COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hoshinomiya, who was sitting next to Chabashira and looked like she was about to pass out from drinking, gently raised her face.

Her eyes flickered across the faces of male teachers who had just thought Chabashira was good.

She decided to memorize all the names of these idiots. ’If Sae-chan leaves this school, where will I go?’

Hoshinomiya has an obsession with Chabashira.

Because she and her were actually friends, and even developed into besties.

In a special exam where everyone in the class is unanimous in facing a big decision as they were about to be promoted to A.

The exam required entire class to decide which student would be expelled, and person was also designated, and they were top three students in class in all subjects.

As long as whole class drops out one student, can get 300 points in evaluation.

At that time, was only 400 points away from Class A in front of them, so this exam was very important.

At that time, Shizuka Hiratsuka, as class representative, volunteered to sacrifice herself, hoping that everyone would vote for her and win the 300 points.

Everyone also made an agreement to vote.

However, Chabashira opposed the actions of Hiratsuka Shizuka, who was class representative at the time, and voted against it.

This caused to miss the opportunity to continue moving forward.

If you think about it carefully, Chabashira probably did that because she didn’t want to watch Hiratsuka-san drop out of school.

’I cannot accept that everyone climbed up at the expense of Hiratsuka-san who worked so hard these years. Do these people have no shame?!”

But, that was Hiratsuka’s own choice.

After you graduate and have a bright future, wouldn’t it be okay to give Hiratsuka some subsidies?

So to speak. What Chabashira did was really wrong.

If she chose Hiratsuka-san, it also meant giving up on her.

Because she and Chabashira are classmates.

Therefore, if her class cannot be promoted, then her power will also be reduced to decline.

Chabashira made that choice, which means that she would rather choose Hiratsuka-san and give up on future, that’s extremely important to girls like Hoshinomiya Chie.

So to speak.

If special exam that determined the fate of their class had not been held at the beginning, perhaps everyone would have a completely different future now.

Maybe she would be different.

Chie would have even continued to treat Chabashira as a friend.

“By the way, there won’t be any exams next time.”

“Is it time for us to enjoy the ship?”

“I asked Akeno-sensei and she said yes!”

“Fuck yeeah!”

The students were in a good mood.

Now it has been 3 days since Treasure hunt.

At first, because of agreed extended vacation, there was a special exam.

However, when people asked the class teacher again, got the news that being on ship was a pure vacation, so every student was basically enjoying themselves.

But Hikigaya-kun, on the other hand, doesn’t have that much energy, he basically stays in his room.

Although one has to seize the opportunity to enjoy the free and high-priced treatment together, Hachiman does not think that rich woman who can support him can allow him to enjoy this treatment often.

So while have the chance now, we should enjoy it. But he hadn’t left his room for three days.

’Because. Eh. In this case, wouldn’t my future choice only be limited to junior Amasawa? Although I don’t hate girls younger than me...But is it really appropriate to let such a young girl raise me?’

Hachiman thought it would be nice if he could go home and talk to his sister about life.

He felt that he had stayed in the room for too long, so walked out of the room and came to deck.

It’s a cloudy day today, but there aren’t many students on.

Hachiman leaned on the guardrail and looked at surging sea ahead.

I heard footsteps.

“Guess who I am~” a voice came from behind.

“Baaah....!” Hikigaya-kun was startled.

“• ? •”

“What’s wrong with you?” the girl who just made the sound puffed her cheeks angrily, and waved her fists at him, “Am I that scary?”

Hachiman turned around and saw that it was 3rd cutest girl in the school, Karuizawa-san.

“I was just thinking about something......”

“.....” Karuizawa. ’Is that so? So, if it wasn’t me, then who do you think it was? Or who did you mistake me for?’

“I heard from girls they booked indoor swimming pool on ship and played in the water. Then no boys were allowed to enter. You’re not going...oh, sorry.”

He recalled that Karuizawa’s weakness was the past of being bullied, and then... She once wanted to resist, but almost lost her life.

The resistance left a scar on her abdomen.

This has become a psychological shadow in her heart, so she dare not show it in front of outsiders, and is even more afraid of being asked how the scar came about.

So, probably won’t change clothes in the locker room with everyone else.

“It’s in the past. I have to move on, too. So, you haven’t shown up for three days. Did anything happen to you?” Karuizawa sighed a little, and then instantly cheered up suddenly wriggling her fingers at him.

“Yes.” However, Hikigaya-kun nodded with a complicated expression, “I think I’m being pursued madly by Amasawa Ichika. When I think about it... I’m embarrassed. Before, I always thought that maybe I had too many feelings, but this time, I think it’s okay even if I have too much....”

“…” Hey!

Karuizawa discovered that whenever she met this man alone, he always talked to her about his personal affairs. ’But it’s Amasawa Ichika again. Is this school girl so awesome?’

“Didn’t I tell you about the solution?” Kei thought that maybe it was time to bring up her own future, “If you’re worried about losing your sovereignty, then why don’t you propose another agreement to deal with Amasawa Ichika?”

“It’s just that her actions are scary.” Hikigaya-kun shuddered on the spot, and it’s definitely not because of sea breeze, “After Treasure hunt exam, she transferred 5 million points to me. She said she would support me. It’s really tempting.”

“…..” Karuizawa didn’t what to say for a while. ’Then you, my Kouhai Amasawa Ichika, are really reliable. Because I don’t think I could earn 5 million for him all at once. How abominable! Is this gap between ordinary people and geniuses?’

“Um... this student. Can you lend me Hikigaya-kun first?”

However, at this time, a middle-aged man in a white suit and a smile on his face walked towards here.

Karuizawa found herself being hit on.

“Acting Chairman!” She was startled.

There is nothing that can be done about it, because she is just an ordinary student.

If Chairman suddenly appears in front of her, she will definitely be scared.

“... There’s no need to have such exaggerated reaction, okay? I am not a demon....”

“Chairman Tsukishiro, do you have anything else to say?” Hachiman took two steps forward, stood in front of Karuizawa protectively, and looked at Tsukishiro with caution.

“• • ....cough! In fact, I was preparing for a particularly cruel special exam. And as Chief examiner, my feelings became a little complicated, but I am resigning, so I want to leave an exam that will leave a deep impression on students. So I want to add more dropout elements.”

“• ! •” Karuizawa’s face became ugly.

Wow. Can such a thing be said in front of them as ordinary students?

But Hachiman felt that Tsukishiro definitely didn’t want to talk about this.

“Okay, you go home first.”

Yeah, she left dazedly with her back lowered as if Karuizawa felt very much depressed and lost her soul.

So Hachiman and Tsukishiro found a quiet place together.

I don’t know if it was intentional, but the place Tsukishiro chose was exactly McDonald’s where he borrowed money from Hachiman before Treasure hunt.

It makes people doubt your motives.

“Do you need anything?” After all, he was an adult, so Mr. Tsukishiro decided to act like an adult.

“Well, I want some spicy wings, not grilled wings, because they are not flavorful. And then a large glass of Coke,” Hikigaya-kun said calmly, but then noticed that Mr. Tsukishiro’s expression was a little surprised, “What’s wrong?”

“No, I’m just a little surprised. Or rather, I thought you would be polite and won’t order much.”

Oh. This one.

In other words, it was just a polite remark. Hachiman had learned a lot about this from Kushida.

Sometimes people’s invitations were just a courtesy, not out of a genuine desire for you to come, or even want to leave them alone.

But here for Tsukishiro.

“I think we can order some food. Because Mr. Tsukishiro wants to tell me something. And the content is definitely not related to next special exam. For example, some complaints. So, this can be regarded as a part of my compensation for giving you therapy.”

“.....” Tsukishiro was speechless.

Indeed.

Generally speaking, he had been through a lot, so his mentality shouldn’t have fluctuated so much.

But it turned out that he had accumulated some pressure.

Because there had never been so many negative things in any of the previous missions.

He was injured, task was thankless, teammates around him were the type that he couldn’t talk to, and he lost his subordinates, and even made mistakes himself.

It’s very stressful!

Moreover, Tsukishiro has also decided to leave next month, but there are still some things that need to be dealt with.

“Then let’s order. As you can see, I was ordered by Ayanokoji’s father to drop him out of school.”
