Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2171: Fighting for love (18)

The power of Thunder Calamity lay in its attacks, dealing dual damage.

One was the damage from the energy itself. The other was the elemental characteristic. Attacks from other elements also exhibited this phenomenon, but none were as obvious as those from the lightning attribute.

Back then, when Zimu was choosing his main combat ability, he had considered this point and settled on Thunder Calamity.

After obtaining the Spike Mansion Hammers, he became even more like a fish in water, able to increase the power of Thunder Calamity by at least twenty percent.

Zimu felt that he probably did not even need to use his full strength; this detestable guy from the Star-Eye Clan would be struck dead.

No, he decided not to use his full strength. It would be best if White Robe were paralyzed. Then, he would break and shatter all the bones in this guyʼs body, hammer blow by hammer blow.

But Zimu suddenly felt that something was wrong.

Thunder Calamity had enveloped White Robe for a while now, and he was still holding on?

White Robe had no weapon in his hands, just his fists with gloves, and he was trading blows back and forth with Zimu.

The lightning Zimu thought would settle the outcome, though each bolt struck White Robeʼs body and made him tremble constantly, did not seem to have much effect. After being struck for so long, the guy was still full of vitality.
This was impossible!

Zimu naturally did not lose his composure enough to say that out loud, but the chaotic thoughts in his heart were put away.

He began to take White Robe seriously.

Perhaps the man that Yisewei had taken a liking to really had some outstanding qualities.

As Zimu grew more serious, the pressure on White Robe immediately increased.

The liquid he had earlier poured over his body after breaking the bottles was derived from marine life and served to provide an insulating effect.

Although the three of them—Ye Zhongming, White Robe, and Jie Su—had decided to act against Zimu only after arriving here, the idea had existed for a long time, and they had already been collecting all information about Zimu.

This included information from the Star-Eye Clanʼs own channels, from the Su Clanʼs channels, and from the Library Palaceʼs intelligence system.

Combining these three sources, although Zimu could not be said to have been completely and thoroughly investigated, the vast majority of his information had been fully exposed in the eyes of the several individuals.

White Robe and the others knew that this guy had three pieces of Raini-grade equipment, knew that his main combat ability was Thunder Calamity, and knew that his close-combat ability was Suoduo Strike...

Since they knew these things, how could they not be prepared? This insulating liquid was one of their preparations, and the Changxu Water Race, which had provided this piece of intelligence, had it in stock.

With this insulating liquid, although White Robe could not completely avoid the damage from the lightning, it still made things much, much easier for him.

White Robeʼs body hurt a bit, not only from the residual power of the lightning attacks but also from the characteristics of the Spike Mansion Hammers, which constantly affected his internal body. This kind of insidious attack could not be avoided.

In the second minute after being enveloped by Thunder Calamity, the gloves White Robe was wearing shattered.

Zimu was delighted. This guy had lasted this long against his Spike Mansion Hammers using just a pair of gloves, which had already surprised him. It proved that they were at least a pair of Red Condensation-grade equipment, because his own weapons needed to control the lightning in order to withstand it.

Now, letʼs see what he would use to go against him.

As if answering him, a pair of hammers also appeared in White Robeʼs hands, only much larger than Zimuʼs.

Zimu was stunned. With just a glance, he could tell that these hammers were Red Condensation-grade. Because of their larger size, some details were easily noticeable.

The Star-Eye Clan was really putting in a lot of resources for this operation! Zimu thought to himself, just like the chief guard earlier.

But he could understand this behavior. After all, as long as he died, White Robe would very likely become Yiseweiʼs husband. In that case, all the Star-Eye Clanʼs investments would be repaid many times over.

Just like he, Zimu, had not he himself ingratiated himself with that peak expert and many people in his clan to become who he was today?

”Red Condensation-grade wonʼt cut it.”

Zimu said, and his movements quickened. He intentionally let the lightning be emitted in smaller quantities, so that the Spike Mansion Hammers could better use their power as close-combat weapons.

His Furelai was so much higher than White Robeʼs, and his weapon was a whole grade higher. Having not defeated his opponent for so long was really a bit inexcusable.

With a peng sound, after the Spike Mansion Hammers collided with the hammers in White Robeʼs hands dozens of times consecutively, the difference in grade became apparent. The Spike Mansion Hammers were unharmed, but White Robeʼs hammers were shattered directly.

The Silver Order Leader stepped back two paces, opened his mouth, and spat out a small amount of blood. The feeling of tightness in his chest improved considerably.

Zimu smirked slightly. He said nothing, but his eyes told White Robe, ”You canʼt do it.”

Beneath his mask, White Robeʼs face was expressionless. When this pair of hammers shattered, he disposed of them cleanly, then casually gestured, and a three-pronged staff appeared in his hand.

Zimu...

Although this staff was much rougher than the previous hammers, it was still discernible as a Red Condensation-grade piece of equipment.

Zimu could understand the Star-Eye Clan making a heavy investment in White Robe, but in such a short time, that was three Red Condensation-grade pieces. Added to the gear White Robe was currently wearing, this guy had at least ten pieces of equipment of this grade. Such luxury was only available to great experts, the royal family, and some high-level members among the Huoʼer Star people.

White Robe took this weapon and unsparingly smashed it toward Zimu.

Zimu got angry. Something dark flashed in his eyes. He lightly tapped his double hammers together, and a giant lightning bolt flew out, striking the three-pronged staff in White Robeʼs hand with a hong sound, and the staff shattered instantly.

White Robe was stunned. Although this staff was rough, it was said to have been made back when Ye Zhongming had first mastered manufacturing Red Condensation-grade equipment. Rough as it was, it was still Red Condensation-grade equipment. Shattered in an instant?

White Robe was dissatisfied. Zimu was even more dissatisfied. He had thought that using one ability from Thunder Calamity would at least seriously injure White Robe. He had not expected it to just shatter his weapon.

”Letʼs see if you have any left!” The Huoʼer Star prince gritted his teeth and continued his attack.

”Yes.” White Robe answered very directly. Two curved knives appeared in his hands.

These two weapons were much more exquisite than the previous three-pronged staff and were definitely considered fine pieces among Red Condensation-grade equipment.

Zimu stopped thinking. He used both hands with force, his bodyʼs energy gushing up into the Spike Mansion Hammers. The lightning that had diminished suddenly increased in quantity, and no longer scattered wildly around but gathered on both sides of his body, quickly forming two thunderclouds composed of lightning. As the thunderclouds formed, he inserted the Spike Mansion Hammers into the two giant thunderclouds, which immediately replaced the original hammer heads.

”Surely youʼll die this time?!” Zimu shouted, smashing the transformed lightning hammers in his hands toward White Robe.
