COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“So from now on, Karuizawa you have to slowly accumulate points. Before you graduate, you don’t have to worry. Just keep working for me. I will provide you with 50,000 yen of living expenses every month from now on.”

“....” Karuizawa didn’t have words.

“.....” ’Why is everything money about you? Are you really in love wit----’

She looked at him badly.

“Don’t you agree?” Hachiman noticed that the blonde girl’s expression seemed a little strange.

“No, of course I don’t have a choice. Aren’t you the only one who knows my true self? So you are the only one I can rely on, and you have living expenses every month, so my life is guaranteed.”

’But it feels weird. It’s like I’m being kept by you!’ Karuizawa never said such words to his face.

Then she received a message from her friends saying that Shinohara wanted to have dinner with her, so she had to leave first.

Shinohara Satsuki was injured in exam on the uninhabited island, and Komiya from Hachiman’s class was also punished.

Both were dealt with appropriately.

There are no physical problems. At the same time, compensation was also received.

Each person received 500,000 points in compensation.

It didn’t seem like much, but both of them seemed to find it acceptable, and the criminal, Hosen Kazuomi, had been dealt with.

But it was not Hosen. Hikigaya knew that culprit of this exam was junior Yagami, former is just a scapegoat.

Although Hosen and Ryuen are from the same place, the way he uses violence and methods are different from Ryuen.

At least Ryuen will not use a knife directly on people. The threat to students is still too great.

Hosen and Ryuen don’t get along, and Hikigaya-kun is now in Ryuen’s class, so naturally he’s on other side.

So, Ryuen set up a trap to frame Hosen and then arranged for to be the scapegoat.

Although he knew, did not stop it.

This is also the difference between Hachiman and Horikita Manabu, who is more straightforward and prefers to use legitimate means to deal with things.

While Hachiman, as long as an acceptable result can be achieved, does not have so many restrictions on the methods used in between.

“Boom boom!”

After sending Karuizawa off, someone knocked on Hachiman’s room again.

But by this time he was already dressed.

When Karuizawa came over before, although she sat down and looked straight ahead, Hachiman felt that other party’s eyes seemed to be mostly on him.

It made him feel like he was exposing too much and felt a little uncomfortable.

”Hikigaya-kun!” This time, person who appeared at Hachiman’s door was his former classmate, Hirata, who had short light green hair.

“What’s up?”

Hikigaya nodded to Hirata, turned around and closed the door. He was also about to go out.

The time now is already half past six.

“Are you free? Let’s have dinner together.” Hirata extended the invitation enthusiastically, looking at Hikigaya-kun very eagerly.

“.....” Deja-vu.

Hikigaya-kun looked at Hirata and said nothing.

To be honest, he didn’t dislike good people like Hirata, also assisted him in the past exams.

Hikigaya-kun is not someone who forgets his roots, “No, I want to be alone for a while.”

“.....” Readers.

“I see. That’s a pity.” Hirata-kun lowered his head, obviously disappointed.

“....” Hachiman’s camera might have thought Hirata was going to be a pervert again, “So, you really have nothing to do with me?”

Hachiman is now getting ready to go out to deck to enjoy the breeze for a while, and then go to meet Asahina-senpai.

But it’s also strange to see a grown man showing his loss so blatantly in front of his own door.

“It’s actually about Koenji-kun, he might want to leave the class.”

Hachiman saw this on the deck, and he also saw that Hirata did not stop Koenji at that time, and he thought that child had grown.

He understood that Hirata-kun came here now because he wanted to discuss his life in detail, which meant that he had so-called troubles of growing up.

He checked the time. Half past six. Agreed to meet Asahina-senpai at seven o’clock.

So there is still time.

“Then let’s go eat together. You probably have a lot to say, and you want to find someone to talk to.”

“Hikigaya-kun!” Hirata’s eyes seemed to light up in an instant, “Then let’s go. I know there’s a buffet over there in the restaurant. It tastes delicious.”

Hirata smiled instantly, and then excitedly urged Hikigaya to go out with him, as if he was afraid that bastard would run away.

This scene naturally fell into Hachiman’s eyes.

This made Hikigaya-kun a little shaken.

In Commander’s tower exam last year, Hirata wanted to become ”friends” with him.

This kind of friend is different from the ordinary type of friend like Ichinose.

Instead, it is the kind of friend like Kushida who can get each other’s secrets and confess.

That is to say.

Is this what Hikigaya-kun expected when he first transferred to this school? Maybe he can also make a friend or two?

“I’m a little uncomfortable with Hikigaya-kun leaving class. But I can accept this result. And Koenji’s departure was actually within our expectations, but we didn’t expect it to happen so soon—--”

“But the fact that he urgently needs 8 million points makes me feel a little uneasy, just like his extreme distrust of this class...Although some people are excessive, there are also some who are trustworthy partners. But since Koenji-kun has chosen his own direction, I have no choice but to assist him...”

Along the way.

Hirata kept on talking, but Hachiman had already had experience hearing people talk trash.

Besides, Hirata-kun is very gentle, totally different from Kushida-chan.

“So, are you feeling better now?” Hachiman said to Hirata with a dead expression on his face.

“Yeah,” Hirata’s mother nodded with a nice smile on lips, “I’ve discovered that a person’s inner endurance has its limits, and it would be very comfortable if someone could listen. Hikigaya-kun, can I ask you out again in the future? I think Kushida-san might have had a hard time as well. But she sometimes walks with you, which makes people feel jealous.”

Is that so? It seems that Hirata also understands people quite well.

In other words, from his perspective, Kushida-chan looks like the same type as him.

This is the same as when Kushida went to see Hirata. She also felt that boy must not just want to help people, you have bad thoughts.

She directly called him a pervert inside her brain.

We all know that both of them look good and excellent, but they were assigned to Class D.

So was there something recorded in the files and they were severely deducted points?

So, two of them went to a buffet restaurant, which was very popular among students where different grades could be seen.

Hachiman and Hirata went to get the food together.

But when they finished queuing and were taking plates back, they suddenly noticed a blonde girl sitting on the side looking at them.

She is eating a sandwich.

Perhaps it was because of the sudden eye contact that girl seemed stunned.

Then even choked. She quickly reached for the water cup beside her, but unfortunately it was empty.

Hachiman then handed over the cup of water he had just received.

The other person took it and drank it down in one gulp.

It’s like being alive again.

“Thank you, thank you, Hikigaya-senpai,” the other person said, her cheeks slightly red, looking a little embarrassed.

“....” Hikigaya-senpai. ’It seems that my trip doesn’t have to be so rushed.’

Because Hikigaya-kun has now met the second person he was going to meet tonight, Nanase.

’Since I’ve given psychological counseling to Hirata, I can also take care of Nanase’s share.....’

This cafeteria is very popular and many students choose to dine here.

After all, if you go to a restaurant you can only choose a few dishes, but at a buffet, it’s free and you can eat whatever you want.

So it was a little crowded and there weren’t many empty tables.

Hachiman noticed that Nanase was alone. With the shortage of tables, she occupied a table by herself. If she was not difficult to get along with, then she was really alone.

No Friends’ status.

“Can we eat together?” Hachiman asked politely.

“Yes, of course. I just drank water from you, Senpai.” Nanase seemed to feel very sorry, so if Hikigaya-kun sat down with her, she could go and get him some water.

Hachiman suddenly had some enlightenment, which was why he felt that Karuizawa and Nanase Tsubasa were somewhat similar.

Not all have just beautiful blonde hair. It’s mainly about dog personality.
