COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“So what do I need to do now?” Nanase’s face became weak, to be exact became a licker.

It was as if all secrets in her heart were exposed, began to lose her direction.

She originally wanted to contact Ayanokoji-senpai and have his father apologize to Matsuo and his son.

???

What a cute girl.

However, reality is that Ayanokoji himself is in danger!

The other party has now said that he was asked to drop out of school by his father, and then because of uniqueness of this school, he had the opportunity to stay.

His not being expelled was a counterattack against his father.

Then helping Ayanokoji-senpai to avoid being expelled is real counterattack against that man!

“….” Hikigaya-senpai looked at this girl who had begun to change her mindset.

’If I understand correctly, this girl was actually fooled by Ayanokoji, who deliberately changed the concept, turning the Kouhai from a hostile person into a supporter of his side who should not be expelled. However, this result may not be a bad thing for Nanase. Although girl showed signs of schizophrenia, I believe that Eiichiro’s personality was probably not truly split, but rather she was trying to justify her bad actions of attacking others with a cover-up of necessity. The reason I think so is that after her personality is classified, she can switch back to normal speech at any time. Ordinary mental patients definitely can’t do this. But her heart was considered 30% untouchable by a master like Kushida, and this must be it. She can’t accept that she didn’t do anything. So, can’t forgive herself for this. There is guilt in your heart. However, she did not do anything wrong in the suicide of her childhood sweetheart, or rather, as an ordinary junior high school student, she was powerless to do anything when faced with such a serious incident. The bad one is Ayanokoji’s father. Then no need for her to continue to bear guilt of the past. So even though she has been tricked by Ayanokoji into becoming his helper, I will just let him be....After all, real bad guy is father. Now Ayanokoji’s refusal to drop out of school seems to be an act of rebellion against. At least that’s what it seems like on surface....’

Kiyotaka stared at him breaking his train of thoughts.

Hachiman felt that more he understood White Room or Ayanokoji’s father, the dirtier things he saw.

He just suppressed his nausea.

Looking at Nanase, if she can study in this school, that is different from others and has early social simulation.

And even Manabu said at graduation that one day in the future, you will definitely understand that everyone has gained something in this school.

’Nanase is so innocent that she might be fooled by someone if she is released. It is better to gain some knowledge and experience.....’ So, after thinking about it, Hachiman, a good senpai gave her another lesson.

“You can’t change the past, you can only look forward. And since Ayanokoji is against his father, then we can just help and support him. At same time, since you have entered this school, will spend high school years here.”

“Can I live a normal life like this?” Nanase seemed a little unsure.

“Why not?” Hikigaya-senpai asked as if he couldn’t understand her reason for the doubts, “What kind of person do you think your childhood sweetheart is? Does he want you to avenge him? Or does he want you to be depressed for the rest of your life?”

“I……he.”

This made Nanase silent.

In her impression, Eiichiro was certainly not a bad person. That was why she could not accept that such a good boy would have such an outcome.

As a result, were her actions actually going against Eiichiro’s expectations of her?

“....” Kiyotaka saw the manipulation, he looked at Hachiman with a look that can only seemed to be curious.

“I will stab your eyes with Horikita’s compass, Ayanokoji.”

“Oh....” He pretended to be dumb.

But, Hachiman obviously didn’t buy his stupid face, and looked at him badly, “This time I received another student from White Room who disobeyed orders at H10 location, and I also learned about plan this time. There is a small boat in H10 area, and people waiting on the sea. I suspect they will lure you over and use violence to abduct you.”

Click. Click.

“I see.....” Kiyotaka was silent for a moment, and only gave vague replies, but quickly a monotone speech without emotions laced out his next reaction, “There is only one option I can choose.”

If other party doesn’t take the normal route, then you don’t need to take the normal route either.

“Then I wish you success,” Hachiman’s face turned grim, he might have just guessed his plan.

“You are smart, Hikigaya.”

Kiyotaka left alone in direction, his footsteps can be heard going away, his hands in pocket.

Swish! Swish!

Wind blowing his hair.

“....Bastard.”

An innocent but ominous feeling arose in Hachiman’s heart, if boy had to describe the sight in front of his eyes.

It might be like.....

God walking among Mortals.

Next, if you check information of Ayanokoji’s group again, you will find that another member Yukimura Teruhiko, has given up.

However, for three consecutive days, total score of one person fighting alone continued to increase.

If Koenji and Albert’s average of 80 points per day were already unbeatable, now there is another solo king.

A high score of 100 points every day is simply outrageous!

Kiyotaka’s ranking was directly stacked up to sixth place for two and a half days.

The total score was 333 points.

Unstoppable.

When people thought he might have a chance to break into top three.

But he suddenly made a surprising move.

That was afternoon of 3rd day when Kiyotaka showed just a portion of his strength.

He abstained.

On 10th day of the exam, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka gave up.

The uninhabited island test is on 10th day. The weather is sunny.

In morning, at 9 o’clock.

The check-in and scoring time for first designated area has ended, and students have a short break, but today’s second designated area has also been sent to the emails.

Just sitting down and looking at the current ranking makes people feel unbelievable.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka actually started to work hard the day before yesterday and directly set a record of getting 100 points in one day.

And this record was not just for one day, he also got 100 points yesterday.

This is simply a monster! Inhumane!

“What a terrifying individual....” Kanzaki and Shibata from second-year Class B are in a group, and are also seed.

The two were classmates and knew each other well. In addition, they were both members of football club and had good physical body.

Shibata is also a sports nerd.

So it made sense that he was chosen to be secret weapon of 2nd-year B.

They are only ranked sixth now...oh no, just got demoted to 7th. Because Ayanokoji just surpassed them.

“Maybe we should have chosen to team up with Ayanokoji-kun from the beginning.....” Shibata-kun couldn’t help but think of such a dream, and feel tremors of horror.

Because they could only get about 40 points a day at most, and most they got was 64 if work too hard.

But then found that physical strength was declining too fast, so stopped immediately.

Because exam lasts for two weeks, if you can’t stick to it, for example, if you are very good in the first few days, but can only get a little score in the next, then final result will not be much better.

So it is better to ensure a good grade and then persist in taking exam.

This was also what Kanzaki deduced from observing the scoring plans of Ryuen and Katsuragi’s groups.

For this exam, Class A and D jointly formed a seed group.

Although Ryuen and his team only earn about 40-46 points a day, which doesn’t seem like much, it’s a steady income.

Over time, it becomes a scary number.

There is also a typical one.

That is, Utomiya Riku from 1st-year Class C, who had rushed to fifth place, began to lose strength yesterday, so he only got 20 points.

Don’t think the situation today will be very good. So only persistence will work.

Therefore, Kanzaki and Shibata also chose a slower and more stable approach.

Then get 40-50 points every day.

Although, not as good as the monsters like Koenji and Albert’s group, they can still be ranked.

Now, only 10th day of the exam.

Most of students were running out of energy, and some had even started to give up.

Even on the daily check-in and scoring in designated areas that you must attend.

Instead, brush designated area once or twice today, and then rest tomorrow.

The groups with larger numbers began to lose people, while those with smaller numbers had already begun to accept a way of survival that would result in a small point deduction every day.

Therefore, in such a situation, Kanzaki feels a little envious when he see there are still people who can be so powerful.

Especially since Ayanokoji is a student of Class C, for this exam, Class B where Kanzaki and his classmates are, and Class C have joined forces.

Then it is possible for each other’s seeded players to form a team.

“But he teamed up with a guy called Ike Kanji and Yukimura at the beginning,” Kanzaki calmly analyzed, “Then I never thought that he could be so powerful. Even more so from Koenji....”

Actually, feel a little regretful.

Because Koenji was rented by other classes from the beginning, plus Ayanokoji teamed up with people who were dragging Class C down, then wouldn’t Class B get nothing by getting involved in this mess and dragging partners?

Of course, there was also an error in judgement here.

That is, even though Ayanokoji teamed up with two students who were lagging behind, there was still a way for everyone to win together.

That is, let Ayanokoji’s companions give up. Then two of them will team up with him.

All 3 of them have strong mobility and will definitely make a name for themselves.

The fact also proved that two of Ayanokoji’s companions had indeed given up.

Then, Kiyotaka suddenly emerged from the boundaries of human potential, and scored a lot, 100 points a day, which was simply ruthless.

Or rather, no one had expected that Ayanokoji Kiyotaka was actually a monster no less powerful than Koenji Rokusuke, even more if you think deeply.

Now, it has even surpassed their scores and broken through rankings.

“But it’s not too late,” Kanzaki is a sports-type boy, but his thinking ability is not bad either, so if Ichinose is Class monitor, then he is the one who is doing shady work, plays a supporting role.

“Let’s go find Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.”

“Do you want to team up with him, Kanzaki?”

“Yeah. If we team up with him now, using strength of three of us, we can definitely get second place, even if we don’t get first. Even though, it has been delayed for so many days. But it’s not too late!”

After forming a team, points of both sides will be divided equally.

The two groups now have similar scores. They will not get any extra points if they team up.

Ayanokoji can become a helper to their group at this time.

“But, Ayanokoji’s physical strength may not be able to last for so many days. Maybe he won’t be able to do it today or even tomorrow,” However, Shibata touched his head and thought what he said was normal.

Although Ayanokoji is very good at scoring now, in the eyes of students who have already prepared for a protracted war, this effect can only last for a few days.

Now is only tenth day of exam, there are still 4 left.

Ayanokoji will definitely run out of energy.

“He will be exhausted, but as long as he can hold on for one more day, it will be a day of extra points for us. We can add 100 points, which is very attractive, isn’t it? If he can’t hold out physically, he can just give up, but his points will remain to us.” This is what Kanzaki truly think.

Shibata immediately started searching for Ayanokoji’s location in a good mood.

As a boy studying in Department of Physical Education, he usually didn’t bring anything to class, but this time he really wanted to work hard to contribute.

Just as Kanzaki said, Ayanokoji is so fierce that his physical strength will definitely be consumed, but after the team divides points equally, total score is calculated based on scores of all team members.

In designated area, team members can get extra points if they act together, but each project is calculated separately.

It is possible that all three of them brought points to group.

So, temptation is huge.

“... Ayanokoji Kiyotaka. Could it be him, the boy whom Father talked about with so much praise?”

A blondie’s face turned dark.

“Congratulations, you have won fir---”
