Berserk God of War

Chapter 284: Chapter 284: Golden Dragon Mountain Path

Tao Huai and the others also lifted their heads and puffed out their chests, sneering continuously.

”My cousin Tao Xie was just one step away from becoming an official student in the Martial Combat Test, and this new apprentice who dares to refuse me definitely isn’t, otherwise, my cousin would surely recognize him,” they thought.

In other words, this new apprentice recognized Tao Xie, but Tao Xie did not recognize him.

During the Martial Combat Test, this apprentice who refused them must have looked up to Tao Xie with an expression of utmost envy.

Seeing Sikong Jing remain silent, Tao Huai maliciously taunted him.

”Not daring to? Well, let me make a bet with you. If you win against my cousin Tao Xie, I’ll give you 500 pieces of Light Crystal, how about that?”

He didn’t believe that this poor wretch who joined the Da He Association wouldn’t be tempted by Light Crystal.

Sikong Jing finally came to his senses and then asked Xu He, ”If I win, how many points do I get?”

The Combat Hall was divided into the combat area and the War Puppet Area...

Completing standard tasks against battle puppets would earn five points, but Sikong Jing did not yet know how many points winning a combat would yield.

Xu He quickly replied, ”That depends on the levels of the apprentices in the duel. If a Level 1 Apprentice wins against another Level 1, they can get five points; but if they win against a Level 9 Apprentice, they can earn 80 times that, which is 400 points.”

Sikong Jing understood at once that in the Combat Hall each level up meant ten times the points.

With this in mind, he turned to Tao Xie and said, ”Not enough points, I won’t fight.”

The two medicines I want require twenty million points.

What a waste of time it would be to fight a Level 1 apprentice, wouldn’t it?

Even fighting a Level 9 apprentice, who knows how long it would take to reach twenty million points. It would be better to challenge the Xingluo Palace students.

Having said that, Sikong Jing ignored the Tao brothers and spoke again, ”Senior Brother Xu, Senior Sister Ge, let’s go.”

But just as Sikong Jing was about to step past them, Tao Huai suddenly gestured with his hands to everyone, saying, ”Surround them.”

With a rustling sound, the crowd encircled Sikong Jing and his two companions.

Tao Huai said viciously, ”Quit with the excuses, if it’s not enough points for you to fight, then just say you’re scared.”

At this point, Tao Huai suddenly stepped on a chair, pointed at the hole under him, and said, ”You don’t have to fight, just crawl through underneath here, and I’ll let you off for now.”

”Ha ha, crawl through now!” Tao Huai’s subordinates laughed heartily.

However, Xu He and Ge Rong showed no signs of fear and just stared at Tao Huai as if he were a dead man.

This guy must be so out of the loop to not know about what happened earlier in the Task Hall.

Sikong Jing shook his head and sighed, ”I really hate trouble...”

Having said that, he struck out... Bang.

He punched Tao Huai hard in the face, causing the latter to let out a pig-like scream.

Then, Sikong Jing darted out, bang, bang, bang, knocking all the people, including Tao Xie, to the ground.

In an instant, the Task Hall was filled with people rolling on the floor, wailing in misery!

”Too bad if you hit someone outside of the Combat Hall, you don’t get any points.”

Sikong Jing sighed and then led the way out of the Task Hall, not even glancing back.

Xu He and Ge Rong followed close behind, letting out satisfied laughter.

So refreshing!

Inside the Task Hall, the screams continued, and some onlookers came over, staring pityingly at Tao Huai.

”The guy you’re trying to take on just beat up an official student.”

”Exactly, and the official student couldn’t even defeat him; you guys foolishly came to challenge him.”

”Combat Hall, are you guys dumb or what?”

Hearing the onlookers’ comments, Tao Huai was stunned, so was Tao Xie. The new apprentice could beat an official student?

How is that possible? It has to be fake, right?

What followed were various angry curses from Tao Huai’s subordinates.

”What’s going on? How come he’s not an official student?”

”Are the mentors blind? Letting someone like this pretend to be a Level 1 apprentice, playing the pig to eat the tiger here?”

”Damn it! He doesn’t want to become an official student, he’s just pretending to be an apprentice to bully people.”

Tao Xie’s face turned red with anger, cursing inwardly nonstop. He had never seen this person in the Martial Combat Test, so it was obvious that he must have intentionally failed the test after getting through the previous assessment instructions.

Damn it, I must have been mocked by him just now.

”Oh, there’s a new task posted.”

The onlookers commented for a bit, then stopped paying attention to these unlucky fellows.

Suddenly, they saw a new line of text on the Light Crystal Task List: Acquisition of Multi-bone Beast blood and Thousand Cold Red Lotus flower core, tentatively 800,000 points, with further negotiations to discuss rewards.

”800,000 points and they think they can acquire these two rare Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures? What a joke!”

”Who posted this task?”

”Didn’t you see the words ’to be negotiated’? It means the person can only offer 800,000 points for now, there must be additional rewards later on, maybe something like 100,000 Ming King Crystals.”

The crowd suddenly realized the implication, but then shook their heads and lost interest, as such Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures were not something they could obtain.

And merely 800,000 points wasn’t enough to make much of an impact, so they looked and then didn’t care anymore.

Meanwhile, Sikong Jing and Xu He arrived at the Da He Association.

And because of joining Da He Association, the room assigned to Sikong Jing was also located in the corner of the Apprentice Institute Region where the association was based.

After briefly organizing his room, Sikong Jing said to Xu He, ”Senior Brother Xu, I won’t meet with the brothers from the Da He Association for the time being. I have other matters to attend to.”

Xu He had hoped to formally introduce Sikong Jing to the apprentices of the Da He Association, but Sikong Jing had temporarily declined.

Now, he really had no time to waste on these things.

Then Sikong Jing asked, ”I need to get to Golden Dragon Mountain, how should I go about it?”

The last time he went to Golden Dragon Mountain, he was brought there by riding a dragon with Qin Heng, so Sikong Jing was not sure which path to take and needed guidance.

Xu He, originally looking regretful, widened his eyes in surprise and asked, ”You want to go to Golden Dragon Mountain?”

”Yes, I have some business there, and I might not come down for a while.”

Sikong Jing nodded, the two medicines that Su Yuexi needed were indeed very expensive, and he must find a way to earn more points as soon as possible. The Martial Dragon Palace on Golden Dragon Mountain was his target.

Last time, it was in the Martial Dragon Palace that he tested his martial arts wisdom and fully improved the Fire Bone Dragon Spear.

In the Martial Dragon Palace, there were also huge pillars, each carved with various kinds of Demon Dragons for him to study and understand, and each pillar corresponded to Demon Dragon Knight Battle Skills.

Sikong Jing planned to stay there for a while to see what he could learn.

”Gurgle...”

Xu He couldn’t help but swallow, in awe that Sikong Jing could actually ascend Golden Dragon Mountain directly; that was pretty impressive.

It must be Senior Sister Yu Yan who had granted him some benefits or compensation.

Letting go of the meeting with the brothers of the Da He Association, Xu He personally led Sikong Jing to the entrance of Golden Dragon Mountain and pointing at the mountain path said, ”This is the Golden Dragon Mountain Path, Brother Sikong, if you have business, you better hurry up.”

Looking at the long mountain path ahead, Sikong Jing nodded to Xu He and stepped onto it.

But no sooner had he taken the first step, there was a ... boom!

Terrifying pressure suddenly bore down from deep within the mountain path like gusts of wild wind howling.

Sikong Jing was stunned for a moment, then turned to look back at Xu He, full of question marks.

At the same time, Xu He turned pale and hesitantly asked, ”Brother Sikong, don’t you have a token that grants you entry into Golden Dragon Mountain?”
