253: Chapter 253: Up to No Good, Struck by Lightning?

At this moment, Yao Changgeng hesitated and asked, “Palace Master, could the demon dragon have been deliberately sent by the Holy Dragon Academy?”

Everyone’s heart turned cold.

The reason the Holy Dragon Academy was named so was precisely because of its exceedingly good relations with a certain demon dragon clan.

If Little Ling Wugen was dispatched by the Holy Dragon Academy, everything would make sense.

Detonating the Fire Bone Battle Dragon and summoning a terrifying demon dragon…

He could very well be a pawn in Holy Dragon Academy’s conspiracy.

“No…”

However, Yu Wenxiong shook his head vehemently and said, “The demon dragon clans close to the Holy Dragon Academy are not that strong.”

Everyone understood, indeed it was so; otherwise, their Xingluo Academy would have been finished long ago.

“Still, it’s not impossible.

We need to check the origin of this Little Ling Wugen,” Yu Wenxiong changed his tone and said.

No sooner had he spoken than a middle-aged man in the distance raised his hand cautiously and said, “Palace Master, I know.”

Immediately, everyone turned their attention to this man…

“I come from the Eagle Small Domain, and my son was the one killed by Sikong Jing,” the middle-aged man quickly narrated…

Turns out, he was a father accompanying his son who had come to participate in the Martial Combat Test from the Eagle Domain but his son had been killed by Sikong Jing in a previous courtyard.

Naturally, he harbored deep hatred towards Sikong Jing and was also crystal clear about Sikong Jing’s background.

After listening to the man’s account, Yu Wenxiong and the others looked at each other in dismay.

It turned out that it really wasn’t someone sent by Long Night Saint Dragon Palace; Little Ling Wugen had just arrived in Long Night Imperial City from Canglong Small Domain.

In the Long Night Empire, he had stayed for less than five days.

“Doesn’t that mean he was the one who triggered the Fire Bone Battle Dragon himself?” Bai Changwu stammered.

At that moment, Master Wang said, “I remember someone from the Canglong Small Domain participated in the first-round test.

I will go find him.”

Soon, he found the person from the Canglong Small Domain in the hostel below Xingluo Palace.

This person was a Xia Country man eliminated from the Long Night Black Burning Army and naturally knew all about Sikong Jing, even how his Dantian was destroyed…

But no matter how much the man talked on and on, Sikong Jing was just a nobody from the Canglong Small Domain without any background.

And the recommendation letter he held was also mentioned by Xia Dalian; he had obtained it from Ning Jingjing.

Ning Jingjing was just a Little General in the 99th Legion of the Long Night Black Burning Army.

But having a recommendation letter was not strange.

Xingluo Palace issued many each year, and it was not difficult for a Little General to get one.

At this time, Bai Changwu murmured, “It seems his Tenth-grade Full Martial Wisdom is real.

Comprehending the Black Vortex Fist, understanding the power of the Fire Bone Battle Dragon from its seven footprints, and hence triggering it.”

As he spoke, Bai Changwu suddenly felt some regret.

Had he known this would happen, he would not have forced him.

“There’s nothing to regret.

Even if Ling Wugen surpasses Tenth-grade Full Martial Wisdom, he’s still nothing but a piece of dog feces,” Yu Wenxiong said coldly, still looking down on Sikong Jing.

After speaking, he gave a cold glance over the crowd: “Starting now, Long Night Star Palace is under lockdown.

Everyone is permitted to enter but not leave.”

As soon as these words came out, everyone present was greatly shaken.

“What happened today must not be disclosed, or else your whole family will be killed.”

If Sikong Jing had been sent by the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, it would have been fine.

But now it had been proven otherwise.

If the news got out, not only would the Holy Dragon Academy ridicule them, but the entire Long Night Empire and even the East Plain Northern Land would laugh at them.

They couldn’t afford to lose face over being bested by Ling Wugen and having half of the Xingluo Palace destroyed, especially when they had forcibly brought it upon themselves…

Yu Wenxiong couldn’t afford to lose this face.

“Furthermore, regarding Ling Wugen Sikong Jing, if an ordinary student kills him, they will immediately become an Inner Palace Student.”

“If an Inner Palace student kills him, they can make any request to me.”

As soon as the voice fell, the whole place was in an uproar.

“All those who are taking the Martial Combat Test, there is no need for them to test any further, none may leave, you’ll all stay in the Xingluo Palace!”

After Yu Wenxiong had finished speaking, he stared intently at the ground where the Golden Divine Dragon’s claw mark had struck, his mouth twitching madly, this claw mark was something even the people from the headquarters of the Xingluo Academy couldn’t erase!

It was the disgrace that Sikong Jing had brought to him, a disgrace that could never be washed away in a lifetime.

However, he couldn’t personally kill Sikong Jing, because the terrifying demon Dragon had left its mark on this boy, and all the old-timers couldn’t touch him, only the students could take action.

Just like that, Yu Wenxiong took down the Xingluo Formation and was about to go back to the hall to adjust his state of mind.

But at that moment, a strange voice sounded.

“Eh, what has happened to the Long Night Star Palace?

Did you commit so many evils that you got struck by lightning?”

Upon hearing this, the people present felt chills run down their spines, and Yu Wenxiong’s killing intent surged.

Then everyone saw a drunken figure, it was none other than Drunk Dragon Tan Yue.

He had actually come again, and he had seen everything.

At that moment, Drunk Dragon Tan Yue was also completely befuddled.

He had been drinking outside the Xingluo Palace when the Xingluo Formation suddenly activated, and so out of sheer curiosity, as soon as the formation disappeared, he immediately dashed inside, only to be utterly astonished.

Suddenly, his gaze fell on the deep claw mark, and he charged over.

Tan Yue then asked in shock, “This, this, this…

It carries the aura of an Ancient Demon Dragon, could it be that an Ancient Demon Dragon did this to you?

Yu Wenxiong, quickly tell me what happened?”

As a powerhouse of the Holy Dragon Palace, he naturally had more knowledge about the aura of demon Dragons than those in the Xingluo Palace did.

“Hurry and tell me, where is the demon Dragon?

Where is the Ancient Demon Dragon?” asked Tan Yue excitedly.

Similarly, because they were from the Holy Dragon Palace, they held great reverence for demon Dragons and the like, always seeking to ally with any powerful demon Dragons that appeared.

The situation at hand was clearly the work of a terrifying demon Dragon they had never before encountered.

“Kill him!” But the response Tan Yue received was the crazed voice of Yu Wenxiong, and one by one, powerful figures launched an attack on him.

“Damn it…”

Tan Yue turned to run, shouting, “I just wanted to know what happened, is there really a need for this?”

“Chase, silence him,” Yu Wenxiong ordered, leading the pursuit as over a hundred powerful figures from the Xingluo Palace chased after him, exiting the Xingluo Palace and storming out of the Long Night Imperial City.

Tan Yue let out continuous ghostly screams, “Are you all sick or something?

I was just curious.”

In the midst of the pursuit, the Xingluo Palace fully confirmed that Tan Yue had absolutely nothing to do with Sikong Jing.

…

The Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, located to the north of the Long Night Imperial City, even with the rapid pace of the Black Steed, would take half a day to reach from Xingluo Palace.

These two days were also when the Holy Dragon Palace was recruiting students, naturally resulting in competition between the two palaces for recruits.

Meanwhile, the Holy Dragon Palace’s Martial Combat Test was also in full swing.

But they weren’t fighting in a ring, instead, they entered the mountains to slay demon beasts and compete, which was even crueler than arena fighting.

While the Xingluo Palace was based on plains, with its architecture and layout more noble and elegant,

The Holy Dragon Palace, however, was situated amidst the Long Night Seven Dragon Mountain, each mountain home to terrifying demon beasts, with danger lurking around every corner.

Therefore, the number of students at the Holy Dragon Palace always tended to be fewer than that of the Xingluo Palace.

Because of the difficulty and increased danger of their entrance exams.

At the moment, the one overseeing the students’ Martial Combat Test was the Vice Palace Master of the Holy Dragon Palace, named Qin Heng.

“Vice Palace Master Qin, Institute Master Tan of Drunk Dragon Mountain has drunkenly recruited people again,” a hurried instructor came running over and called out loudly.

Qin Heng, upon hearing this, froze, rubbed his aching head, and asked, “Who has he recruited this time?

Old people, children, or courtesans?”

It was evident that Drunk Dragon Tan Yue had a history of indiscriminate recruitment.
