Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2240: Various intentions

It was certain that Kunzuo had not fully recovered, but he was still a peak expert after all. With that single wave of his hand, a sweeping wave of energy pressed down toward Delma.

By now, everyone understood one thing: no matter what they were going to do, they had to do it thoroughly, because there would not be a better opportunity. A closed space like the Planet Hunting Ground was most suited to this kind of situation.

Was Delma powerful? That depended on who he was compared to. Compared to his peers, he was indeed very strong, even ranking among the top few. He was half a generation ahead of Jie Su, Yisewei, White Robe, and the others, having already entered the great expert realm a few years earlier.

However, even if he was a great expert, he could not withstand a single strike from a peak expert.

So, facing this overwhelming pressure, Kirsailting, who stood beside Delma, immediately stepped forward. He raised one hand, and a hazy mass of energy shot out from his palm to meet the attack.

The two energies collided midair. There was no sound, but the surrounding space twisted, and then energy ripples spread outward. Ye Zhongming and the others nearby involuntarily stepped back.

Even the residual waves were something they could not withstand head-on.

This was a gap in level, one that equipment or skills could not make up for.

”Iʼve long heard of your Light Sound ability. Today, I will see it for myself.”

Kunzuo held both hands out horizontally to his sides, energy swirling around them and quickly forming two energy orbs. Then he descended from the sky and charged at Kirsailting on the ground. The latter showed no sign of weakness, with flowing colors flickering in his eyes. He lightly stamped one foot on the ground, and at a certain moment, he shot upward and engaged Kunzuo in battle.
By then, the situation of the battle between the Huoʼer Star people, the Su Clan, and the minor race alliance had already changed. The two sides that had been fighting gradually stopped in some places, while in other areas, the fighting suddenly intensified. Some people came under attack; those who had been hidden among them were stirring up trouble.

Many Huoʼer Star or Su Clan warriors were confused, not understanding why their commanders had called a halt to what they had thought would be a fight to the death.

Although Kunzuo, Jie Su, Ye Zhongming, and the others had already seen through Delmaʼs scheme to make both sides destroy each other, and had met to agree on subsequent actions, they had not informed their subordinates. If the fighting had been too fake, Delma and his people would have immediately noticed something was wrong. Although they had not brought many people here, they could still have escaped without issue, and would never have ended up in this encirclement.

Of course, this meant people on both sides would die, but everyone believed it was worth it.

Since Ming Qi and Jie Su had both gone to participate in the attack on Prince Delma, the Su Clanʼs commander now was Elder Luozhi Su. Although he had been friendly with the Reina Star people and had done something that angered Jie Su earlier, he now had no choice but to act as commander and direct the elimination of Delmaʼs elite force, the Crown Guard Regiment.

He knew that after this, if the Reina Star people did not find out, it would be fine. But if they did... well, it would not matter much to him personally. The reason he had been able to befriend some Reina Star people was that he was an elder of the Su Clan. Once he returned and was no longer an elder, he would lose the basis for that friendship. Whether the relationship between the two races was good or bad would have little to do with him.

From that perspective, Luozhi Su also had to get this job done well.

There was another thing he understood: these young people led by Jie Su were truly bold and truly ruthless. The still-warm corpse of Chongken Su was a prime example. If he had any other ideas at this moment, Luozhi Su felt that these guys really dared to kill him directly.

The commander on the minor race alliance side was Cheng Liujin. Since White Robe had become a great expert, the Star-Eye Clan had become the undisputed leader of the minor race alliance. There was no longer any joint leadership. No matter what the matter, the Star-Eye Clan had the final say.

As for the two Star-Eye Clan elders, no one knew where they were. But when needed, their blade flashes would certainly be seen.

Due to their numerical advantage, the elimination of the Crown Guard Regiment members hidden among them was quickly completed.

”According to intelligence, Delmaʼs Crown Guard Regiment has over five thousand people. So... there are only five hundred corpses here. Where are the others?”

Cheng Liujin scanned the scene twice and roughly arrived at that number.

He was speaking to Luozhi Su. The Star-Eye Clan was now bursting with confidence, and even when facing the Su Clan, they showed no timidity.

”You mean...” Luozhi Su narrowed his eyes, then said, ”Weʼll have to trouble you to scout the surrounding area. The Su Clan people are not suited to this kind of work.”

Cheng Liujin nodded.

Delma would certainly entrust such a dishonorable task to his trusted subordinates, and the Crown Guard Regiment were exactly that. So it was unlikely that only a few hundred had come. Their main force must have come and must be nearby.

What Luozhi Su and the others now had to do was to find the remaining Crown Guard Regiment members. First, they could not let them rescue Delma. Second, they could not let a single one escape; otherwise, the matter would be exposed.

Cheng Liujin immediately issued orders. Over ten thousand warriors from the minor races set out to scout the surrounding area, while the others rested where they were, waiting for definite news before moving out.

Luozhi Su, Cheng Liujin, and the others stood together watching the distant battle. But they had not been watching long before word came that the Crown Guard Regiment had been found. The number suggested it should be all the remaining troops, and they were rushing toward the battlefield at high speed, presumably coming to rescue their master.

With a regretful shake of their heads, Luozhi Su and Cheng Liujin set out with their people. They would not be able to witness the entire duel between the peak experts.

Kunzuo was in poor condition, and Kirsailting was slightly inferior in strength. The two fought fiercely in the air, and the surrounding area had become a no-manʼs-land, with no living being daring to approach.

But the situation below was somewhat one-sided.

It was true that Delma was a great expert, and it was also true that he had another great expert bodyguard by his side. But that was all.

Yet who was he facing? Jie Su, White Robe, White Dragon Horse, and several of the Huoʼer Star peopleʼs great experts.

Although there were still some guards around him, Ye Zhongming and the others were no pushovers either.

So, from the moment Kirsailting was tied down by Kunzuo, Delma and his people had fallen into a battle for survival. People on their side kept dying. If not for Jie Suʼs inability to reveal his accompanying formation, Delma would probably have already given out.

Just when victory was in sight, the several Huoʼer Star great experts suddenly slacked off a little. They showed up but did not put in full effort. This gave Delma and his sole great expert guard, the only ones left alive among the Reina Star people, a chance to catch their breath.

Ye Zhongming and Jie Su exchanged a glance, cold smiles appearing on their faces.

So, everyone indeed had their own hidden agendas.

Then, the two of them suddenly moved together toward Delma.
