Divine Level Witch Doctor

Some agreed with this speculation, but others raised doubts. ”No, that can’t be right. If it’s really as you guessed, and his scores were too embarrassing to even release, how could Zhao Yuan possibly rank first?”

The crony from before pondered for a moment, then said, ”What’s so hard to understand about that? Zhao Yuan was established as the pride of the school by Principal Ma. If he couldn’t get a good ranking in the final exams, wouldn’t that tarnish his title? It would be a slap in the face to Principal Ma, right? So no matter how badly Zhao Yuan did, he had to be first in the year.”

This explanation won the approval of all the cronies, and they all started crying foul on Lu Ping’s behalf.

”Damn, this is so unfair!”

”Brother Lu worked his ass off to get a perfect score in every subject, but Zhao Yuan bombed his exams and still gets to be number one! This is a complete trampling of fairness! And a trampling of knowledge itself!”

”We have to protest! We need to demand an explanation from the school!”

Lu Ping also felt he had been truly wronged. He raised a hand to quiet the crowd and said with a dark expression, ”Originally, I didn’t care much about being number one. If Zhao Yuan had beaten me with real skill, I would have had nothing to say. But this time, he used despicable means to snatch first place, so I have to step up and demand justice! You all are my friends, are you willing to help me get the justice I deserve?”

His cronies were even more agitated than he was, shouting at the top of their lungs:

”We are!”

”Just tell us what to do!”

”Don’t worry, Brother Lu! We’ll always have your back. We’ll definitely help you get justice!”

Lu Ping narrowed his eyes and laid out his plan.

”Just the few of us reporting this and protesting won’t do any good. We have to blow this up! We need to get all the students to join in and condemn this injustice. Only then can we force the school to change the rankings and take Zhao Yuan down!”

”What you need to do now is get on the school forums with alternate accounts and start posting. But don’t attack Zhao Yuan right away. First, act confused. Post questions asking why two of Zhao Yuan’s grades aren’t being displayed. Wait until the students are all riled up, and then we’ll move on to the next step...”

You had to admit, Lu Ping had some cunning. His cronies followed his instructions, using their alternate accounts to post questions on the school forums, and sure enough, they attracted a lot of people to discuss the issue.

For a while, the school forums were flooded with one post after another questioning and discussing Zhao Yuan’s grades.

Seeing the time was right, Lu Ping personally joined the fray. Using an alternate account and pretending to be a third party, he posted a question: ”I saw that Lu Ping got a perfect score in every subject, so why is he ranked second? Even if Zhao Yuan got full marks on the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical Ancient Texts exams, they should be tied for first! Is there something wrong with these final exam rankings?”

The moment this post appeared, it immediately attracted a flood of replies. The majority sided with Lu Ping, believing the final exam rankings should have had them tied for first place.

Once the topic was hot enough, Lu Ping turned his head and ordered his cronies, ”Alright, now you can start posting threads questioning Zhao Yuan’s scores and the school’s unfairness!”

”Got it, Brother Lu! Just watch us. We guarantee we’ll stir up public opinion!” the cronies replied in unison, their laptops at the ready.

Soon, one post after another appeared on the school forums, questioning Zhao Yuan, questioning the school, and claiming there was a conspiracy behind the final exam rankings.

All sorts of so-called ”truths” and ”conspiracies” made many people at the school begin to wonder: Did Zhao Yuan really bomb the final exams? Did the school, in order to protect him, really throw the principle of fairness out the window and force him into first place?

Otherwise, why would Zhao Yuan’s scores for Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical Ancient Texts be dashes instead of numbers? Why would Lu Ping, with perfect scores in all subjects, only be ranked second instead of being tied for first?

The school forums were in an uproar, with everyone posting and demanding an explanation from the university administration.

Many people declared that they were ”turning from fans to anti-fans” of Zhao Yuan, and some even cried out that ”the hero has fallen.”

Faced with this situation, someone from the university finally stepped forward to offer an explanation.

This person was none other than Xiao Xianlin, a treasure of West Hua Medical University and a master of Traditional Chinese Medicine renowned both at home and abroad.

Using his own verified account, he made a post on the school forums: ”Zhao Yuan did not bomb his exams. His results make him, without a doubt, the number one student in the year! The school has not, does not, and will never trample on fairness by artificially raising or lowering a person’s rank!”

Following Xiao Xianlin’s post, more and more teachers also joined in to defend Zhao Yuan.

Liu Mingzhang joined in as well. With his famously fiery personality, he was blunt and pulled no punches in his post: ”That’s right, Lu Ping did indeed get perfect scores in all subjects, which is very impressive. But he got perfect scores because that’s the limit of his ability! The reason Zhao Yuan doesn’t have scores for Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical Ancient Texts is because he has surpassed the very standards of scoring! His exam paper can no longer be measured by points! Lu Ping’s perfect score in every subject is not even worth mentioning in front of Zhao Yuan!”

The moment these words were posted, they caused an uproar.

’Surpassed the standards of scoring?’

’An exam that can’t be measured by points?’

’A perfect score in every subject is not even worth mentioning in front of Zhao Yuan?’

’Does it have to be this exaggerated? This ridiculous?’

’What was on Zhao Yuan’s exam paper? Why was it receiving such unanimous praise from so many teachers and experts? Why was it being hyped up to such an exaggerated degree? Was his exam really that different from ours?’

Similar questions popped up in the minds of many.

Lu Ping was so enraged by Liu Mingzhang’s words that he started cursing. After forcing himself to calm down, he quickly typed out a line and replied to Liu Mingzhang’s post: ”Pics or it didn’t happen. I’m asking the teachers to release Zhao Yuan’s exam paper so we can all see if it’s really that good!”

A moment later, Liu Mingzhang made a new post.

This time, the post didn’t contain a single word—only a web address.

”What’s this now?”

The students were confused, not understanding why Liu Mingzhang would post that.

Someone with a bit more curiosity tried clicking the web address and found that what appeared on their computer screen was the current digital issue of the *Chinese Medicine* journal.

After a quick glance, they were left completely dumbfounded and screamed out in disbelief, ”HOLY SHIT, THIS CAN’T BE REAL, CAN IT?”
