BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

The Void Lightning Pool had grown eerily quiet.

After Liu Xi’s relentless cultivation and experiments, more than half of the dense lightning and thunder energy that had accumulated here over countless years had been consumed. But that terrifying power hadn’t gone to waste—thanks to the Lightning Calamity Pill, Liu Xi had successfully broken through the bottleneck of the Late 7-Star Dou Saint and firmly stabilized his strength at the Mid 8-Star Dou Saint realm.

With his Heavenly Flames tempering his Dou Qi to the utmost purity, not a trace of instability remained. Even without extensive refinement, his foundation was solid and steady. Were it not for Liu Xi intentionally suppressing his progress, he could have already pushed into the Late 8-Star Dou Saint realm.

After all, that Lightning Calamity Pill was a pinnacle-grade 9th Tier Mysterious Pill. If it had been left to mature in the Void Lightning Pool, nourished by endless lightning, it might very well have evolved into a 9th Tier Golden Pill.

Standing up slowly from his seated position, Liu Xi’s robe remained perfectly smooth, not a wrinkle in sight. He let out a long breath—and the expelled air instantly transformed into a bolt of lightning that ripped through the void.

That single breath… carried power strong enough to slay an ordinary Dou Saint.

Such was the might of a High Level Dou Saint.

His bright eyes flickered—first with streaks of Nine Mysterious Golden Lightning, then with the burning glow of azure flame. The fiery light danced like life itself, and as it faded, only a pair of deep, serene eyes remained—eyes that could pierce the fabric of heaven and earth.

Stretching his limbs slightly, Liu Xi smiled faintly. The endless torrent of power coursing through his body gave him an overwhelming sense of security—an assurance that he could split the sky with a wave, shatter the earth with a step, move mountains, drain seas, and recreate the heavens themselves.

”With my Emperor Realm soul as the core, and this terrifying Dou Qi as the blade, even Hun Tiandi or Gu Yuan would no longer be unreachable opponents,” Liu Xi said with quiet confidence.

He glanced around. Everywhere his gaze fell, the massive bolts of Black Demon Lightning retreated instinctively. Ever since Liu Xi had arrived two months ago, he had all but drained this lightning sea dry.

”I’m not such a villain,” Liu Xi chuckled. ”No need to fear me like this.”

But even lightning without sentience understood instinctively how to avoid disaster. After watching countless of their kind devoured and refined, the remaining bolts naturally gave the devourer a wide berth.

”Erlong, we’re leaving. It’s time you saw the world outside.”

His voice carried warmly through the lightning sea.

”Alright, Father!”

A playful response echoed back as a massive form emerged from the depths. The radiant golden dragon—Nine Mysterious Golden Lightning, now reborn as Erlong—had nearly regained her former might, her body glowing with dazzling arcs of golden lightning.

After losing her strength when Liu Xi drew out her origin to awaken her soul, Erlong had recovered astonishingly fast in her birthplace, nourished by endless lightning energy. Now, she had already reached the Peak 6-Star Dou Saint level. Once her power was fully restored, she would again stand as a High Level Dou Saint—a formidable ally by Liu Xi’s side.

Lightning rolled like tides beneath her. The dense Black Demon Lightning had grown pale and thin, its essence absorbed into Erlong’s rebirth and Liu Xi’s cultivation.

As the colossal dragon coiled and shimmered, its body condensed into light. When the glow faded, a little girl identical in appearance to Liu Xi appeared, her bright eyes brimming with innocent excitement at the thought of seeing the outside world for the first time.

A flash of lightning—and she was already in Liu Xi’s arms. He smiled, holding her close. Then, with a single step, his figure blurred and vanished into the distance.

Behind them, the remaining lightning sea parted obediently, the massive serpentine bolts weaving like courtiers bowing to their departing emperor.

When Liu Xi’s aura finally faded completely, the once orderly lightning once again erupted in chaos, roaring and flashing wildly as though celebrating the departure of the two troublemakers who had brought it endless torment.

If the Void Lightning Pool had a will of its own, it would surely have been singing with relief—finally rid of the gluttonous tyrant who had devoured centuries of its accumulation.

Yet that very chaos had birthed Liu Xi’s new strength—the power of a Mid 8-Star Dou Saint.

In the silent void, a blazing streak of light pierced the darkness.

Liu Xi and Erlong emerged from it, his face calm, his expression faintly warm. In just over two months, he had not only achieved a breakthrough but also gained a powerful new companion. With such strength at his side, he finally felt ready to face the looming threat of the Hun Clan, Hun Tiandi, and the terrifying Void Devouring Flame.

And now, he even had a daughter—one who, in her peak, had rivaled the Late 7-Star Dou Saint realm and now, with her soul awakened, possessed talent that stood among the world’s greatest.

’Hun Tiandi… Void Devouring Flame… and the other Heavenly Flames—Life Spirit Flame, Nine Serene Golden Ancestor Flame, Nine Serene Wind Flame, Nine Dragon Lightning Flame, Fire Mountain Rock Flame… the end of this tribulation draws near. Let it come.’

Liu Xi’s eyes shone with unshakable confidence—the kind born of overwhelming power, and of allies strong enough to change fate itself.

”Father, what’s the world outside like?” Erlong asked curiously.

Liu Xi smiled gently, his gaze distant. ”It’s… a brilliant world.”

Beast Region — Ancient Dragon Island

From ancient times to the present, the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe’s island had always been closed to outsiders. Few humans had ever set foot there—Liu Xi being one of the rare exceptions.

But today, a visitor arrived.

The guest came from the Yao Clan, one of the Four Clan Alliance. Even with that noble status, the gates of the Ancient Dragon Island remained sealed to him.

His name was Yao Yunting, a 1-Star Dou Saint and one of the Yao Clan’s elders—a man of authority and respect, rarely shown any slight within his own clan.

Today, he carried an official invitation from the Alliance, issued under the name of the Yao Clan Medicinal Ceremony, inviting the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe’s ruler to attend.

Of course, ”attending the ceremony” was just an excuse—what they truly wanted was an alliance.

The Hun Clan’s terrifying power had shaken the Four Clans. To fight all four at once and still not lose ground—it was horrifying. The Xiao Clan had already been destroyed by the Hun Clan, while the Ling Clan and Shi Clan had fallen in secret. Judging from current signs, the Hun Clan had indeed grown capable of such devastation.

Worse still, the Hun Clan’s sinister plan had targeted the younger generation of the four clans, nearly severing their future. If the truth hadn’t been uncovered in time, the entire Alliance might already have fallen into ruin.

Thus, allies were more crucial than ever. The Yao Clan Medicinal Ceremony served as the perfect pretext for the Four Clans to meet with the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe—to reconnect old ties and discuss how to weather the Hun Clan’s impending calamity.

Carrying the combined sincerity of all four clans, Yao Yunting came personally to the Beast Region… only to discover he couldn’t even set foot on the Ancient Dragon Island.
