BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Within the tranquil room, threads of sandalwood incense curled into the air. Liu Xi sat cross-legged atop a stone bed, slowly raising his hand as a droplet of golden liquid hovered above his palm, radiating mysterious waves of energy.

His gaze locked onto the Demon Saint’s blood essence, a faint hunger flickering in his eyes. The desire was instinctive—every cell in his body screamed the same command: devour it, and become stronger.

Across countless reincarnations, Liu Xi had absorbed the Bodhisattva Heart, the Old Dragon Emperor’s blood, and even the purest energy from the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree itself. Only then had he managed to break through to a 3-Star Dou Saint, barely at the early stage.

Despite Liu Xi’s exceptional talent and the perfection of his Qi Method, the pace of cultivation inevitably slowed after stepping into the Dou Saint Realm. Half a year had passed, and he had only reached the mid-stage of 3-Star Dou Saint. The late stage was still far from reach.

Now, with this Demon Saint’s Blood Essence, everything would change.

Liu Xi smiled faintly. ”Half-Step Dou Di blood... even more divine than the Old Dragon Emperor’s essence. Let’s see how much further you can push me!”

As his voice fell, he opened his mouth and swallowed the golden liquid whole. Instantly, an immense wave of energy burst forth like a raging sea, surging uncontrollably within his body.

Liu Xi’s expression turned solemn as his fingers wove complex seals, guarding his consciousness and entering full cultivation. The Azure Flame erupted, spreading through his meridians and forming a vast network that reinforced his body, preventing the rampaging energy from wreaking havoc.

The fiery web spun continuously, refining the violent energy into its purest form before releasing it gradually into Liu Xi’s limbs and bones.

His body, like a sponge, greedily absorbed the purified energy. This energy wasn’t merely force—it carried an essence akin to a living catalyst. The moment it touched his flesh and bone, it fused into them, awakening his body’s dormant potential.

The sensation was intoxicating. His body entered an unprecedented state of vitality. His energy absorption, conversion, and circulation speed all increased severalfold.

’So this is the secret behind the might of the ancient bloodlines...’ Liu Xi mused. ’The so-called bloodline power is just the concentration of this ”activation factor.” The purer the bloodline, the denser the factor, and the more terrifying the potential.’

He realized that when these activation factors were fully expended, even the most gifted ancient being would return to its normal potential—just as the legends said.

No wonder the Hun Clan’s Void Devouring Flame had once devoured countless ancient bloodlines to sustain its own lineage. These activation factors were what truly prolonged vitality and power.

Returning to focus, Liu Xi suppressed his thoughts. The Demon Saint’s blood was terrifyingly potent—not a diluted fragment, but the complete essence. Its energy could easily tear apart a 9-Star Dou Zun, and even a Half Saint would struggle to contain it.

But Liu Xi was no ordinary man. As a 3-Star Dou Saint, his body was as strong as a top-ranked Magical Beast. He met the explosive force calmly, the Azure Flame shrouding him like a gentle mist as he absorbed the divine essence with methodical precision.

The active energy coursed through his body, and for the first time, Liu Xi felt a strange sense of euphoria. His meridians pulsed with power; the flow of Dou Qi increased threefold, and every heartbeat drew in torrents of energy that refined into his Dou Qi sea.

Each inch of flesh shimmered with divine brilliance, expanding and contracting rhythmically like breathing. With every ”inhale,” his body devoured vast quantities of energy; with every ”exhale,” his strength soared.

As the process continued, the entire room filled with a faint mist of energy, pure and luminous. It radiated outward in rings from Liu Xi, drawn back in with every breath, forming a constant, cyclical flow.

This lasted for over a month. During that time, the air outside the chamber was saturated with overwhelming pressure. No one below the Dou Saint level could even approach.

Then suddenly—boom!

A terrifying ripple erupted from within, sweeping outward like a storm. In the blink of an eye, the entire Underground Serene Snake Network was blanketed by it. The ripples tore through space itself, draining the surrounding heavens of their energy before falling silent once more.

For a long moment, the world stilled. Then, as the emptiness refilled, countless strong cultivators across the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe felt their hearts quake in awe and fear beneath the crushing pressure.

Yet, despite the chaos such a surge should have caused, the tribe remained eerily calm. The reason was simple—Qing Lin’s authority now reigned supreme.

Moments later, Qing Lin and Xiao Yixian, both sensing the phenomenon, rushed to the sealed chamber.

The door opened. Liu Xi emerged in dark robes, aura perfectly restrained, a faint smile curling on his lips. His mood was radiant.

The Demon Saint’s Blood Essence truly lived up to its legend. Not only had it elevated his innate talent, but even his bloodline had subtly evolved. Complete transformation would come only after reaching higher realms—but for now, his progress was astonishing.

His cultivation had soared past the mid-stage of 3-Star Dou Saint, reaching the 4-Star Dou Saint level in a single leap. The difference in strength between lower and mid-tier Saints was vast—and Liu Xi now stood proudly among the mid-tier elite.

This power was enough. To aid Zi Yan and face the Three Dragon Kings of the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe, all of whom possessed bloodlines strong enough to rival 4-Star Saints, Liu Xi now had the confidence to suppress any who opposed them.

Only the North Dragon King worried him—should that man devour the Western and Southern Dragon Kings, his strength would reach the peak of 6-Star Dou Saint. That would demand even greater preparation.

As Liu Xi stepped forward, both Qing Lin and Xiao Yixian bowed slightly. He smiled warmly.

”Not bad,” he said. ”Qing Lin, you’ve reached the High Level Half Saint realm. Before long, you’ll be able to challenge the Dou Saint threshold.”

He turned toward Xiao Yixian. ”And you—word is you’ve found a new poison?”

Xiao Yixian nodded, her eyes bright with excitement. ”Yes. I discovered a strange toxin in the Sky Quiet Poison Code. It ranks ninth among all poisons—not the deadliest, but perfectly suited for me. Once refined, my strength will rise dramatically.”

She paused briefly before adding, ”But the ingredients are rare. I’ll need more time—and many more materials.”

Liu Xi’s smile deepened. ’Perfect. With her Woeful Poison Body and this new poison, her combat strength will skyrocket.’

His heart stirred with anticipation. ”Good. Gather what you need. Once refined, your poison will shake the Central Plains itself.”
