Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2263: Various announcements

The news quickly spread throughout the entire cosmic races of the universe, and the Su Clan naturally expressed fierce opposition, with a level of toughness that was unprecedented.

Even Yaohan Su directly released a video of his own speech to refute the Huoʼer Star peopleʼs statement.

He said that the sacrifice of the peak experts was indeed a loss to the cosmic races of the universe, and the Su Clan, including themselves, did have an obligation to cooperate with the heavily stricken Huoʼer Star people in the investigation.

But this did not mean that the Huoʼer Star people, as one of the leaders of the cosmic races of the universe, could do whatever they wanted, relying on suspicion rather than evidence.

The Su Clan personnel who had participated in the planet hunting ground would only undergo an investigation in outer space around that planet, limited to one session lasting no more than three cosmic days, and during the investigation, Su Clan reinforcements must be present.

The small-race alliance of Dark Strip City, as the Su Clanʼs allies in this operation, would likewise be protected by the Su Clan, and they would be treated the same as the Su Clan themselves.

Moreover, Yaohan Su directly invited the Reina Star people to join the investigation, forming a joint investigative panel together with the Su Clan and the Huoʼer Star people, to jointly seek the truth of the matter.

The Su Clanʼs unequivocal stance this time left other races astonished and made them all sense something unusual.

The Su Clan had been relatively active recently, but they had never gone against other supermajor races; they had always traded and cooperated with every race. What had happened now?

Could it be that they really had killed the peak experts?
Many entertained this suspicion, but it was quickly dismissed, because the Su Clan truly did not have that capability. Although they were a supermajor race, they did not have a single peak expert; at least not publicly. They could not possibly have killed Kunzuo, let alone wiped out the entire Huoʼer Star force.

Moreover, of the three elders they had sent to the planet hunting ground, their strongest one had died in battle, one was severely wounded and unconscious, and one had only minor injuries. They too had paid a heavy price, and had even failed to hold their base, which had been fortified with several of the Ten Great Formations and the Kepaisi Sky Cover, ultimately having to break out and retreat.

So the prevailing opinion now was that this planet hunting ground was indeed dangerous, and the stronger the race that entered, the more likely they were to be attacked by native lifeforms. For example, the Huoʼer Star people and the Reina Star people both had peak experts, and both had been attacked. Fortunately, it was said that the Reina Star peopleʼs peak expert had led their prince and the guard contingent away from the camp and then met misfortune, so their base had not been implicated. The Huoʼer Star people, on the other hand, had been unlucky; they had been completely wiped out.

Such thinking was not strange, and it also carried a hint of dissatisfaction with the supermajor races.

Oh, so when it came time to choose where the planet hunting ground would be, you decision-makers kept it secret, and then announced it to us directly. Now, after suffering heavy losses in a place you yourselves chose, you start making demands? That doesnʼt make sense!

Didnʼt you know back then that there were peak-expert-level lifeforms on the planet? And more than one? Didnʼt you know it was so mysterious that even the Slave Race had left midway? When you chose that place, wasnʼt it because you wanted to use your superior strength to gain more benefits? Now that youʼve burned yourselves, you want to investigate this and that?

In the face of the Su Clanʼs toughness, and with a massive fleet of over a hundred thousand personnel ready to depart in just half a day, the Huoʼer Star people, after several hours of silence, responded with another suffocating declaration.

They said that the Su Clan must unconditionally agree to their previous demands, because the Su Clan and the Star-Eye Clan had the motive to attack the Huoʼer Star people. If the Su Clan took extreme actions to resist the Huoʼer Star peopleʼs decision, then the Huoʼer Star people would regard such actions as a dangerous signal and automatically activate war readiness, with all consequences borne by the Su Clan.

A single document made everyone smell war.

Many media outlets, in order to grab attention, even ran headlines like ”War Is Coming!”, ”Redrawing the Power Structure of the Cosmic Races?”, ”Chaotic Times Have Arrived!” and so on.

In this moment when storm clouds were already gathering at sea, Yaohan Su displayed extreme firmness. This time, he did not even release a video, but directly bought advertising space from almost all major media outlets across the myriad races, printing in the most prominent positions, in the largest and most eye-catching font, a single sentence:

”The Su Clan is no longer the Su Clan of old.”

This was almost equivalent to telling the Huoʼer Star people: donʼt try to intimidate me. Iʼm not afraid. If you want to do something, just bring it on.

If before, the cosmic races had thought there was still some restraint between the two sides, now the clash between them was as direct as it could possibly be. If things went badly, it really could spark war and chaos.

Many races began to prepare quietly, not necessarily to take sides, but for their own survival.

In collisions between supermajor races, it was often the other races that ended up suffering and perishing while the big players came out relatively unscathed.

The Huoʼer Star people and the Su Clan were at daggers drawn within a single day; the situation had developed with breathtaking speed.

In response to the Su Clanʼs attitude, the Huoʼer Star people said nothing this time, but answered with action: they began large-scale troop movements and issued a mobilization order within their clan, with their target clearly aimed at the Su Clan.

And the Su Clan, unwilling to be outdone, likewise began rallying their forces, standing in direct opposition to the Huoʼer Star people.

While these two supermajor races—the leading powers of their respective blocs—assumed a posture of decisive battle, the Reina Star people remained strikingly silent, showing none of the reaction one would expect from having also lost a peak expert. They were more like bystanders eating popcorn.

Everyoneʼs attention turned to them, speculating about where their stance would fall.

The Reina Star people were a decisive force; whichever side they stood on would gain an overwhelming advantage, and this standoff across the void would essentially have its outcome determined.

But just as everyone was waiting for the Reina Star people to make a decision, a race that no one had expected raised its own voice!

”The cosmic races of the universe have united to fight against the Slave Race; this is the most basic rule of the alliance. On this foundation, all should abide by the Universal Races Law, which our forebears established and have been continuously refining. No one should be treated as special. Before the law, every race should be equal. Therefore, when it comes to judging a matter, one cannot rely on conjecture; one must respect the facts.”

This statement was a public declaration issued by the Sheke Star people. As soon as it was released, the entire cosmic race of the universe erupted in uproar!

The Sheke Star people! This was a core member of the Huoʼer Star peopleʼs camp! The very race that Prince Zimu had been set to marry into!

What did their statement mean? What did ”cannot rely on conjecture, one must respect the facts” mean? Wasnʼt that essentially saying that the Huoʼer Star people could not do whatever they wanted just because they had suspicions!

This supermajor race was... standing on the Su Clanʼs side?
