BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

At the borders of the Beast Region, dark clouds rolled endlessly above the skies while the land below was a stretch of jagged mountains. Between heaven and earth, thick black mist churned, emanating a sinister chill. Within that dense fog, experts of the Hall of Souls were entrenched.

Over a month ago, the Hall of Souls’ First Tianzun had perished in the Underground Serene Snake Network. Naturally, Hun Miesheng could not stand by and do nothing. As the Hall Master of the Hall of Souls, he needed to uphold its prestige—many were already waiting to mock the Hall of Souls. Yet he could not rashly declare war on the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe, or rather, the entire Beast Region. Even the Hun Clan would not allow him to. Their millennia-long grand plan was already within reach.

In the eyes of the outside world, the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe had always been synonymous with mystery—ancient dragons that could roam freely through the Void, immeasurably powerful and elusive. Now, they had unified the Beast Region with thunderous speed. The once-vast territory had fallen within a short span of time. Even the Heaven Demon Phoenix Tribe and the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe had both submitted. Such a display of power was enough to make anyone tremble.

High above the sky, a black-robed figure hovered quietly. Boundless black mist surged behind him, making him appear like an ancient demon god. The surrounding energy of heaven and earth swirled violently around him as the center. Below, the Beast Region appeared undefended—but if one looked closer, it was as if a slumbering ancient beast had opened its scarlet eyes, maw wide open, waiting for prey to step into its trap.

Hun Miesheng had come, yet the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe paid him no heed, treating this mighty 5-Star Dou Saint as if he didn’t exist. It was like throwing a punch into the air—Hun Miesheng was caught in an awkward position, neither advancing nor retreating. He wished someone would come out to fight him, just so this meaningless standoff could end. Under the black robe, his expression was as dark as ink. This situation made him feel like a fool performing on a stage.

”Damnable Ancient Void Dragons…” he muttered coldly. But this was destined to be a futile confrontation.

Meanwhile—

In a vast canyon deep within the northwestern region of the Central Plains, the terrain stretched for thousands of feet. Its depth was unfathomable, shrouded in endless black mist and chilling wind. Along the sheer cliff walls, life could not exist; not a blade of grass grew here. This was a dead land—an absolute forbidden zone for living beings. No one came here. Even the most avaricious mercenaries wouldn’t bother searching for treasure in such a place.

But if one ventured deeper and deeper, through layers of thick fog, a massive spatial barrier would eventually appear at the bottom of the canyon. Within that barrier stood an enormous black palace complex, like a sleeping beast lurking in the abyss. The palaces loomed ominously, half-hidden in darkness. At this moment, several black-robed figures emerged from within, their figures flickering amidst the mist as they muttered curses.

”Damn it! Ever since the Human Hall was destroyed and its soul essence stolen, our workload has doubled!”

”Quiet! At least the rewards are richer now. Before, even triple the work wouldn’t earn these resources!”

”The Gu Clan’s suppression grows harsher. Many Protectors and Elders who went out never returned. Even among the Honored Elders, the losses have been severe. We should stay cautious…”

Their complaints were cut short as the sky above the canyon suddenly split open. From the rift, another black-robed figure stepped forth, exuding a terrifying, suffocating aura.

”Who goes there!” one of the sentries barked sharply, his tone fierce but laced with unease.

The newcomer ignored them. His feet pressed lightly against the air as he descended, stopping above the palace complex. The earlier shout had drawn even more black-robed figures out from their chambers. Among them, a late-stage 8-Star Dou Zun—an expert of the Tianzun rank—stepped forward, lifting his head with a solemn expression. Even he felt a chilling oppression radiating from this intruder.

”Who are you?” the man demanded coldly. ”Do you not know this place is the Earth Hall—one of the Tiangang Halls of the Hall of Souls? Even an ordinary Dou Saint would not dare trespass here!”

”Heh… this is exactly the place I came for.”

The intruder’s hoarse voice carried a mocking undertone. As he spoke, his robe fluttered without wind. From beneath it stretched a pale, slender hand—youthful and flawless, far too young for such power.

That hand moved lazily, and the world seemed to shudder. It became a devouring vortex, drawing in all the energy between heaven and earth. In an instant, a colossal hand of energy—thousands of feet wide—took form, pressing down like a heavenly punishment.

The Saint’s might spread forth. The very pressure froze every black-robed member in place, their faces twisting in horror. Despair filled their eyes.

”D-Dou Saint…” someone whispered in terror.

Boom!

The giant palm crashed down like divine judgment. The entire space shattered inch by inch. In the blink of an eye, all the Protectors, Elders, and even the Tianzun were pulverized—annihilated before they could even scream.

The colossal hand continued to descend, smashing into the black palace complex. The sinister halls, the unyielding chains, all collapsed and disintegrated in an instant. The entire base was swallowed by ruin.

”Bastard! Who dares challenge the Hall of Souls?! This Hall Master will make you die without a burial!”

From the ruins, several powerful auras erupted. Among them, the strongest reached the 3-Star Dou Saint level—The Deputy Hall Master of the Hall of Souls.

”The Hall Master? If it’s not Hun Miesheng, then it must be the Deputy Hall Master. In that case, you can die too.”

The intruder’s tone was calm, indifferent. Even the might of the 3-Star Dou Saint couldn’t stir his emotions.

In the next instant, his body flickered and tore through the Dou Qi storm, appearing directly before the Deputy Hall Master. A fist wreathed in cyan flame slammed forward, burning through all defensive barriers and protective energy.

With a second punch, dark energy burst forth like magma, crushing the man’s bones and scorching his flesh. The Deputy Hall Master convulsed violently, unable to resist. Another blow shattered his neck. The final punch crushed his heart.

At the brink of death, the Deputy Hall Master glimpsed the face beneath the intruder’s black robe—young, calm, and utterly merciless. His last words trembled from his lips:

”Impossible…”

Seeing their leader fall, the remaining Elders and Tianzun panicked. Even the 3-Star Dou Saint was dead—what could they possibly do? They scattered frantically in all directions.

The black-robed man casually retrieved the Deputy Hall Master’s corpse, then stepped forward. Dou Qi burst forth like a raging tide, expanding into ripples that spread in all directions. The ripples became roaring waves, chasing down the fleeing Hall of Souls members and crushing them to pulp.

Blood rained from the sky, staining the abyssal canyon. Amid the gloom and mist, the entire scene resembled the realm of death itself.

Liu Xi’s Dou Qi surged like a flood, sweeping through every corner of the ruins. With his powerful Spiritual Perception, not a single trace of life could escape him. Every hidden presence, every fleeing breath, was obliterated.

Moments later, silence returned. The Earth Hall was no more.
