishing yourself for this and making yourself feel sad.”

”You know,” An Jing continued, ”Jing’er, Qinger, Yun’er see you’re not happy, and they’ve been discussing ways to cheer you up, to make you feel better. Even if you don’t consider Meng Zhuqing’s feelings, I beg you, for my three children’s sake, to feel better, okay? They truly care about you.”

Tobanya thought about how Su Yi Jing, An Yiqing, and An Yiyun had been trying to cheer her up recently. Unconsciously, her eyes turned red, but she smiled, nodding with a choked voice, ”Mm.”

Even though she couldn’t bear children, there were still many children who genuinely cared about her.

Moreover, she didn’t want her husband to suffer alongside her.

Seeing Tobanya able to smile, and her smile no longer forced, An Jing knew Tobanya had let go a lot, which gave her peace of mind. After exchanging a few more heartfelt words with her, An Jing returned to her residence in the palace.

...

Since getting into a fight with Young Master Shen, An Yiqing had changed somewhat. He no longer only focused on having fun all the time, but instead, he started learning things with his elder brother Su Yi Jing, following Xiao Changyi.

Especially in learning martial arts, An Yiqing stopped being lazy and put in great effort.

An Jing was really surprised by this, and asked An Yiqing why he had suddenly become so diligent. An Yiqing said naturally, ”In the future, I’m the one who will protect you all. Without some skills, how can I protect you?”

Hearing this, An Jing and the others felt particularly gratified.

...

That day, Xiao Changyi was at the training ground teaching Su Yi Jing and An Yiqing archery, with Meng Zhuqing assisting. Meanwhile, An Jing and Tobanya were in the Royal Palace Back Garden with the three little beauties.

The back garden had rockeries, ponds, many flowers, and enough space, which is why the three little beauties loved coming there.

”To report to the Queen, General Qi Weimeng seeks an audience,” suddenly, Qin Yi came to report.

An Jing, who was holding a little beauty by the pond feeding the koi, heard this and said, ”Bring him here.”

”Yes.”

An Jing placed the little beauty in her arms on the ground, held the child’s hand, and walked to the pavilion, taking a seat.

In the pavilion were two other little beauties and Tobanya.

Tobanya was arranging flowers, and the two little beauties were happily helping by handing flower branches to Tobanya.

Of course, the two little beauties were quite mischievous; they had plucked some petals with their small hands.

As soon as Qi Weimeng arrived, he knelt down on one knee with his fist cupped in his hand, and said, ”Greetings to the Queen, may the Queen live for thousands and thousands of years.”
