Chapter 1765: Chapter 1766: The Truth Comes to Light

When Qi Weimeng got up, An Jing asked, ”General Qi, what brings you to see me?”

Qi Weimeng hesitated for a moment, then replied, ”This General has a favor to ask, and I hope the Queen will grant it.”

”Tell me what it is first, then I will decide.”

”This General is here to ask the Queen for help. This General knows that my status is low and shouldn’t trouble the Queen, but I truly have no other option. My wife has repeatedly concealed from me that she aborted our children. Half a month ago, the truth came out, and I found out. I asked her, and she said she just doesn’t want to have children. No matter how my parents and siblings try to persuade her with kind words, she refuses to listen. Now, the relationship between us has become extremely strained, so I came to ask the Queen for help. I hope the Queen can persuade her that even if she doesn’t want to have children, she shouldn’t hide it from me and abort them. As the nation’s mother and her former instructor, I believe she will listen to you.”

Shi Shi actually aborted the children multiple times?!

An Jing and Tobanya were both very shocked. The three little beauties didn’t understand this; they continued to play among themselves.

Tobanya, besides being surprised, was extremely disapproving. It’s not like they can’t afford to raise the children, so why not give birth to them? The more children, the more blessings!

She actually wants to have a child, but she has never been able to get pregnant. How come others can get pregnant so easily...

Unconsciously, Tobanya felt somewhat uncomfortable inside. Shi Shi doesn’t want to give birth, but she really wants to. But if she can’t get pregnant, how can she give birth?

An Jing didn’t rush to find Shi Shi but asked again: ”Why doesn’t she want to have children? Did she say?”

Qi Weimeng replied truthfully: ”She said she doesn’t like children.”

After pausing for a moment, he added, ”This General really can’t understand her. The more children, the more blessings! Which woman doesn’t want to have more children? But she... This General truly can’t understand. This General’s mother has even fallen ill out of anger over this matter.”

”This General also told her that I really like children. Now the situation is like this; This General doesn’t want her to have many, just hopes she can give me one child. Since she doesn’t like children, she can let my parents raise the child after it’s born. But she disagreed, firmly refusing to give me any children.”

”This General’s parents hope for heirs, but she refuses to give me even one child, so my parents truly dislike her now, even urging me to divorce her. But I don’t want to divorce her, yet she won’t give me a child, leaving me very conflicted.”

”She probably doesn’t want to make things difficult for me either, suggesting I divorce her. She said she’s the first wife and if I take a concubine, the concubine’s child would be a Commons Son, which is not desirable. Queen, This General has truly run out of options.” Qi Weimeng is genuinely exhausted from heart and soul.

He sincerely likes Shi Shi, but Shi Shi seems to not like him as much. Otherwise, why wouldn’t she even give him one child?

Upon hearing this, An Jing was also a bit taken aback. Shi Shi was a soldier she personally trained and she has some affection for Shi Shi. Now, seeing Shi Shi’s marriage in such turmoil, she couldn’t possibly ignore it.

”Then I will go with you.” An Jing stood up and then turned to Tobanya and said, ”Jade Jade, the children are in your care, I am going to the Marquis’ Mansion.”

Tobanya stopped flower arranging and got up as well: ”Queen, I want to go with you.”

”This...”

”I want to go; I have some words to say to Shi Shi.”

”Alright then.” An Jing agreed.
