COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Don’t do this kind of thing.

Hashimoto had seen how Princess Sakayanagi remained calm even when she dropped Yahiko out of school.

’If I were included in her little notebook, I would be the next one to be expelled from school!’ Hashimoto felt something was wrong instantly.

So is there anything that can be done to remedy this now? Thinking of this, he suddenly looked around.

Then he took out the tablet.

[Do you want to pay 1 resource point to check the location of Hikigaya Hachiman?]

Yes! The tablet immediately found its place.

In A8 area. This is A7 area, very close.

Hashimoto breathed a sigh of relief.

Feeling stable. So, he hurried towards the A8 area.

And that’s why, when Hikigaya’s team was about to arrive, a story about a dog-licker suddenly popped up.

8:30pm.

It started to rain, dripping and pattering. After taking a bath, feel refreshed all over.

Hachiman is drinking milk voraciously. It’s not that he likes milk, but after a shower it feels good.

“Hikigaya-senpai, you seem to be in a good mood,” A girl with short blond hair was talking to Hachiman.

The other party is at checkout counter.

However, she leaned forward slightly on the table and looked over here curiously.

“You seem to be in a good mood today,” Hachiman’s response was like that, while he drank his fill.

“.....” Isshiki felt something was really wrong, “Yeah, although I didn’t get a good score today, I didn’t lose any points because exam was suspended for one day. So, now I’m using the extra time to work here.”

’It seems that she quite likes working. Maybe you can work part-time regularly to give yourself more pocket money.’

“But, Hikigaya-senpai, you guys scared me to death!” Isshiki Iroha continued when he didn’t respond to her like he should, “Amasawa-san was injured so badly. The exam will be suspended for one day tomorrow. And it will also be a day for her to rest.....but is there really anything wrong with her body?” girl seemed a little worried.

“She has a very strong physique, and only her hand was injured, her leg is fine, so she will be able to fly with you again the day after tomorrow,” However, Hikigaya-senpai obviously saw through the junior’s intentions at once, “So don’t worry, you will definitely be in Top ten.”

“Hey...that’s annoying!” Even though Isshiki complained loudly, she was finally satisfied, “But, I’m really worried about her, too. With such injuries, I can’t imagine what kind of enemies she has to face. We are all of the same age, but her experience must be different from ours, and it must have been more difficult.....”

Oh? Hachiman discovered this junior schoolmate was also quite thoughtful.

Nine o’clock in evening.

Hachiman finished drinking the milk and then met Sakayanagi who had also taken a bath.

Arisu is still quite cute, but what is surprising is that she is usually seen wearing white silk suspenders, but now, her legs are smooth and delicate, like a work of sculpture by a very famous artist.

It’s heart-warming.

This is a very rare scene.

But Hikigaya-kun is a gentleman after all, and he never looks sideways.

“The students’ crisis has been temporarily resolved, exam will proceed as normal. So, as Student council president, you don’t need to give advice to chairman for this exam. So, the verbal agreement between you and me is void.”

Naturally, the first topic he wants to clear about is obviously regarding his pocket money, and not giving extra bonus to her.

“....” Sakayanagi remained calm.

In other words, her extra 10% from Hikigaya was blown away.

As eldest daughter of Sakayanagi family, she didn’t care that much about money, but she knew very well how much the man in front of her loved it.

’How stubborn is he to think that you won’t have to work anymore after making cash now? So, just keep silent and make a little note in your heart.’ President Sakayanagi maintained a polite yet elegant smile.

“• •”

”But condition of the person you brought back is a bit serious,” She took the initiative to say to change subject.

Obviously, as Sakayanagi’s puppy, Kamuro-san was kept by the other party, and after returning, she told Sakayanagi the information knew.

And that person specifically refers to Ichika Amasawa.

In fact, it’s not just Kamuro-san who is like this, almost all students in Class A do it regularly.

Most of them are spontaneous actions.

They will tell Sakayanagi information of students from other classes and what they have done, so that girl can judge what is important and what is not.

Although Kamuro-san did the same, she also provided Sakayanagi with very important information, hoping that girl would be cautious and pay attention.

For example, Hikigaya Hachiman has participated in a marathon in past, maybe it was just the kind organized by school, but at least it was a full 40-kilometer marathon.

Therefore, opponent’s endurance is very good.

You, Sakayanagi, are really not worthy of him.

But judging by the way Sakayanagi was deliberately bare-legged, she probably didn’t get it.

But Kamuro-san is not a bad girl.

She would not keep thinking about weird things, so after seeing Hikigaya and Sakayanagi sitting down and talking, she went to rest by herself.

She had been running around all day today and had to go to bed early.

As for Sakayanagi’s situation, there is no hope. She decided not to interfere with her choice.

“Amasawa is one of the white room students that Chairman Tsukishiro arranged to come in. As you can see, the other is Yagami Takuya. But I don’t really trust what the adults say right now, so I can’t be sure if there are any more White Room students among the new ones.”

“Yeah,” Sakayanagi did not deny this, “So, is there anything you need my advice on?” ’Because if he doesn’t have something to do or I don’t give an invitation to have a free dinner, he won’t take the initiative to look for me. Especially at this time, I usually play a game of chess or read for a while, and then go to bed.’

“Amasawa has now reached an agreement with Tsukishiro and can leave her status as a White Room student. But she seems to have no relatives. So now this school is her last hope. She will have to rely on her own efforts to survive in the future. As it stands, I think 30,000 points per month for joining student council could be increased.”

Sakayanagi understood in a glance.

Under normal circumstances, Amasawa is just a discipline committee member, so subsidy girl receives every month is only 30,000 points.

However, if she is a normal student council officer such as an accountant, secretary, or even a clerk, then she will receive a subsidy of 50,000 points.

Hikigaya-kun hopes to increase the subsidy for this junior.

Then it is indeed necessary to get her approval as student council president.

Sakayanagi wasn’t too resistant.

“I told you before that I visited the White Room when I was a kid and saw children training in that facility. Besides seeing Ayanokoji-kun, I also saw the way it destroyed children’s nature and forced them to grow too fast. We were there as a tourist, so what I saw was probably just the relatively normal side. But you can imagine how demanding it is to train an ordinary person into a genius. I hate that institution. So, if Amasawa is willing to leave that place, I will do my best to protect her. As long as she joins my student council, she will be on my side.”

Hachiman was still looking at her, it made Sakayanagi blink twice, realising it’s actually not enough.

Okay...

“If she doesn’t have anywhere else to go in the future, I can also make some arrangements through my family.” In other words, President Sakayanagi is quite generous.

’Even if Amasawa has no food to eat in the future, will Sakayanagi give her a job opportunity? From this perspective, she is truly a kind person.’ Hachiman couldn’t but update his assessment of her.

“Although, that girl has lost her identity as a White Room student, since she can survive in such a place, her strength in all aspects must be many times greater than that of ordinary people. So I believe it will be worth the money. Fufu~~!”

Um....Hikigaya is sure that, as expected, this person is still evil Miss Sakayanagi.

Giving Amasawa an opportunity is because she sees her value and recognizes strength.

But from this perspective, Sakayanagi is actually very lenient towards people she approves of.

This makes Hikigaya-kun feel relieved. ’I thought I had seen Sakayanagi, who was usually defenseless in dormitory, today, and thought she had some ideas or strategies, but now it seems that I was worrying too much....’

“Because of the heavy rain tomorrow, there are nearly 300 students gathered at starting point, but there are still more than 100 students in other areas,” President Sakayanagi got down to business.

“Well then—” Hikigaya-kun also decided to not fool around, “This small island and Cruise ship is your property. So is it normal for there to be a small boat on the ship?”

“A what now?” Sakayanagi blinked softly.

So, Hachiman talked about the small boat with an engine hidden under leaves of a palm tree that he found when he went to H10 area to look for his junior Amasawa.

“It’s not normal. After all, there are so many students on the island. If one can’t swim and uses a small boat like this to take a shortcut, wouldn’t there be an accident?”

“That’s what I understand. So, what’s point of this little boat? You know, this kind of item cannot sail continuously on the sea.....”

“About this,” Sakayanagi provided an important piece of news, ”In addition to arranging students to be on standby and properly handling the store’s affairs, I also arranged for a group of students to conduct a terrain survey. Then, someone reported that a medium-sized speedboat was spotted parked far away from here. Because I bought binoculars, I could see it.....”

Hachiman understood significance of boat hidden in H10 area. ’If you simply use that small boat, you won’t be able to fight the sea. However, if there is someone to support you, then it will be a different story....It is possible to transport people out by placing them on a small boat and then heading to the receiving area. In addition, Amasawa was directly called to the H10 area by Shiba. There is a high probability this is his method. Did Tsukishiro know this? He probably didn’t know, otherwise he wouldn’t have allowed him to attack her directly, and then Amasawa even recorded it as evidence. He’s too cautious to go with such rash actions.’

Thinking like this, he took out his tablet again.

“....” Arisu maintained her composure, even though she felt making him work hard even more in the future, because he seems to be giving his best after taking the job.

Her capitalist mindset is working.
