Divine Level Witch Doctor

Ma Guotao was very happy, but the head of the academic affairs office looked miserable. He sighed and said, ”President, never mind all that. We need to figure out what to do! Our office is being drowned in student protests.”

”What’s so difficult about this?” Ma Guotao said with a chuckle. ”Since the students have such a strong desire to learn, let’s just open up another batch of slots. We’ll cap it at the number of seats in our school’s largest lecture hall!”

”What if... that’s still not enough?” the head of academic affairs asked.

This time, even Ma Guotao was stumped.

Indeed, given the current situation, even the school’s largest lecture hall probably wouldn’t be enough.

After a moment of contemplation, Ma Guotao came up with a new solution. ”Post another announcement. We’ll officially livestream Zhao Yuan’s class on the university website. That way, even the students who couldn’t register won’t have too many complaints.”

”That’s a great idea.” The academic affairs head’s eyes lit up. He hastily said his goodbyes to Ma Guotao and rushed off to handle the matter as instructed.

The release of new slots, combined with the promise to livestream Zhao Yuan’s lecture, finally quelled the students’ anger and dissatisfaction. Students from other medical schools and even doctors already in the workforce were also very pleased. Although they couldn’t attend the lecture in person, being able to watch a livestream was a pleasant surprise.

All in all, it was a happy outcome for everyone.

Meanwhile, in dorm room 301, the excitement was just as intense as it was online.

Wu Yan shook his head in admiration and said, ”Third Brother, you’re seriously amazing. Not only did both of your exam papers get published in *Chinese Medicine*, but you’re also going to be teaching a class next semester... Should we start calling you Teacher Zhao from now on?”

Liu Zhu was beaming with pride, as if he were the one teaching the class next semester. He laughed and said, ”Third Brother, when did you and the school decide you’d be teaching next semester? How come you never mentioned it before? You’re so secretive!”

Wang Rongfeng chimed in, ”Third Brother, I couldn’t snag a spot in your class on the registration system. Shouldn’t you pull some strings for me?”

Zhao Yuan smiled and responded to each of his brothers’ congratulations and jokes.

Suddenly, the dorm room door was pushed open, and a huge crowd of people swarmed in. It wasn’t just his classmates from the third-year integrated Chinese and Western medicine class, but also many students from other classes and majors living in the same dorm building.

After coming in, besides congratulating Zhao Yuan and expressing their admiration, they shamelessly asked if he could pull some strings to get them a spot in his class—even if it meant they’d have to stand without a seat!

Faced with everyone’s requests, Zhao Yuan could only smile wryly.

’Do you think this is a train? Are you trying to buy standing-room tickets?’

Tired of the clamor, Zhao Yuan decided to pass the buck to the school. Spreading his hands, he said loudly, ”Everyone, listen up. I’m only responsible for teaching the class. The academic affairs office is in charge of everything else, so there’s nothing I can do. Besides, even if you can’t attend in person, you can still watch the livestream on the school’s official website! And if you run into any difficulties or have questions about your studies in the future, you can always come to me. As long as I know the answer, I’ll definitely help you out!”

Hearing this, the crowd finally let him off the hook and stopped ’pressuring’ him.

It took a great deal of effort to finally deal with everyone. Zhao Yuan felt more exhausted than he did after Cultivation or a breakthrough. He felt like his body was about to fall apart as he collapsed into his chair.

He hadn’t even rested for two minutes when his phone rang. He took it out and saw that the caller was none other than Lin Xue.

Pressing the answer key, Zhao Yuan said wearily, ”Xiaoxue, what’s up?”

Lin Xue heard that something was wrong and immediately grew nervous. ”What’s the matter with you? You’re not sick, are you?” she asked hurriedly.

Zhao Yuan recounted what had just happened to Lin Xue, sighing at the end. ”So that’s what happened. I was almost exhausted to the point of collapse.”

Lin Xue was amused. She let out a laugh like tinkling silver bells and then said, ”Well, who told you to be in the limelight so much? These are the troubles that come with fame.”

Zhao Yuan smiled wryly. He hadn’t wanted to be in the spotlight like this, but who would have thought the school would ’sell him out’ and give him such an ’unexpected surprise’. Fortunately, just like before, being in the limelight had brought him a huge wave of Wish Power, so it was some compensation, at least.

After their lighthearted banter, Lin Xue congratulated him.

She had just finished congratulating him when Yang Zi, who had been waiting nearby, snatched the phone away.

Yang Zi didn’t congratulate him right away. Instead, she took him to task. ”Xiaoyuanzi, you’ve got some nerve, daring to not answer our calls!”

”What do you mean I didn’t answer?” Zhao Yuan was taken aback. ”The phone rang, and I answered it right away.”

Yang Zi huffed, ”You have the gall to say that? Just look at how many times we called you before.”

Zhao Yuan pulled up his call log. Wow, there were dozens of missed calls! Besides the calls from Lin Xue and Yang Zi, there were also calls from teachers like Yu Ke and Pan Mei, as well as from medical Great Gods like Qiao Zhixue and Professor Tu, whom he had met during the challenge against the Jinling Zhao Family.

The dorm room had been too crowded and noisy just now. Even with his sharp senses, he hadn’t heard or noticed his phone ringing.

”Sorry, sorry. My bad.”

Zhao Yuan’s apologetic attitude satisfied Yang Zi greatly. She said with a grin, ”Just knowing you’re wrong isn’t enough. So, how are you going to make up for it?”

”How about I treat you to a meal?” Zhao Yuan said.

Before Yang Zi could even agree over the phone, a voice came from outside the door: ”Treating someone to a meal? You can’t leave us out of that!”

Zhao Yuan turned his head to look. Well, what do you know. It was his classmates. Although they had left dorm room 301, they hadn’t gone far and were still chatting in the hallway. They had immediately overheard what he said on the phone.

In truth, his classmates weren’t really trying to fleece Zhao Yuan; they were just joking with him. But Zhao Yuan took it seriously and nodded with a chuckle. ”Alright, let’s all go together.”

Don’t people always like to celebrate with a feast after getting a promotion or striking it rich? Although Zhao Yuan hadn’t gotten a promotion, teaching a class as a student could be considered a major upgrade. In that case, there was no reason not to treat everyone and liven things up. Besides, the current Zhao Yuan wasn’t short on cash.

It was the classmates who had been jeering who were now stunned.

They didn’t know that Zhao Yuan had opened a pharmaceutical factory, much less that Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Vitality Pills, and the Beauty Pill were connected to him. They just thought he was the same poor kid from a few months ago and were afraid he was just putting on a brave front. They quickly waved their hands and refused. In the end, it was Liu Zhu and the others who swore up and down that Zhao Yuan now had his own business and was a little tycoon. Only then did the classmates relax, laughing and shouting that they were going to make the tycoon pay for a big feast!
