Divine Level Witch Doctor

Director Song’s startled cry drew everyone’s eyes to the unconscious girl’s stomach.

Immediately, a series of gasps rang out.

”How could this be happening?”

”There’s really something inside her stomach!”

”My god, is that really a parasite? It’s not like some kind of alien creature burrowed into her stomach, is it? What kind of parasite could cause such a stir?!”

Aside from the doctors and nurses, everyone else was so frightened by the sight that they scrambled backward.

On the unconscious girl’s stomach, numerous bumps bulged outward. It was obvious that something was churning inside her, stretching the skin taut.

These protrusions were quite large; no ordinary parasite could create such a spectacle. It led many to wonder if something like a small snake or an eel had burrowed into the girl’s stomach.

”Director Song, do you believe me now that there really is a parasite in the patient’s stomach?” Zhao Yuan asked in a low voice.

Director Song’s mouth fell open. He wanted to speak, but his throat felt too dry to make a sound. He could only nod to show that he now believed.

It was the first time he had ever seen such a large, bizarre parasite.

Zhao Yuan urged, ”Since you’re no longer in doubt, what are you waiting for? Get the patient to an operating room immediately. We need to perform surgery and remove the parasite from her stomach as soon as possible!”

Director Song swallowed hard, forcing himself to calm down. He called out, ”Do as Zhao Yuan says! Get the patient prepped for surgery right away. Contact the OR and tell them we have an emergency procedure that needs to be done now!”

The facts were undeniable. Even though Director Song had been biased against Zhao Yuan before, he had no choice but to trust him and follow his instructions now.

”Yes, sir,” Guan Tao replied loudly, immediately rushing off to write the medical orders and contact the operating room.

Seeing that Director Song finally believed him, Zhao Yuan also breathed a sigh of relief and pulled the Golden Long Needle out of the girl’s stomach.

”Hm?”

As he looked at the withdrawn Golden Long Needle, Zhao Yuan’s expression instantly darkened.

The tip of the Golden Long Needle had been corroded by that dark green liquid! Even a small portion of the needle’s shaft had been eaten away, vanishing completely.

That dark green liquid was not only incredibly viscous, but it was also highly corrosive!

This was something Zhao Yuan hadn’t anticipated.

In the brief instant he stood there stunned, the unconscious girl suddenly sat up. Her hands shot out like lightning, grabbing the right hand in which he held the needle, and tried to press it back onto her stomach. At the same time, the bulges on her abdomen, caused by the strange creature, swelled even more violently, making one worry that her skin might just burst!

This sudden turn of events was beyond anyone’s expectations. Even Zhao Yuan hadn’t imagined things would develop this way.

However, despite the shocking twist, he didn’t panic. He calmly assessed the bizarre situation.

’Although the girl sat up and grabbed my hand, her eyes are still tightly closed. She must still be unconscious!’

’Clearly, this isn’t her own consciousness at work. Her body is being controlled by the strange creature in her stomach! The creature’s target isn’t my hand, but the Golden Long Needle.’

’Just a moment ago, to elicit a reaction from the creature, I intentionally channeled a trace of Wish Power into the Golden Long Needle.’

’To ordinary people, this Wish Power is invisible and intangible. But to certain evil beings that can devour Wish Power, it’s a first-rate delicacy!’

’That’s why a piece of the Golden Long Needle was destroyed. It wasn’t corroded—it was devoured by the strange creature! And after I pulled the Golden Long Needle out, the creature wasn’t satisfied. It wants to eat the entire thing!’

How could Zhao Yuan let this strange creature have its way?

With a cold snort, he activated his Storage Ring, stashing the half-eaten Golden Long Needle into the Storage Ring Space. Then, with his left hand, he simultaneously withdrew the Exorcism Talisman and the Fearless Pearl and slapped them onto the girl’s forehead.

Zhao Yuan didn’t know which of the two Magical Artifacts would be effective, so he simply used both.

The two Magical Artifacts, used in tandem, had a surprisingly good effect.

The girl, who had been acting like a madwoman just a moment before, immediately calmed down. THUD. She fell back onto the stretcher. The strange creature rampaging inside her stomach also fell silent in an instant.

WHOOSH... Zhao Yuan let out a long breath. ’Looks like my Magical Artifacts are pretty effective against these strange creatures,’ he thought.

While no one was looking at his hands, he quickly returned the items to his Storage Ring Space. Then, he turned to the stunned nurses and said, ”Don’t just stand there! Hurry and take her for pre-op!”

The nurses on either side of the stretcher finally snapped out of it. One asked worriedly, ”She’s not going to sit up and attack someone again, is she?”

”Don’t worry, not for now,” Zhao Yuan said.

’The strange creatures inside the girl’s stomach have been suppressed by my Magical Artifacts. They shouldn’t be able to stir up any more trouble for a short while. What we need to do now is take advantage of this time, while they’re subdued, and get them out.’

With his assurance, the nurses felt much more relieved and wheeled the unconscious girl away.

Director Song came over and asked curiously, ”Zhao Yuan, what just happened? Why did the patient suddenly sit up and attack you?”

”I don’t know,” Zhao Yuan said, not telling the truth—he couldn’t possibly tell the truth.

Director Song pressed on, ”Then how did she calm down?”

Zhao Yuan fabricated an excuse. ”I pressed an acupoint on her head to calm her down, so she quieted down.”

”I see.” Director Song didn’t doubt him. Instead, he muttered to himself, ’It seems Traditional Chinese Medicine really does have its extraordinary aspects. I was wrong to look down on it and be so biased before!’

And indeed, after this incident, Director Song actually began to study Traditional Chinese Medicine on his own. In the future, he would use a combination of Chinese and Western medical therapies to treat his patients, greatly improving his treatment outcomes.

The pre-operative preparations were completed quickly, and the operating room was made ready.

At this moment, Zhao Yuan suggested that he act as the chief surgeon, a proposal that met with everyone’s unanimous approval.

Although Zhao Yuan was only a medical student and had not yet obtained his Physician’s license, meaning he technically had no right to diagnose patients or perform surgery, everyone now intentionally or unintentionally overlooked this fact.

On one hand, it was because Zhao Yuan had demonstrated convincing skills; on the other, it was because this new type of parasitic disease was simply too bizarre and strange for anyone else to dare treat it.

After disinfecting and changing into scrubs, Zhao Yuan walked into the operating room. Director Song and Pan Mei followed him in to act as his assistants.

Taking the scalpel handed to him by Pan Mei, Zhao Yuan carefully made an incision on the girl’s abdomen. Suddenly, a flash of green light shot out from the incision, heading straight for Zhao Yuan’s face!
