COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

After preparing for a while, it was already 6:50.

Hikigaya’s group was ready to set off, and quite a few students had already gathered at starting point.

At 7 o’clock sharp, school will announce first designated area for each group to check in for the day.

Among the four designated areas every day, 3 are regular. Once you reach one, next will be no more than 3 areas away.

So, students are waiting for the direction they will go.

Even if you can’t make it to the first designated area, you can still go to the second one.

But Hachiman and others did not call for help.

Their goal today was to find Ayanokoji and pass on the message.

“Then we’ll be off, Hikigaya-senpai!”

However, when Hachiman and others were gathering, a first-year student greeted them.

There are two first-year students, one is from Class A, a girl with purple twin pigtails, but other too is a devilish girl with short brown hair from Class C.

Amasawa Ichika and Isshiki Iroha.

What a killer combo!

The young male students had a high rate of turning heads because of their cute looks. ’Tsk. When I noticed that one of the cute girls greeted Hikigaya, I quickly looked away with some envy. Because there is probably no one in this school who doesn’t know Vice President Hikigaya....!’

For some of these students, Hikigaya is their bread and butter.

In this exam, they paid a large amount of points to allow them to collect or carry item cards.

This was all free money, so everyone was very grateful to him.

At the same time, some students knew that Vice president and President had a good relationship, so no one was so upset they want to be expelled immediately.

It’s a public matter of Nagumo being ridden off by Horikita Manabu.

Besides, Amasawa’s teammate is actually Yukinoshita. Due to physical reasons, she came out to see us off, but did not say hello!

How rude!

So, she could only watch them go.

It was obviously okay for her not to come and see Hikigaya-senpai off, but she still came.

That’s why, Hachiman actually had a pretty good opinion of her character.

Moreover, perhaps because Yukinoshita stayed behind today, her hairstyle was different from usual.

She actually tied her hair into two black ponytails.

If her jet-black straight hair is like a waterfall, it makes her look like...

Very subtle. But quite cute.

Although Hachiman has always believed Sakayanagi might be the cutest girl in this school, but now look of Yukinoshita-san... also makes people feel that she can be given a high score.

“I hope you can get a few more points today, Isshiki.”

“Hehe! Then I’ll accept Senpai’s good wishes~~!” Isshiki even smiled a bit smugly at her senpai. Then she took Amasawa and set off together.

Faintly, you seemed to hear their conversation.

“Why didn’t you say hello to Hikigaya-senpai just now? Aren’t you paying close attention to him?”

“Well, a normal greeting is meaningless. You have to make him remember you. That’s why I don’t follow the crowd’s way! hehe~~!”

Don’t follow people’s approach. So what do you want to do? How do you want him to remember you?

When mentioning this junior girl Amasawa, Hikigaya-senpai immediately felt overwhelmed.

It was all because of Kushida’s information that she knew about his ambition to not work and be supported by someone.

And it was very unfortunate that other party completely met his requirements, and even exceeded them a little.

Like someone who is perfect and capable of supporting him, but also won’t make him work.

This is destabilizing.

At the same time, other party’s life experience is also sympathetic.

Ichika lacks love and has no family, no place to stay after graduation.

So, for Hachiman, this type of person is really hard to refuse. ’However, if I agree with other party, it will become extremely dangerous. This is my intuition comes from nowhere.’

“Then let’s set off too,” He too had checked Ayanokoji’s location this morning, and it was still E3.

It’s only half a day’s journey from here.

They may also move, after all, they are on an island, and most of students need to start from here.

According to Hachiman’s understanding of Yukimura, who might want to seize the opportunity and use his advantage of being on the island to grab first designated area’s group reward for the day.

However, distance between the two parties is quite far, so if Hachiman and others set out now, it is still possible they will meet on the way.

“Wait a minute!” Just as Hachiman and others took action, someone shouted from behind.

Turned around and immediately saw Ibuki rushing over.

“Why did you leave without informing me?!” Ibuki was carrying a small bag and her cheeks were a little red, obviously girl had come here in a hurry.

“Do you think I’m a burden?” Ibuki seemed to be very serious about this.

This made Hikigaya-kun see the former Suzune for a moment. As for people like Suzune, he is relatively good at dealing with them.

“Today I’m not here to score points. I have to complete a mission. It’s the same reason. This mission is risky, so I’m keeping you here. Otherwise, if we are completely wiped out, then our group, as well as Komiya Shinohara and others, will simply fall into the last five, or even bottom three. And Ibuki, can you take on this responsibility? You have to know that due to withdrawal of Shinohara and Komiya, we now have to shoulder the responsibility of ensuring this group will not be wiped out.”

“.....” These words made Ibuki frown.

“Then go ahead. I’ll stay here at the starting point.”

So, Hachiman giddily took Kamuro-san away with him, a snake following them from behind.

Hashimoto looked back several times and found that Ibuki, who had just been fooled by Hikigaya, actually went back with a bag.

It was obvious that other party was so aggressive when she came. She was tricked into giving the answer with just two sentences.

“Hikigaya, you are really good at manipulating people....” Hashimoto was good at socializing and finding informants, but Hikigaya was better at fooling people than him.

So, he was a little curious and wondered if he could learn from an expert.

“It’s not that I’m controlling people, but Ibuki is a very responsible person,” Hachiman, a natural human observer classily paid attention to a creature with no legs, “In terms of class and team responsibility, she is a very decisive person. Remember the island exam last year?”

Last year’s uninhabited island exam was a disgrace to Class A.

“.....” This made Hashimoto feel uncomfortable.

Because he betrayed the class in that exam and sold out leader to Ryuen, in the end... he thought he would only be deducted 50 points, but in the end he was deducted 150.

So, he is responsible for fall behind of Class A. He was ready to keep this matter to himself.

Therefore, he did not ask for the 1 million yen that Ryuen had been owing.

Lol...

It made Hashimoto feel that boy is taunting him on purpose, seriously hurt the feelings.

But, Hachiman really didn’t mean to hurt a creature with no legs, whom is he very afraid of and hate very much.

“During the island exam last year, Ryuen arranged for Kaneda and Ibuki to use a self-torture tactic, and also went undercover in other classes as spies. Ibuki was beaten badly at that time. You know, when I came to Ryuen’s class and asked Ibuki how much she was paid at that time.”

“How much?” Hashimoto was also a little curious, perhaps it’s not related to him anymore.

To be able to do such a thing, it must cost at least 50... no, 1 million.

“Not a cent. Ibuki said she was contributing to the class. So she didn’t take his money, and even asked why Ryuen had to pay.”

“….” Hashimoto felt even more depressed. ’Is that so? Then your Class D is also pretty strong.’

Hashimoto suddenly remembered that D class that Hikigaya was in now was former Ryuen’s class.

It’s just that you’ve been working with Hikigaya so much lately that people forgot that Ryuen is representative of Class D.

’When did Ryuen’s presence become so weak?’

xxxxx

Ryuen’s presence is not weak, he knows how to rely on people.

“Congratulations to your group for getting 4 points, and you will get an additional 10 points as a bonus for being the first group to arrive,” said a teacher in charge of designated area.

Gained points for Ryuen and others.

His team now ranked seventh.

However, it’s not that people work very hard, but that most students start to run out of energy and choose to slack off.

“Ryuen, we are coming out so brazenly today, don’t we have to worry about Hosen’s attack?” Katsuragi is very cautious.

“Yes, Hosen is only three areas away from us now,” Ishizaki said, observing his own tablet.

“Don’t panic, we have this thing in our hands now? Thank Hikigaya.” Ryuen already knew why he couldn’t gather his classmates the day before yesterday.

Because Komiya and Shinohara from Class C were attacked, Hikigaya went to get people to rescue them.

The result was that fight was called off.

However, school did not announce whether criminal had been caught.

So there is a high possibility that he has not been caught yet.

As an Experienced Delinquent. Ryuen knew that sometimes person caught was not real culprit.

“If Hosen dares to come, he will get blamed for attacking people of my class!” Ryuen’s team has expanded to 6 people.

However, they did not form a team, but arranged for two classmates to follow.

This time, group followed the school’s notice and returned to starting point, where they rested.

However, Ryuen had them act early and arrive at designated area where the exam was interrupted ahead of time.

And today, first designated area really continued from the point where it was interrupted.

So, they took advantage of situation.

Ryuen specially arranged two students to follow, not for the purpose of recruiting more members.

But now fighting is not allowed.

As long as Hosen dares to come and foolishly destroys his bracelet, he will use a self-torture trick and immediately arrange for two men to pretend to be beaten and report Hosen.

“Kaneda, you may suffer again this time.....”

One of the two classmates he brought was Kaneda, who he had arranged to sneak into Ichinose’s class last semester.

“No, no, if it’s for the class, I’m willing to do it. Besides, if Hosen is expelled, we can still receive 2 million points from the first-year Class C because Class D will be at mercy of others in the future. Perhaps as long as they pay a small amount of points, can be driven to cooperate with exam at will. Therefore, if I get beaten again now, it will be worth it! Everything’s for greater good of our class!”

This is Ryuen’s leadership.

Even Katsuragi felt a bit...wow

xxxxx

And just as Hachiman expected, Yukimura and his group indeed moved from E3 area.

Got first designated area score.

The reason he say this is that because he saw their group’s score increased by 12 points.

Hachiman also noticed that Nanase started to move, her and Ayanokoji’s areas were kept one and a half apart.

It seems that she has not yet completed her inner transformation.

Hachiman and others were also fast walkers.

Hikigaya-kun is good at endurance, his teammates Hashimoto and Kamuro-san are both in the sports department, so they walk much faster than average group.

Now two groups of people should be meeting soon.

Only one area is missing. Even Nanase has also begun trying to enter the area where Ayanokoji and others are.

“Speaking of which....”

What Hashimoto likes most is to get information. So he is also trying to get some anything from Hikigaya that he doesn’t usually have.

In fact, as he was hurrying along the way, he felt that he seemed to have figured something out.

’Why would Princess Sakayanagi be angry at my unauthorized actions?’
