Divine Level Witch Doctor

Lu Ping quickly opened the electronic issue of *Chinese Medicine*. Since it was the newest issue, he could only view the first few pages for free, which happened to end right after Yan Shiyun’s preface. To read the rest, he would have to either buy a physical copy or pay for digital access.

To find out just what Zhao Yuan’s exam paper was like and how brilliant it had to be to make so many renowned experts and Great Gods trumpet its praises, numerous students from West Hua Medical University registered accounts on the official website for *Chinese Medicine*. They then paid to purchase the digital issue and read the rest of its contents.

Lu Ping and his followers did the same.

After paying, they were finally able to see Zhao Yuan’s exam paper.

Perhaps to preserve its authenticity, Yan Shiyun had published Zhao Yuan’s entire exam paper in the magazine, from start to finish. Even the words ”West Hua Medical University, Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, First-Year Final Exam Paper” were still on it! It was a jaw-dropping sight that only fueled everyone’s curiosity.

People scrolled onward and finally saw the exam paper in its full glory, eliciting a collective gasp of astonishment. While reading the contents, they rushed to the school forums to post about their shock.

”My god, this is the exam Zhao Yuan took? Are you sure this isn’t an entrance exam for a related PhD program?”

”The poster above, you’ve got to be kidding. How could a PhD entrance exam possibly compare to the one Zhao Yuan took? If this had been my PhD entrance exam last year, I would’ve been toast!”

”I skimmed through it. The Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine exam is nothing but essay questions from start to finish! And every single question is incredibly difficult and tricky! As a graduate student in Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I have absolutely no idea how to even begin answering these!”

”Who the hell wrote this exam? It could honestly be called the hardest Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine exam in history! Don’t tell me the professors just listed all the problems they’ve encountered in their own research and turned them into this exam paper?”

Believe it or not, that person had guessed correctly.

The two exam papers Zhao Yuan took were indeed a collection of difficult problems that had stumped the professors for years!

Just then, someone scrolled to the Medical Ancient Texts exam at the end and was once again deeply shocked.

”You guys, look at the Medical Ancient Texts exam! The person who wrote this was completely insane!”

”Holy crap, the Medical Ancient Texts exam isn’t just difficult, there are so many questions—several pages worth... And Zhao Yuan finished all of this in an hour and a half? That’s unbelievable!”

”Comparing yourself to others is just infuriating! I can’t solve a single one of these questions. But Zhao Yuan not only answered everything completely and perfectly, he did it all in just an hour and a half. That’s just monstrous! Is that guy even human? Could he be an alien in disguise?”

Lu Ping also saw the Medical Ancient Texts exam paper.

His face turned deathly pale, and he stammered, ”This is the Medical Ancient Texts exam Zhao Yuan took that day? No wonder he was writing furiously the whole time and only finished a few minutes before the exam ended... How ridiculous. I actually thought he was too arrogant to study and had bombed the test. I had no idea the exam Zhao Yuan took was completely different from ours.”

This was like an elementary school student who gets a perfect score on an addition and subtraction test, thinks he’s the greatest thing ever, and then takes his paper to challenge someone who got a perfect score on the national college entrance exam for math.

How utterly laughable!

How utterly... like a frog in a well!

’No! I’m not any worse than Zhao Yuan! If he can complete that exam, so can I! And I can do it even better!’ Lu Ping took a deep breath, feeling a fire ignite in his chest as his fighting spirit soared wildly.

He immediately scrolled back to the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine exam. He planned to carefully examine the questions, write his own set of answers, and upload them to the school forum for the teachers and students to see. He would show them that he was stronger than Zhao Yuan!

The dream was beautiful, but reality was exceptionally cruel.

The very first question on the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine exam was enough to extinguish Lu Ping’s blazing fighting spirit as if it had been hit by a torrential downpour.

”This question...” Lu Ping’s mouth hung open. He read the question over and over again, but in the end, he could only shake his head and mumble, ”This question... what does it even mean?”

’To be all fired up to answer the questions, only to find I can’t even understand the prompt... Is there anything more pathetic than this?’

In truth, Lu Ping wasn’t the only one who couldn’t understand the questions. Even some graduate and doctoral students in Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine wouldn’t necessarily be able to comprehend them. This was because all the questions were difficult problems encountered by teachers, renowned experts, and Great Gods who had been immersed in the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine for decades.

However, after reading Zhao Yuan’s solutions, people not only understood the questions but also grasped the problems completely.

Zhao Yuan’s solutions weren’t the least bit obscure. They were profound yet easy to understand and clearly structured, allowing anyone to comprehend them easily and learn the knowledge and essence within.

Lu Ping also only understood what the first question meant after reading Zhao Yuan’s solution.

For him, this was another heavy blow.

’Medical Ancient Texts is my real specialty. I’ve even published a few papers in journals like *Shu Region Medical Tales*. I may not get the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine exam, but I can definitely handle the Medical Ancient Texts one!’

Lu Ping still hadn’t given up on proving himself.

However, his inner goal had already shifted from surpassing Zhao Yuan to simply trying to close the distance...

Lu Ping hurriedly flipped to the Medical Ancient Texts exam, but one look was all it took for him to be dumbfounded all over again.

He could understand the questions on this damn Medical Ancient Texts exam, but he had no idea how to solve them!

Not a single one!

”What kind of damn exam is this for a first-year student? Which professor wrote this? It’s way beyond the curriculum!” Lu Ping complained.

At this point, no matter how much he didn’t want to admit it, he had to: he was far, far weaker than Zhao Yuan.

Zhao Yuan’s skill level had long since surpassed that of a first-year student. It had even surpassed that of graduate and doctoral students in the relevant field and was on par with the professors.

’How laughable. I actually overestimated my own abilities and wanted to compete with Zhao Yuan to see who was better...’

’It was like an ant trying to shake a great tree!’

After a long sigh, Lu Ping completely gave up the idea of competing with Zhao Yuan.

Zhao Yuan was like a towering mountain, leaving Lu Ping to do nothing but gaze up in awe. He couldn’t chase him, and he could never catch up.

”I give up! Zhao Yuan, you’re an absolute monster!” Lu Ping muttered to himself with a pained expression.
