COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hikigaya-kun is conflicted about this new member who even wants to join his harem so willingly!

“I think everyone’s ambitions need to be respected. Besides, I don’t think you have nowhere to go. Your future can be even brighter. At the same time, even if I don’t help, probability that your plan can be completed is very high. You have taken a video of you and Shiba. As long as it is through any teacher’s phone, it can be sent to Chairman Tsukishiro’s Agent, teachers are all over the island. So, even without going through me, you can still succeed. You don’t need to treat me as a thank you, and get entangled with a guy like me. It will become a shackle, and disrespectful to yourself to sacrifice your life for something on a favor. I hope you can think carefully, Amasawa Ichika of what you are getting into.”

“Huh——” However, Amasawa now breathed a sigh of relief, that confused Hachiman to no end.

“I thought what to do if senpai directly rejected me, or what to do if you directly agreed to me. But Hikigaya-senpai actually lectured me instead. To be honest, I didn’t expect that. But I don’t agree with what you said, senpai. As you said, even if you didn’t come to me, I still have a 30% success rate. However, the fact is that I did receive help from my senior. I prefer to look at hard facts rather than make assumptions. Because, my possibility of getting rejected by Chairman is also 0% so I could never be sure. But now after everything the result is, I was saved by my senior. I will never forget this kindness. I must repay it.”

’Why are you so stupid? Do you have mental issues of convincing yourself?’ Hikigaya-senpai began to feel troubled.

“Or does Hikigaya-senpai actually dislike girls younger than him?” She became pitiful, and looked down, a bit sad expression on her face.

Forehead...Hachiman found himself unable to deny it. Actually, he does like younger girls....a bit more.

Other side, There was a light in tent.

A tall girl with purple hair seemed a little dissatisfied, “Are you up so early?” Kamuro-san yawned angrily.

Her tent was for two people.

Since, girl usually take care of Sakayanagi, it is more convenient to share a tent with her.

“I can’t sleep for a bit. The rain outside is too loud....” Arisu felt her eyes a bit groggy.

“It must be raining quite heavily,” Kamuro-san’s taunt didn’t give Sakayanagi any bad feeling, in fact she does like this kind of talk.

Although it was raining, Kamuro-san was in a good mood. Because exams were suspended today, every student got 3 points for free.

“....Kamuro-san, where is Amasawa now?”

“Where could she be?” Look, her pet Kamuro-san didn’t quite understand what this girl was suddenly talking about, “Didn’t she sleep all the way back? Besides, kouhai was injured, she was running around at night and during the day, so she must still be in the tent.”

’Unlike you, who wants to torture me!’ But, Kamuro-san knows how to keep her mouth shut quite well.

Arisu Sakayanagi looked at two query records on the tablet.

[Do you want to pay 1 resource point to check the location of Hikigaya Hachiman?]

Yes.

[I would prefer if you didn’t. It will be good for both of our mental health.]

“...You want to play?” Sakayanagi was actually quite experienced with this kind of system that doesn’t give her results, follow her commands, and even talk back very rudely to her.

Just like in Command Tower exam!

For next several minutes, Kamuro-san watched her owner using her petite fingers rapidly, angrily with a huge frown on her cheeks.

Tap! Tap! [Code: 404 Error!]

“I will make you behave. You don’t mess with Sakayanagi Arisu!”

[Ding! System Rebo----Code: 12---

Do you think Hikigaya-kun is cheati---~?! Error Error!]

“What the hell are you doing?”

[Do you want to pay 1 resource point to check the location of Hikigaya Hachiman?]

Yes!

A7 area.

[Do you want to pay 1 material point to check Ichika-desu’s location?]

Option - System Warning ⚠︎!]

“YOU!”

Zrrr!! Bam! Bam!

“Oye, don’t hit your tablet!” Kamuro-san almost stood up, feeling scared that Sakayanagi lost her mind in middle of an exam.

[Ding! System Reboot! Code - 345!

You have successfully bypas----!

[Do you want to pay 1 material point to check Amasawa Ichika’s location?]

Option - Yes or No?!]

“Fufufu~~~~!”

Kamuro-san got chills down her spine, and it’s definitely not because atmosphere outside her tent was being electrocuted.

A7 area.

[Note - System gave you a Warning!]

Most students nowadays are in A7 area, and it is impossible to find out exactly where it is. So, Arisu must have been overthinking it.

’Even though Amasawa was finally released from White room and gained freedom. Even though she was very grateful to Hikigaya-senpai for helping her. But she shouldn’t waste her bright future by becoming a social worker or a tool to support the family. Only a spineless person like Kushida-san and a nice person like Ichinose-san would do such a thing. Unlike me. I must fool them first, and then after matter is settled, I will use both reason and emotion to make Hikigaya-kun realize his mistake deeply and do his job well in the future....fufu~~~~!’

Perhaps because she was thinking of something that made her feel good, Sakayanagi decided to take another nap listening to sound of rain.

“.....” Kamuro-san, who couldn’t go back to her sleep anymore.

Other side.

In order to prevent her from giving up or dropping out due to a very simple mistake, Hachiman sent Amasawa back.

Who stayed in larger two-person tent, Isshiki Iroha is also in there to keep her company.

This is because she is worried that Amasawa is alone and injured. What if something unexpected happens?

So, Isshiki Iroha took the initiative to take care of her.

In other words, girl still wants to hold on to Amasawa’s thighs, and help her to score points and fly.

“You’re back!” Isshiki was still feeling groggy. At about 2 o’clock, Amasawa woke up and went out.

Considering other party’s safety, Isshiki had been trying to stay strong after discovering her.

She took out the tablet. Confirmed immediately. It’s already 5 o’clock.

“Yeah, I went to see Hikigaya-senpai, have a lift talk with him.”

“So early?” Isshiki was a little surprised. What surprised her even more was that Hikigaya-senpai was not in a bad mood at this early hour and was willing to talk to her.

What a great senpai!

“Hikigaya-senpai has a goal in life, which is to be a househusband, so I hope to support him halfway in the future....”

Is that so? Isshiki curled her lips in disdain instantly, because this Hikigaya-senpai is truly spineless.

Because this is her life goal. She also wants to be supported. For the man, an annual income of 10 million is enough.

Morning of eighth day.

6:30 in the morning.

Hikigaya-kun has woken up.

As expected, there was a heavy rainstorm yesterday, but it did not last that long. At around three or four in afternoon, sky began to clear up.

The students’ tablets also received the news that exams would continue today.

In other words, you can’t continue to slack off and you still have to continue to refer to it.

Even if you get one point, it would be good. Of course, another message was also conveyed.

Now that weather has improved, it is also suitable for traveling.

This time, Hikigaya, on one hand, wanted to get some points for his group, but more importantly, he wanted to tell Ayanokoui about Shiba’s plan to knock the person out and run away.

All students were resting yesterday, so why not take advantage of that time to report the news?

It should be unnecessary.

Because of the heavy rain yesterday, Shiba was unable to carry out his plan. In that kind of weather, there was a high probability that boat would capsize if he took people.

Humans are not strong in front of the ocean, you can get drowned and eaten by Kraken no less!

Therefore, there is a possibility that his target person, Ayanokoji, might get into creature’s stomach, so even Shiba would have to think carefully, otherwise he would become a sinner.

Therefore, worse the weather was yesterday, the less likely he would take action.

This way, Hachiman would have time to pass on the information, you can also arrange for other students to contact Ayanokoji.

However, the more he came into contact with White Room students, the more outrageous and dangerous it seemed to Hikigaya-kun, especially since Ayanokoji’s father, who was behind this organization, was a terrifying person.

Therefore, in order to avoid involving other people, he should go and report the news in person.

Just as he opened the tent, he suddenly found a figure standing in front of him, a tall and thin boy.

The other party seemed to be waiting with some hesitation, but remained quiet.

When he saw Hachiman coming out, his face suddenly showed some expression.

“Oh. Hikigaya. I met Little princess Sakayanagi yesterday. Did she tell you what arrangements she would make for me today? She had clearly instructed me and Kamuro-san to protect you together, but after the danger was resolved, I asked you and you said you could act on your own. It’s just a pity that little princess thought I was unilaterally absent from my post. So, she’s very unhappy. But, Hikigaya, you were the one who said that I could act on my own, right? So you can take the responsibility?”

Other party said, then raised his handsome face using an autistic tone, “Otherwise I will be finished....”

This is fart-breather in Class A of the second grade, Masayoshi Hashimoto.

Although he is a member of the Sakayanagi faction, a person who ultimately acts for his own benefit.

However, he didn’t have the chance to betray Sakayanagi for the time being, or rather... betraying her now would almost be suicide.

But he also understood that Princess Sakayanagi was dissatisfied with him, so he was worried that he would be sent away in next withdrawal exam.

So, now feel uneasy.

“…” Hashimoto-kun was quite frank.

And goal is very clear, he hopes to get the help of Hikigaya and explain it to Sakayanagi.

Say something nice to her. But, you forgot a little detail, Hikigaya-kun had never even considered speaking up for Hashimoto.

However, he recalled that Sakayanagi seemed to have said she would arrange for Kamuro-san to come with him when he set out again, and that Hashimoto would continue to work hard for him.

In other words, Sakayanagi actually gave Hashimoto a chance. There’s just no notification yet.

“My relationship with Sakayanagi is not that good. But at a time like this, I think you can ask Kamuro-san. She is Sakayanagi’s right-hand man.”

The reason why Hachiman said this is that he saw a tall girl with long purple hair who had walked out of the tent, washed up, and was ready to set off.

“…..” Kamuro-san. Suddenly her name was called.

“What happened?” She walked over directly, girl was not afraid of Hikigaya Hachiman at all.

She can even stand up straight in front of the other person.

Anyway, Kamuro-san already has some dirt on her, so there is no point for her to struggle.

Moreover, even if she was arranged by Sakayanagi, was just completing her master’s mission. It is not unacceptable to treat it as a task.

“Hashimoto, why haven’t you prepared anything yet?” Kamuro-san said with a bit of dissatisfaction, “You have to go with Hikigaya next.”

The reason she said this was that she didn’t see Hashimoto looking ready for the trip.

“Huh?”

Hashimoto-kun was stunned, “Did you ask me to go, or did Little princess ask me to do it?”

“....This is Sakayanagi’s order.” Kamuro-san became even more powerful after hearing this guy’s afraid tone.

“Fuck! I understand!” Hashimoto-kun finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Since he is still used, it means that he is still valuable. Princess Sakayanagi is no longer angry.

So, Hashimoto finally put his mind at ease and hurried back to his tent to prepare things he needed for the trip.

“…” Ai Morishita. ’But Hashimoto Masayoshi, do you think you can rest assured now? Because Miss Sakayanagi also uses up value of people and then throws them away. Just like Nagumo Miyabi who had selflessly trained our class during the Command Tower exam.’

At this time, Morishita, a classmate with long blue hair, was standing with his hands on counter of the convenience store of Class 2A, and was paying attention to that place and complaining in her heart.

Morishita-san is actually a little envious.

’Because what on earth is Kamuro-san worthy of being noticed by Miss Sakayanagi and having her actions specially arranged for her? Obviously I can be a dog here too. I am one of the few people in class who knows her background. The eldest daughter of Sakayanagi family, and ship that came to the island was also owned by her....If I can get close to you, wouldn’t that be better than graduating from Class A?’

She also hopes to graduate from Class A to build her resume, but it is also important to find a good job in advance.

So, she wanted to seize opportunity that Kamuro-san seem to look down upon.
