BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Liu Xi stood atop the mountain peak, gazing out over the vast desert below. Countless people had wandered into the region in a daze and would leave in the same confusion — not a single one had seen the true form of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame, even after escaping from the flame space.

Xiao Yixian and Qing Lin, both Dou Saint–level experts, hid quietly among the Half Saint and lower-ranked crowd. For them, slipping out of the flame space unnoticed was simplicity itself.

As the tide of heaven and earth receded, the heavens trembled. The spatial passage leading to the flame space began to collapse — that milky-white halo shrank rapidly until it vanished entirely. From this moment on, only Liu Xi, who controlled the Refining Sky Ancient Formation, could enter or exit the realm.

The younger generation of all the ancient clans was trapped within. The Dou Qi Continent… was destined to change.

Liu Xi exhaled lightly and raised his head, his expression filled with resolve. ”It’s not necessarily a bad thing,” he murmured. ”At least the ancient clans will finally see the Hun Clan’s demonic face for what it truly is.”

With a sweep of his sleeve, he turned and walked away. ”It’s time to collect my harvest.”

Back beneath the volcano, every few meters stood a blazing humanoid figure suspended in midair. Those trapped within the flames were the strong ones ensnared in illusions — currently being transformed by the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

When the transformation was complete, they would become Liu Xi’s most loyal guards — his Flame Slaves.

At the very center lay that pure, flawless, and breathtaking lotus flame. Its blood-colored veins pulsed faintly within the molten magma, exuding a strange, captivating charm.

Though the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame retained abundant spiritual rhythm, its consciousness had been taken away by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint — allowing Liu Xi to control it effortlessly through his Soul Dominion.

At a motion of his hand, Ah Long and Ah Huang immediately dragged the half-dead Hun Miesheng forward.

As Hun Miesheng approached, Liu Xi’s sharp senses caught the lotus flame’s trembling quicken — emanating a hint of hunger and desire.

Liu Xi smiled faintly and waved his hand. Ah Long and Ah Huang hurled Hun Miesheng directly into the giant lotus. The milky-white flames coiled upward, swallowing him whole.

”Ahhh—!”

The agony woke Hun Miesheng. His shrill screams echoed as pitch-black flames erupted violently from his body.

”Void Devouring Flame.”

Liu Xi’s eyes narrowed. That black, abyssal flame unleashed terrifying devouring power, clashing fiercely against the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame’s force of purification.

Even with his 5-Star Dou Saint foundation, the Void Devouring Flame’s sub flame was incredibly potent. The two Heavenly Flames locked in a deadly stalemate, causing the lotus flame to tremble in fury.

A smile tugged at Liu Xi’s lips. His fingers flashed through a sequence of seals, channeling the Refining Sky Ancient Formation to empower the lotus flame. Instantly, the tide turned — the milky-white flame surged forward, forcing the black fire back into Hun Miesheng’s body before refining both him and his flame together.

His screams weakened, then faded entirely.

When it ended, Hun Miesheng’s body had vanished — his Dou Qi, soul, and the Void Devouring Flame itself had been condensed into a pitch-black orb the size of a human head.

It was dark and endless, like a miniature black hole capable of devouring everything.

Before long, the lotus flame absorbed the orb completely. Strands of black lines and veins appeared across its milky-pink surface — and it quivered with unrestrained joy.

One Hun Miesheng and one Void Devouring Flame had greatly strengthened it. The power of purification now carried a trace of devouring might as well.

This was Liu Xi’s true moment of harvest. He ordered Ah Long and Ah Huang to guard the area closely — no disturbance was allowed.

Both puppets possessed rudimentary intelligence. They crossed their arms, standing like two vigilant sentinels beside him.

Liu Xi took out the Nine Ying Yellow Spring Pill and held it in his palm. Then, without hesitation, he leapt directly into the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

At first, the flame felt gentle and soothing, its energy flowing through him and cleansing his body. But when it was guided into his spiritual space and encountered Liu Xi’s soul essence, the resonance between two Heavenly Flames made the lotus flame violently restless.

Liu Xi crushed the jade bottle in his hand. A wave of extreme cold burst forth — even within this sea of magma, it made him shiver. He pressed the Nine Ying Yellow Spring Pill to his forehead, letting it dissolve into frigid mist that seeped into his soul.

The sudden chill drenched the raging lotus flame like an icy downpour.

In that instant, Liu Xi’s soul avatar moved. The azure flame surged forth, stepping forward and crashing headlong into the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

He immediately felt its terrifying might — a scorching intensity no weaker than his own Azure Flame, perhaps even stronger.

The purifying power gnawed at him endlessly, stripping him apart piece by piece. The weaker he grew, the more violently the lotus flame burned.

Refusing to yield, Liu Xi activated his Soul Dominion to suppress its instinctive resistance while his Azure Flame devoured portions of it again and again.

Inside his spiritual world, azure and milky-white flames intertwined like two feral dragons, biting and tearing at each other’s flesh. Each mouthful of burning essence was swallowed whole without pause — brutal, savage, and primal.

Such was the nature of Heavenly Flames — the victor devoured all, the loser ceased to exist. And Liu Xi had no intention of becoming prey.

He didn’t know how long the struggle lasted. Exhaustion dulled his senses, but sheer will kept him devouring without rest.

At last, Liu Xi prevailed. His preparation had paid off — unlike the unready lotus flame, he held every advantage.

Three measures ensured his victory.

First, the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame’s violent consciousness had already been taken by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint.

Second, his Soul Dominion suppressed its remaining instincts.

Third, the Nine Ying Yellow Spring Pill weakened its internal strength.

When he finally swallowed the last wisp of its flame, joy surged through him. Deep within, his long-dormant spiritual essence stirred — the threshold of an unfathomable realm was near.

’Not yet… it’s still not stable enough. I can raise the success rate higher.’

In the sea of magma, Liu Xi’s eyes snapped open, blazing with determination. His gaze swept the surroundings, locking onto his next targets.

Huo Yao, Yao Tian, Huo Xuan, Huo Zhi, and Gu Xun’er were drawn to him, eyes lifeless — their souls trapped in illusion, not yet fully transformed into Flame Slaves.

Their respective Heavenly Flames resisted refinement, but that wouldn’t last.

With lightning speed, Liu Xi struck, extracting their flames — the Flaming Cloud Water Flame, Turtle Spirit Earthly Flame, Eight Wasteland Destruction Flame, Red Lotus Karma Flame, and Gold Emperor Incinerating Heavenly Flame.

Even these mighty flames trembled before him.

Each still carried its former master’s spiritual imprint, yet with the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame’s purifying might, Liu Xi erased those marks with ease.

Opening his mouth, he drew in all five flame essences. The azure-white flame within him flared violently, engulfing them and dragging them into his spiritual world.

Now, they were no longer threats — merely nourishment. With wave after wave of azure-white radiance, Liu Xi cleansed them completely, their resistance melting away.

Devouring them was as effortless as a tiger consuming lambs. His Dou Qi soared, his spiritual essence erupted, surging toward that mysterious, boundless realm.

The azure flames surrounding his body gradually solidified, forming into a crystalline cocoon.

Within the heart of the flame space, an ultimate transformation was underway.
