Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2179: Healing spark

The three people plus one dragon were indeed not great experts, nor were they easy to deal with; when they had the advantage of surprise and preparation, they had also killed great experts.

But beneath those few faint, misty, demonic hands, no matter how they struggled, they could not break free. Even at this moment, when Ye Zhongming had the elemental elves act, there was no response at all.

It was as if some power had suppressed everything about them. After a few breaths, the only thing they could still control on their own was their consciousness.

At that moment, a piece of information suddenly appeared in the minds of the three people and one dragon.

”Accept, or reject?”

It was not any language, but a pure thought.

The three could not see each other, nor could they communicate with their eyes. Faced with this information that had suddenly appeared in their minds, they hesitated for a moment.

Accept or reject? Accept what? And reject what? What were the benefits of accepting? What were the consequences of rejecting?

Such a choice, without beginning or end, left them unsure what to do at all.

The risk was too great; one careless move, and they might be doomed forever.
Only, the misty demonic hands controlling their bodies began to tighten. They could barely breathe. This feeling of having life and death completely in someone elseʼs grasp was very unpleasant.

”Accept, or reject?”

It was still this consciousness, but compared to before, it felt somewhat urgent and coercive, forcing them to choose. Otherwise, the consequences… were predictable.

”Accept.”

The three chose to accept almost simultaneously.

There was no choice. If they did not make a choice, they might truly be killed directly.

After accepting, the misty demonic hands immediately disappeared. The three people and one dragon fell directly to the ground. Because they had previously had no ability to control their bodies, this fall hurt them a bit.

The coffin lid, which had been suspended, also moved at this time. It slowly rose, all the way to above those few curved metal pillars. After reaching the center position, it suddenly emitted a dazzling light and began spraying brilliant golden sparks downward from above, forming a golden rain that completely surrounded the place where the platform stood.

The entire mountain was illuminated brightly. The parasites in all the caves leading here, as if stimulated by something, retreated in panic. Due to the suddenness, trampling occurred in many caves. Some, in retreating, did not make it back but were instead pushed out of the mountain by those behind.

The few parasitic insects that fell out had not yet landed when a spark materialized beside them, landed on their bodies, and then these parasites turned into larger sparks, never reaching the ground before being burned to ashes.

It took a long time for all the parasites to calm down. They lay prostrate in their respective caves, growling softly, but not one dared to approach the mountain’s side.

……………………

Inside the now-open coffin, the three people and one dragon were watching what was before them, somewhat dumbfounded.

Inside the coffin, an extremely brilliant energy door was slowly rising. Every now and then, a spark would spurt from this door and smash into their bodies.

It was not that they did not want to dodge; it was that they simply could not dodge them. Those sparks seemed able to jump freely through space. No matter how they dodged, the next moment, they would still land on their bodies.

”These sparks… are healing us?”

White-Robe felt the outside energy in his body and was amazed to find that his severe injuries were rapidly improving.

Ye Zhongming and Jie Su also nodded. Although they were not seriously injured, they still had some damage from the fighting, and that was indeed improving.

”White Dragon Horse, how do you feel?”

This was the good thing about being able to talk to a war beast—unobstructed communication.

”My consumption is recovering.” White Dragon Horse replied simply.

Since they could not dodge, and for the moment could see no harm to their bodies, the three people and one dragon simply stopped moving and let these sparks fall onto their bodies.

After waiting a moment, their injuries were completely healed, and even their consumed physical strength, mental energy, and so on were replenished to the full.

While feeling comfortable, the few of them were internally shocked.

Take Ye Zhongming, for example. His total mental energy was too great. Even if the best mental energy potions currently available among the cosmic races were freely available for him to eat, they could not restore him to full health in such a short time. Yet these seemingly ordinary sparks had done it.

This level of wonder deeply shocked them.

With the three people and one dragon in perfect condition, the sparks disappeared, and the brilliant energy door then shone with great intensity.

Several beams of light shone down from above, landing respectively on the three people and one dragon.

”Is this telling us to go inside?”

Jie Su looked at the energy door in front and said softly. He could feel a very gentle pulling force within the light, drawing them toward the energy door.

The three looked at each other. The meaning was understood: go in or not?

Then they collectively shook their heads, because they… had no other choice.

This time, White-Robe walked in front, Jie Su second, and Ye Zhongming with White Dragon Horse at the rear. It had to be said that at this point, White Dragon Horse could not return to the war beast space that came with the shop’s sale.

Their consciousness first went briefly blank. When it returned, the three people and one dragon found themselves in a stream. The flowing water beneath their feet was cold, reaching halfway up their calves. They were surrounded by vegetation, with occasional birdsong coming from nearby.

They immediately looked at the terminals they were carrying, and found that, just like after entering the mysterious space, there was no response at all.

”Look.”

White Dragon Horse was sparing with words and used its gaze to indicate the three.

The three looked at it and saw a small spark resting on its wing. No matter how White Dragon Horse flapped its wings, it could not make it fall off.

The three quickly looked at each other and found that on their own arms, shoulders, backs of necks, and other places, there were also such small sparks that they could not remove no matter what.

”This is going to…” White-Robe had just said three words when he stopped. Then the three quickly moved closer to each other, forming a triangle. White Dragon Horse also flew up above their heads. At the same moment, the stream seemed to explode as if countless silver-white shadows leaped out of the water and attacked them.

”Toothless Fish!”

Jie Su knocked away one creature that knocked onto them and said. This was a type of aquatic parasite, not high in level. It was named for lacking teeth, but its mouth had very strong suction. Once sucked onto a target, it would rapidly steal energy from the targetʼs body.

The Toothless Fish did not have high defense. Any one of the three could kill them with a single punch, and with great force, they could even smash them apart.

But the number of these creatures was too great, almost overwhelming. In the end, even the small area behind the three would have many jumping out, not to mention that the same creatures existed in the stream beneath their feet.

The three used almost every technique they had, killing who knew how many of these parasites. In their perception, it was a full several hours!

Finally, at some moment, the surrounding attacks stopped, leaving only a piled-up mountain of Toothless Fish corpses.

The three were extremely disheveled, with no part of their bodies unscathed. They were all bent over, breathing heavily. White Dragon Horse could no longer fly either, listlessly lying down beside them.

And that was a traitor dragon type known for its physical prowess!

Before the three could say anything, they felt their consciousness darken for an instant. When they looked at what was before them again, they were no longer in the previous place but had returned to the mysterious mountain!
