Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2156.5- Fighting for love (3)

Ye Zhongming had completely lost awareness of the outside world at this moment and entered a miraculous state of mind.

He was indeed making a breakthrough as White Robe had said, and it was indeed not a breakthrough in Furelai, but rather using something he had learned from the Su Clan.

Yaohan Su was not only the clan leader of the Su Clan but also a true expert. Ye Zhongming did not know if he was currently a peak expert, but even if he was not, he was definitely very close.

During negotiations, Yaohan Su represented the interests of the Su Clan, but at other times, he was more of an elder, someone who favored Ye Zhongming, just as he favored Jie Su... a teacher.

Back then, Ye Zhongming had gone to negotiate with the Su Clan by obtaining novice rewards. But had he really learned nothing?

Apart from those formations obtained through various exchanges of interests?

No, Ye Zhongming had still learned quite a bit, and Yaohan Su had also selected some things to teach him.

Among them were many techniques for energy application.

Those were the insights of an expert accumulated up to the present day, incredibly precious.

Similarly, when Ye Zhongming was with the Star-Eye Clan, he had also delved deeply into this area. He was very interested in the relationship between the wheel and the cosmic races.
On Earth, the wheel was an obstacle and also a restriction.

The appearance of the wheel gave humanity a direction and a channel to reach higher levels, but at the same time, it was also a constraint. It prevented lives that had reached level nine and nine stars from progressing further.

Perhaps if they stayed at the level nine realm for a long time, they could make some progress, but that would take who knew how many years.

But in the universe, without the wheel, there were instead methods of progression that the ten thousand races of the universe had obtained through their long history, methods completely away from the wheel.

Perhaps they were still based on the wheel, but they were a higher level, a sign of life breaking free from the wheel.

Ye Zhongming was even more interested in this than the Slave Race.

When he first arrived in the universe, he had inquired and sought advice from everyone in the Star-Eye Clan, and he had also received treatment as needed, which gave him an initial understanding.

Later, he went to the Library Palace. He also read many related books in this area, and after receiving the support of the old dean, he obtained the true teachings of the Library Palace.

By that time, Ye Zhongming actually had many ideas and had achieved a preliminary mastery of this area.

Later, when he went to the Su Clan, Yaohan Su presented another method to Ye Zhongming, the Su Clanʼs.

Ye Zhongming memorized, understood, digested, and then integrated it with previous knowledge, turning it into his own.

It would be an exaggeration to say he had gathered the strengths of various schools, but he definitely had an understanding of energy application that exceeded that of the vast majority of lives in the universe.

His ultimate goal in doing this was certainly to strengthen himself. After continuous exploration and reflection, Ye Zhongming had developed brand new ideas. Under the immense pressure of killing a prince of the Huoʼer Star people, he chose to take a risky gamble.

To be precise, the risk was one Ye Zhongming had sought out himself.

According to his method, if he had taken it step by step and progressed gradually, the danger should have been very small. But he was a bit too eager for quick success, wanting to improve faster, which led to energy leaking ahead of schedule.

What Ye Zhongming was about to do was... upgrade!

Upgrade the equipment he carried with him!

Not what he was wearing, but what he carried, equipment brought from Earth.

The Cloud Peak King had once wondered why, after being brought up, some abilities were stripped away, and all equipment was stripped away.

Perhaps this was a rule, another form of wheel restriction, or, of course, it could be a hint and encouragement.

But no matter what, some things did not leave and would remain inside the bodies of top lifeforms.

For example, the elemental spirits and the Lord equipment that Ye Zhongming carried.

When he came here, these pieces of equipment could still be upgraded using some scrolls. Among the ten thousand races of the universe, these items were still somewhat available, although the quantity was not large, and they were easier to find than on Earth.

Ye Zhongming had successfully upgraded them, which led to the later power of the Mountain King Crown.

But later, Ye Zhongming discovered that even if he obtained more upgrade scrolls, the upgrade was not guaranteed; instead, there was a success rate.

Something that should have been 100% successful actually failed.

The old dean gave him an explanation. The old man said that special types of equipment, like life in the universe, had also had certain restrictions lifted when they came to the universe. To upgrade them, one needed to meet their ʼconditionsʼ.

What the specific conditions were, no one dared to be sure, but one thing was certain: it was definitely some kind of energy.

Regarding this problem, Ye Zhongming offered his own answer.

He believed that since it was impossible to determine exactly which kind of energy, but... the most original energy should work, right?

What was the most original energy? Ye Zhongming thought it was... life force, or the purest internal energy.

His method was: he could not give life force; he could only nourish this special equipment little by little, but he did not have that much time and could not directly input life force, since he did not want to be a short-lived ghost. So that left only one path: the purest energy.

But what exactly was the purest energy?

There was naturally no answer; Ye Zhongming could only guess and experiment for himself. So he began to ʼcompressʼ and ʼpurifyʼ the energy within his body.

This process was actually very painful and also a gamble, but Ye Zhongming decided to try it.

He closed his eyes and meditated, a process of ʼpurifyingʼ energy.

As he repeatedly altered the energy in his body to reach his ideal state, an accident occurred.

Originally, he was going to control this energy to try to come into contact with the Lord equipment to have a look. This was considered an experiment. The target he chose was the Ocean King Crown.

After all, compared to the elemental spirits, if the Lord equipment failed, it would be easier for him to accept. Regardless, the elemental spirits called him ʼDadʼ.

From this perspective, those who cannot speak always lose out.

But just as the energy appeared, the two elemental spirits, which had always been well-behaved and obedient, jumped out...
