Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

A group of players soon entered the Gray Mist.

On the way to Exile Island, the players marveled at the terrifying and eerie atmosphere the game had created.

After landing on the island, they followed the directions in a guide and quickly entered the Exile Mine.

But!

Whether Faraway, Guagua, and the others had agreed to keep it a secret or were just too embarrassed to say, they failed to mention the ambusher waiting around the corner.

As a result, a whole bunch of players were in for a world of hurt.

”Fuck! You ****! What the hell is this ** monster! You scared the shit out of me!”

”Fucking devs! You’ve got too much time on your hands!”

”...”

The players who were killed in the ambush let loose a torrent of curses, while those lucky enough to survive were also grumbling and swearing.

Only the players who not only avoided the ambush but also managed a counter-kill gave a thumbs-up. ”What a great monster. It gives players a nice surprise during their exploration, elevating the game’s thrilling and terrifying atmosphere to a new level. We have to let other players experience this for themselves!”

Further in, the battle between the Gulard Soldiers and the Exiled Prisoners blocked the path for many players.

Some new players who were too ambitious and hadn’t trained properly with the Fishman Coach were quickly humbled and began to complain bitterly.

As for the players who hadn’t skipped their training, getting past wasn’t exactly easy, but they could eventually succeed after dying two or three times.

After successfully descending the stairs and seeing the Rotting Prisoners...

”Hiss... who set off firecrackers in this guy’s eye sockets? Holy hell, and the smell is overpowering. This is some seriously messed-up shit... Tsk tsk.”

”Oh my god! A full 16 units of Wax Oil!”

”That’s worth sixteen Fishman Coaches!”

”What Rotting Prisoner? That’s my godfather! I’ll fight anyone who calls my godfather ugly!”

”...”

When they first saw the horrifying and disgusting visages of the Rotting Prisoners, every one of them was repulsed.

But upon seeing the gleaming, double-digit amount of Wax Oil, the players’ eyes instantly lit up. They became ecstatic, their expressions changing in a flash. They looked ready to swear a blood oath with the Rotting Prisoners before them.

’What great monsters! You don’t even need to aim; they just hand over the Wax Oil. So considerate!’

A group of players happily settled into the prison. While waiting for the Rotting Prisoners to respawn, they would go up the stairs to ambush the Gulard Soldiers.

This meant the Defender Captain in front of the prison was having the worst luck of its life—it was either being backstabbed or on its way to being backstabbed.

Storyteller was, naturally, among this crowd of scoundrels.

However, he was currently more focused on something else.

’Gulard Decree...’

’Mushroom said the Black Stone Gatekeeper on Exile Peak seems to require a decree to grant passage.’

After pondering this, Storyteller turned his attention back to the item’s content and its Explanation.

’A special decree of Gulard, used to convey orders...’

’Must be strictly guarded. Do not touch or speak...’

’This item came from the dead Defender Captain, so it was likely received from a superior in the same Gulard faction...’

’It seems they place great importance on these Rotting Prisoners...’

Storyteller squatted by the prison cell, frowning.

’These rotten corpses must be connected to the Rotting Prisoners...’

’Present...’

’This decree, and the Black Stone Gatekeeper’s requirement... this must be the game’s subtle way of guiding players toward the truth...’

Muttering to himself, Storyteller jotted down this important information.

Mushroom had said he wasn’t done exploring Exile Peak and planned to make a push for it tonight.

’There must be other clues inside...’ he thought.

With that, Storyteller set the matter aside for now. His Level was still very low—he hadn’t even ignited his Warfire. His current priority was to get stronger.

...

As one of the Prison Players, Niuniu didn’t have so many concerns.

He didn’t even rush into the Exile Mine, instead making a beeline for the coastal camp in the Patrol Corridor.

Before he even started playing, he had heard from Li Miao about the rich loot drops in the Patrol Corridor.

Compared to the pathetic loot from the prisoners in the Exile Mine, these Gulard Soldiers were practically swimming in riches.

”Hehehe, Battle Ash, Greatswords, gear... your Grandpa Niu is here!”

Niuniu let out an excited roar and began his rampage through the Patrol Corridor.

Though he was a born rebel with a mind full of dirty tricks, Niuniu’s combat skills were actually quite impressive; his training with the Fishman Coach had been rock-solid.

He was also building a Warrior focusing on Power with Agility as a secondary stat, so he could handle the patrol squads with ease.

’Exploiting glitches to get ahead is a skill, and so is having a solid foundation. As long as the situation allows, it’s best to do both at the same time.’

Soon, he reached the first coastal camp, having successfully obtained the Gulard Heavy Strike Battle Ash on his way.

The Defender Captain was still leading its Gulard Soldiers in a chaotic brawl against the Exiled Prisoners.

Seeing this, Niuniu began to think.

Li Miao had mentioned in the group chat that he had successfully farmed the coastal camp twice by kiting mobs. However, whether it was bad luck or the Defender Captain simply didn’t drop it, he never got that Sword Qi Battle Ash.

This suggested that the Defender Captain’s drop rate was probably low. ’If I’m going to farm it, I’d better find a more efficient method.’

’This mob... it’s a bit tough to handle...’

’A direct assault would be too inefficient, and I’d probably die a lot.’

Niuniu frowned, lost in thought as he surveyed his surroundings.

But when his eyes landed on a certain key element, he paused. The gears of mischief began to turn in his head.

’Aha! I have a plan!’

Niuniu raised an index finger, his eyes glinting with cunning and Wisdom.

...

The Defender Captain let out a hoarse roar. Scraping the tip of its Greatsword along the ground, it was just about to unleash a wave of Sword Qi to kill the Riot Leader.

But it failed to notice the sound of something slicing through the air behind it.

THUD!

A sudden Bone Fork struck the Defender Captain, making it stagger. The release of its Combat Skill was interrupted, and it suffered a devastating blow to its back.

”ROAR!”

The enraged Defender Captain spun around, trying to find its attacker, but saw nothing except the large, half-open iron gates flanking the battlefield.

It instinctively started to move closer to investigate.

But moments later, the Riot Leader behind it landed a direct hit with a yellow orb of light, pulling its attention back to the fight.

Seeing this, Niuniu, who had been observing through the crack in the large iron gate, emerged again, looking very Sneaky.

Through long observation, he had discovered that most monsters would immediately search for their attacker after taking damage. If they couldn’t find a target, they would become alert and actively seek one out.

However, if they were attacked by another target during this process, their aggro would naturally shift. ’Very realistic. They have Wisdom, but not much.’

With that thought, Warfire ignited around Niuniu’s body as he unleashed another charged Bone Fork Throwing.

WHOOSH—

BOOM!

The Defender Captain took a Heavy Strike and was knocked to the ground.

The Riot Leader once again raised the Banner in its hand, gathering another yellow orb of light to press its advantage.

’Trying to steal my kill? Not a chance!’

Seeing this from behind the iron gate, Niuniu quickly switched to his Bow and Arrow and let an Arrow fly.

The Arrow left his bow, flying straight into the Riot Leader’s mouth, plunging down its throat and piercing through the back of its head.

It looked like an incredibly precise shot, but he had actually been aiming for its head...

’But the result is the same,’ he thought. ’A hit is a hit.’

The Defender Captain struggled back to its feet, raising its Greatsword to deliver the Lethal Strike.

SHLICK!

A Longsword wreathed in illusory flame plunged straight through its chest.

The scoundrel behind it was clearly one step faster.

”Hehehe.”

Niuniu let out a sly laugh, looted the corpse with lightning speed, then turned and fled without a second glance.

”ROAR!”

Only then did the other Gulard Soldiers on the battlefield react, roaring as they gave chase.

But Niuniu quickly reached a gap in the Patrol Corridor wall. With a push, a leap, and a pull, he scrambled up onto a towering rock.

”ROAR!”

The lead Gulard Soldier fearlessly began to climb up after him, with the others following close behind.

’They can climb?’

But it was only halfway up when Niuniu brought his sword down on its head.

Since climbing required both hands, the Gulard Soldiers had to drop their weapons, thoughtfully presenting their heads to Niuniu.

’Hey bro, what do you think of my helmet?’

CLANG!

Niuniu cleaved it in two with a single strike, thoroughly amused. From his high perch, he waved down at the crowd of Gulard Soldiers.

”If you’re looking to die, form a line! One at a time!”

When he saw a few Gulard Soldiers below start to cautiously back away, he thoughtfully took a moment out of his busy schedule to send an Arrow their way and pull their aggro back.

”Hey, hey, don’t go! It’ll be your turn soon!”
