Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2242: Bunch of untrustworthy

Let the Crown Guard Regiment through!

The warriors of the entire Su Clan and the minor race alliance immediately withdrew, opening up a passage.

The Huoʼer Star great expert who had attacked Ye Zhongming was momentarily stunned. Could this actually work?

They wanted Delma to stay alive for now, but they did want to eliminate the other Reina Star people. Now that the Su Clan and the minor race alliance had suddenly relieved half the pressure on the Crown Guard Regiment, what if they broke through and escaped? If they managed to contact the Reina Star people, everything done today would be meaningless.

Then there would be a protracted legal battle and endless covert and overt confrontations.

Because the Su Clan and the minor race alliance had suddenly released their interception of the Crown Guard Regiment, the Huoʼer Star people were thrown into some confusion, urgently trying to block the advancing path of this force.

Even if the Crown Guard Regiment did not flee, letting them join up with Delma and that great expert guard would make the difficulty of eliminating them multiply. Moreover, the commander of the Crown Guard Regiment was also a great expert. Three great experts plus several thousand warriors would be far more effective than fighting separately.

The Huoʼer Star people who had come here had already suffered heavy losses. Their condition had improved somewhat after several days of recovery, but some of their warriors were still unable to fight. They would need to return to their clan for specialized treatment.

Add to that the fact that the Crown Guard Regiment was also an elite force of the Reina Star people, superior to the Huoʼer Star people in equipment, coordination, and individual combat effectiveness. Once the Su Clan and the minor race alliance stopped helping, the Huoʼer Star people immediately found themselves in a difficult position.

Not that they had no way to deal with this regiment of several thousand, but it was somewhat difficult to stop them from joining up with Delma over such a short distance.
Just as the Su Clan and the minor race alliance were pulling back, White Dragon Horse also abandoned its attack on the Reina Star great expert and returned to Ye Zhongmingʼs side.

In the sky, the two peak experts seemed to have developed real anger. A violent energy storm enveloped the airspace above this area, its oppressive force making people dare not even raise their heads to look.

On the ground, several Huoʼer Star great experts had to personally intervene to intercept the approaching Crown Guard Regiment. But Jie Su, Ye Zhongming, White Dragon Horse, and the others kept harassing them from the side.

”Your Highness, follow me!” The guard captain of Delmaʼs retinue came to his masterʼs side. He too now saw the situation clearly: all three factions had their own agendas, each seeking the most favorable position for themselves. This was something they could exploit.

Now, with both the Su Clan and the Huoʼer Star people having just changed their strategies, it was the best time to escape.

Delma hesitated slightly.

If he could regroup with the Crown Guard Regiment before retreating, the chances would certainly be greater. Also, these subordinates had been with him for a long time and were highly skilled. It was somewhat hard to just abandon them.

He felt there was still a chance to lead his people away while the others were all guarding against each other.

As long as he could hold out until reuniting with the Reina Star peopleʼs main force, he would still have the opportunity to turn things around.

But this single hesitation cost Delma dearly.

Two dark shadows sprang out from somewhere unknown. A few energy feathers appeared beside Delma and the guard captain, while some black threads snapped out from the void, lashing toward the two of them.

Delma was greatly alarmed. At this moment, someone was still attacking him?

The guard captain beside him also tensed up. He threw two dumbbell-like weapons. One formed a white hole in front of Delma, while the other was hurled into the densest area of the threads and exploded, creating a gel-like zone that slowed the threads, which seemed to have merged with the night, to a crawl.

But the attacks of the two dark shadows also arrived. One was like the rising moonlight, flickering and shifting through the space. The other stood in place, one finger pointing to the ground, the other held vertically before its nose.

The next moment, the shadow that had been several meters away from Delma suddenly appeared right before his eyes.

Delma roared, his eyes turning red. He spat out a round object from his mouth, which grew larger in the wind, becoming a sphere strikingly similar to a planet. Then a beam of light shot out from it, striking the shadow that had come close with a bang, sending it flying.

But as the shadow flew back, it slashed out with a blade. An instant later, a clean, smooth, deep gash appeared on Delmaʼs face, from which blood began to flow.

Delma felt a lingering fear. If not for his life-saving measure, that strike would have taken off half his head.

Who was this? How had they appeared so suddenly? How could their attack be so fierce?

”Cap...” He was about to call out his guard captainʼs name when he suddenly noticed the guard captainʼs body slowly tilting.

Delma immediately retreated, creating distance, and only then did the guard captain fall to the ground, revealing several different wounds on his body.

To save Delma, the guard captain had used up most of his abilities, greatly reducing his own defense, and had been killed by the other flickering shadow.

Delma suddenly thought of a race. The Star-Eye Clan!

That race that, many, many cosmic years ago, had been the most famous assassin race among all the cosmic races of the universe.

The Star-Eye Clan had never abandoned the thought of killing him!

Delma quickly activated his escape equipment, and his body vanished on the spot. He knew that in the next moment, he would appear over ten kilometers away, and he could still perform two more teleports, each covering a much greater distance. By then, being a hundred li away would be no problem.

And the direction he had chosen was where the Reina Star peopleʼs main force was coming from.

But just as his body disappeared, a force descended from the sky, landing in an area over ten meters around him. Delmaʼs body then reappeared, as if he had collided with something, falling to the ground and spitting out several mouthfuls of blood before stopping.

In the sky, Kunzuo let out a cold snort, while Kirsailting, enraged and shouting, continued to press him.

Delmaʼs face turned ashen, both from his injuries and from despair. Because after his escape method had been destroyed by the peak expert, he no longer had any way to leave this place completely.

”Those who canʼt catch up—kill those bastards!”

The Huoʼer Star commander, seeing that the Su Clan and the minor race alliance had opened the way for the Crown Guard Regiment, angrily gave the attack order. Most of the Huoʼer Star warriors, who were no longer blocking the Reina Star people, began to attack the Su Clan and the minor race alliance.

The entire battlefield descended into chaos.

The situation now: whether it was Kunzuo in the sky, Jie Su on the ground, or the isolated Delma, none of them had anticipated this. They now had no idea at all in which direction the situation would develop.
