COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Drop!”

“You have withdrawn 3.5558 million yen, and there is currently 6.99 million yen left on the card.”

“You have paid 3.5558 million, and the remaining balance on your card is...”

The small team members of Ryuen also took out their share one by one.

Hiyori looked at Hikigaya-kun, “Next, we will transfer the required expenses to corresponding students.”

’I should say that people in Ryuen’s class are really nice. I have already received the money, but you got the smallest share....’ This makes Hikigaya-kun feel a little embarrassed.

“I will be responsible for transferring the 6.6 million from 3rd graders,” Because just now when Hachiman was replying to Asahina-senpai’s request for a money transfer, she sent him a private message asking if you could meet in private.

Hachiman did not respond. ’But I always feel that she should have something to say....’

Actually, it is understandable.

Before, Kiriyama hurried to find Hachiman and was even willing to be a dog.

On the one hand, it was because he was used to being forced by Nagumo, and on the other hand, it was because of non-cooperation of Kiryuin.

But there must also be something that made Kiriyama and others nervous.

That is, Class 3A arranged students from Class 3D to cooperate as carriers of prop cards to release a signal.

Class 3A is teaming up with others.

That’s why Kiriyama, who was struggling as a single class, felt uneasy. So he considered becoming a dog in the future.

Asahina-senpai doesn’t seem to be that confident in making this decision.

So, need life conversations.

Hachiman thought about it and felt that since you had more time on ship, could meet.

“Okay.” Hiyori had no objection.

Because Hikigaya-kun is reducing her workload.

“I almost forgot something. Because of the attack, I promised to give 50,000 points to each student who participated in dragnet search. There are 17 students in 2nd-year class A, 20 students in Class B, and 17 boys in our Class. A total of 2.7 million points.”

“Please help me cash out these points as well,” Hachiman said as he prepared to top up points into a card.

So that’s what it is.

Ryuen thought this was reason why he wanted to join a group fight but found that he couldn’t get anyone to provide support.

“I don’t think you can afford this kind of money by yourself,” Ibuki who was an honest person couldn’t accept it.

“I think so too,” Kaneda pushed up his glasses, “After all, it also concerns the students in our class.”

“Let’s divide it equally. The six of us here will bear the responsibility equally,” Ryuen gave everyone a nod.

After everyone divided it equally, each person paid 385,700.

Since everyone got their share and Ryuen tore up IOU, and everyone left Hachiman’s room.

Who is still here on the sofa.

[Name: Hikigaya Hachiman

Class: Grade 1, Class D

Private Points Account: 25,185,400.]

It’s perfect for now.

Adding 120 million from point cards, he collected a total of 145 million. It is a reasonable and satisfying number.

Hikigaya-kun is in a good mood.

So, after putting the point card into file bag, he took off his coat.

Although he spent more time at the departure point in later stages of the exam and was able to take frequent showers, he still had to take a bath when he returned to the ship.

However, when he pushed open door of the bathroom, found some wet marks on the floor.

It looks like it was used not long ago.

There seemed to be a faint scent of rose perfume in the air.

“.....” Hachiman.

’This is a luxury cruise ship, and I am just a student, but room I got is a paid suite usually provided to wealthy guests. So it is possible that it was used by other echelons during fourteen days of absence... No! Because ship was contracted by the school, Sakayanagi family lent it. Then more students kept giving up, so it was impossible to receive guests and allow them to interact with students at same time. So they are not external guests, but staff on ship? But if it’s room service or something like that, quilt wouldn’t be unfolded and left in such a mess. My files are still there and don’t look like they have been used. Maybe it’s just my illusion? No no no. The ground is indeed wet!’

So, Hachiman turned around and left the bathroom, “Is there anyone in this room?”

“…”

Blow! Blow!

“.....” But unfortunately, the only thing that responded to him was air.

Hachiman didn’t stop and went straight to bed that he just felt unnatural about.

The bed was a bit messy. Originally there were two pillows, but now there was only one, and quilt was rolled into a ball.

The way it was rolled and height of the quilt were enough to allow a person who was not very tall to hide in it.

Hachiman became more alert and pressed down the rolled quilt with his left hand.

Empty.

Opened the quilt and it was empty.

No one was under the covers.

There was a pillow inside. It seems that he made a mistake.

Besides, it is possible that room service staff wanted to clean up, but then encountered something and ended up using the bathroom, then forgot to clean up and left.

Hachiman then went back to bathroom and started filling the tub.

But after the water had been running for five or six minutes, he suddenly tiptoed to open the bathroom door and looked outside.

“…”

“….” Silence.

It seems that he was too nervous, thought really someone was hiding in house.

After doing this two or three times and making sure bathtub was full, Hachiman decided not to think about it anymore and just relax himself first.

20 minutes later.

Hikigaya-kun came out, wearing a bathrobe.

Walked to the sofa on side.

Opened the window and put some French fries next to the window.

Immediately, two seagulls with big bellies were attracted and landed next to the window.

He also made himself a cup of hot milk. It feels so good to drink milk after taking a bath.

“Ding ding!”

Hachiman noticed that cell phone on the table had received a message alert.

[Um, Hikigaya-senpai, I know you just finished your exams and you must have been very tired, but can we meet in the evening?] by Nanase Tsubasa.

Hmm.

Previously, he arranged for Kushida to deliberately contact her and then found out about her past.

Considering that she would suffer a mental breakdown, induced her to untie her knot.

However, Nanase’s prognosis has not yet been checked. So, Hachiman thought it was okay to meet her.

[Sure. But it might be a little later. Around 8 or 9 o’clock.] Hachiman started to send messages.

’I’ll go meet Asahina-senpai around 6 or 7, and have lunch at the same time. Eight or nine o’clock is past mealtime, and Nanase probably won’t treat me to a meal then, we can avoid the embarrassment. So it was the perfect arrangement.....’

Hachiman continued typing.

“So Hikigaya-senpai cares so much about Nanase-san,” He obviously noticed a voice from behind him.

“…” ???

(⊙o⊙)!

Hikigaya-kun looked back in surprise.

Because someone suddenly stood behind him.

The other person was wearing the usual student uniform, a shirt and a short skirt.

However, her shirt is different from the white shirt worn by other students. It is orange in color, which makes her look smart and cute.

He saw some people in Karuizawa’s small team wearing the same clothes, so he asked her about it.

Karuizawa said these were substitutes for the uniforms and got sold in the shopping street.

As long as you paid points, you could buy school shirts of different colors.

From this perspective, Ryuen’s black shirt might also be accepted.

“Amasawa Ichika! Why are you here?!”

Hachiman subconsciously looked at door on the side. It was closed, and he didn’t hear sound of opening just now.

“That’s annoying. I’m here to give you a surprise. But my senpai brought a group of people here, and I was embarrassed to come out. hehe~!”

’Is that so? I believe you to be a ghost! Her statement is very strange.’

“So you were the one who messed up my quilt, and you were also the one who used the bathroom?”

“Yeah,” Ichika nodded in a carefree attitude, pretending to be dumb.

“So where have you been before?” Hachiman thought he had encountered a supernatural story, but it turned out to be a reassuring thought...bullshit. ’Because what are you, a junior, doing suddenly in room of a senior of the opposite sex, who is older than you?!’

“I was in the closet. I originally wanted Senpai to open his locker, and then I would come out. It’s just he clearly noticed something was wrong, but he didn’t look for it everywhere.”

Is that so? You still want to play hide and seek?

“Then why do you make quilt like that?” Hachiman’s room was invaded more than once. The last time, someone sat on his bed.

Then, after Hachiman sent Sakayanagi back, he found that quilt seemed to have some faint scent of her left on it.

In other words, other party probably got tired of waiting and just borrowed the bed.

Although Ichika Amasawa rolled up the quilt like that, Hachiman didn’t smell anything.

Rather, she smells pretty good right now. If you use his bed, there will be a smell on it.

“It’s psychology. I deliberately created a conspicuous scene to gain your attention. Then after you confirm repeatedly and find that you can’t find me, I will give you a surprise.”

Is that so? Then you understand it very well.

Hachiman remembered this schoolgirl did say that she knew a little about psychology and could show it to Kushida.

But Hachiman thought that if she showed her, then Kushida would be completely tamed by her.

When it comes to Kushida-chan, his potential marriage candidate, Hikigaya-kun feels a bit overwhelmed.

That is to say. Is she the one?

“Senpai is thinking of other girls, how rude....” Ichika seemed to have read his thoughts, and pouted with an envious look.

“.....” Hachiman was sweating, felt that it was a little difficult to say now, “I think I may not be able to agree to repayment you mentioned in the tent before.....”

“Really? But I’m very cheap. I’m a student in Class A. If nothing unexpected happens, I will definitely graduate from Class A, and this will save me money compared to what Hikigaya-senpai wants to do as a househusband. Because if you choose Kushida-senpai, but if she doesn’t spend money in the end, she won’t be able to graduate with Class A. And if she can’t do it, won’t be able to find a high-paying job in the future. How are you going to support Hikigaya-senpai then? So if you choose Kushida-senpai, you have to pay these 20 million points. But.....”

Girl seemed to be thinking out loud, and talking to herself. Moving very slowly towards his direction.

Hachiman unconsciously took a step back.

“Choosing me doesn’t require 20 million.”

Ichika Amasawa has a miserable life experience, but she is extremely strong.

She doesn’t even need 20 million points to upgrade her class. Therefore, among Hikigaya’s two marriage candidates, junior is also very competitive.
