Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2252: Sending you on your way

Kirsailting and Delmaʼs bodies were sent flying, and Lady Star and Lord Eyeʼs bodies were also sent flying.

Among those energy snowflakes, aside from them, every other object was blasted to pieces.

The entire battlefield came to a halt; truly a halt.

Before this, no one would have imagined that two people who were not even great experts could intercept a peak expert. But the facts proved that not only had the two stopped him, they had also used this opportunity to break through their bottlenecks and enter the next realm.

Such a spectacle was truly a sight seen only once in a lifetime.

Kirsailting stood up, his entire body in utter disarray, even more so than when he had faced Kunzuo just moments ago.

Those energy snowflakes, empowered by the phenomenonʼs energy, had exploded with unimaginable power.

Already severely wounded, he was now even more injured; it was a miracle he was still alive.

His body was now swaying slightly.

He glanced at Delma. Under his protection, the prince had not sustained major problems—some injuries, yes, but nothing fatal, and he could even still maintain a certain degree of combat effectiveness.
The Reina Star peak expertʼs eyes suddenly burst with an intense light.

No matter what, he had to get Delma out of here today!

His hands, now missing fingers, landed on Delmaʼs body. The next moment, he would summon his remaining strength and send the prince away.

”You... have you forgotten about me?”

A figure suddenly descended in front of Kirsailting. Kunzuo spoke with a cold smile.

Those several Half-Life Worms were indeed troublesome, as could be seen from the wounds now on Kunzuoʼs body. But given a little time, even ten Half-Life Worms could be dealt with by a peak expert, for their weaknesses were too obvious.

Normally, the brief delay caused by Kirsailtingʼs Half-Life Worms would have been enough for him and Delma to put sufficient distance between themselves and their pursuers. The Half-Life Worms would be lost, but their lives would be saved.

But who could have imagined that two insignificant figures, usually regarded as little more than ants in their eyes, would choose such a critical moment to successfully advance to great experts and stop them?

Kunzuo did not use the Fallen Saint Bow; that thing consumed far too much energy. Instead, he took out the weapon that had made him famous in his youth: a spiked skull whip, and lashed it toward Kirsailting.

The whip transformed in midair into individual skulls, which emitted piercing howls from their mouths and sprayed pale gray mist from their eye.

The mist turned into threads that connected to Kirsailtingʼs body, while the howls served to disrupt the targetʼs mind; at the very least, they hindered concentration and prevented the release of abilities.

Even when facing Kirsailting, who was in an extremely poor state and so severely wounded that his condition was almost irreparable, Kunzuo did not relax in the slightest. That was respect for a peak expert, and also the accumulated experience of so many years.

Comebacks usually happened when one grew overly complacent and gave the opponent an opening. Kunzuo had no desire to become the backdrop for someone elseʼs legend.

Kirsailtingʼs heart was calm. He knew it was over; his outcome had come.

Without any surprise, those skulls broke through Kirsailtingʼs final defenses, destroyed his last three high-level defensive items, and then all embedded themselves into the peak expertʼs body.

From a distance, Kunzuo pulled the whip back, and those skulls flew out of Kirsailtingʼs body once more, returning to the weapon.

”Sometimes, choice is very important.” Kunzuo looked at his peer-level opponent, whose body was crumbling all over, and spoke calmly.

Kirsailtingʼs body was cracking at a visible rate, like land that had not seen rain for four hundred years.

”Before the outcome is known, who can say whether their choice was right or wrong?”

The two peak experts, who had been fighting each other to the death, now chatted like friends. This was the final conversation of a life.

”Can you... spare Delmaʼs life?”

Kirsailting glanced at the prince and continued, ”I can guarantee that he forgets everything that happened today.”

This was not an empty promise; the cosmic races of the universe, already accustomed to combining various racial technologies with wheel technology, did indeed have many methods to restrain a person.

But... almost all of them also had ways to be broken, just with varying degrees of difficulty.

Kunzuo naturally would not believe such a guarantee. Seeing him shake his head, a look of sorrow appeared on Kirsailtingʼs face.

”Your path has been too smooth all along. I wonʼt be able to accompany you anymore from now on, heh, perhaps I still will, but in a different place.”

As he spoke those final words, Kirsailtingʼs body had already begun to collapse. Not merely losing its life force like an ordinary personʼs death, but truly crumbling and shattering.

”No need for perhaps. Iʼll see him off.” Kunzuo sneered and waved his hand at Delma. The fifth heir of the Reina Star people was sent flying to him without any resistance.

Delma tried to struggle.

In his prime, it might have been possible, as Kunzuo was not in good condition. But Delma was now severely injured, especially from those snowflakes that Lady Star had detonated. Kirsailting had blocked most of them for him, but the few that slipped through had still dealt him a massive blow, and his energy had not yet calmed down.

Kunzuoʼs hand gripped Delmaʼs head. He glanced at Kirsailting, then applied a little pressure, and the princeʼs head burst open. At the same moment, Kirsailtingʼs body also exploded.

In the end, the two died together.

Their deaths signified the annihilation of the Crown Guard. Even though there was a quite capable great expert among them, Kunzuo, with the help of several subordinates, killed him easily.

With that, the Reina Star people who had come here were completely wiped out.

The Huoʼer Star people and the Su Clan had once again become two clearly divided camps.

”Clean up the battlefield!”

”Send out scouts to see if any beast hordes are gathering nearby.”

”Go investigate where the main Reina Star force is.”

”Treat the wounded!”

”...”

Orders from both sides continued to be relayed through their command systems, and their subordinates sprang into action.

On the Su Clan side, almost all the high-ranking members were gathered in the command tent. After hearing the not-too-precise reports, everyoneʼs expressions were grim.

The losses were too great. On both the Su Clan side and the small-race alliance side, the casualty ratios far exceeded their earlier expectations.

In one battle, each side had lost roughly one-ninth of their forces!

Neither side could afford that without feeling the pain.

The situation seemed to have returned to how it was before. While everyone worked to recover as quickly as possible, they were also considering whether, after this battle, the two sides could still communicate as before and adhere to the agreed-upon five-point-five billion.

But before these high-ranking leaders could begin discussing their next move, the sounds of battle suddenly came from outside once more.
