BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

The moment Zi Yan’s words fell, the entire hall trembled. Submission—or death. That was the only choice left. Before them stood reality itself: Yao Ming, stronger than any of them, was now a groveling dog; the First Tianzun, a 2-Star Dou Saint, had been slapped half to death.

Even though these beast tribe leaders had four 1-Star Dou Saints and seven Half Saints among them, the powerhouses Zi Yan brought were far more terrifying—and that was without even counting Zi Yan herself, whose strength was unfathomable.

The grand hall fell into suffocating silence, a heavy darkness settling like the chill before dawn—long, oppressive, and utterly dead.

Heads bowed. Not a single voice rose in defiance. Not one dared refuse.

Zi Yan tilted her chin slightly, a faint trace of ridicule flashing across her eyes. Then her gaze shifted sideways, falling on the First Tianzun’s limp form. Her jade hand turned over and clenched lightly.

Ripples of space surged forth at her command, forming a spinning millstone of compressed force around the Tianzun.

”Ahhh—!”

A bloodcurdling scream tore through the air. Bones shattered, flesh twisted. Within moments, the First Tianzun’s body was nothing more than a grotesque paste of blood and flesh—right before the horrified eyes of every tribe leader present.

He had tried to resist, of course, but his Dou Qi had long since been sealed. Even the resilient body of a Dou Saint was crushed like rotten cloth under Zi Yan’s spatial grinding disk.

Thus, a dignified 2-Star Dou Saint perished—just like that.

Cold sweat dripped down the necks of every onlooker. Fear gripped their hearts. The message was clear: hesitate again, and they would share the same fate.

A sudden bang! echoed through the hall. The sound jolted everyone, making them jump in fright and instinctively turn toward its source.

It was Wang Yi, Tribe Leader of the Silver Moon Wolf Tribe. He had slammed the table aside and strode forward, his face pale yet resolute—like a prisoner marching toward his execution, carrying unshakable resolve.

The others froze. None had expected Wang Yi to be the first to stand up. Secretly, they prayed he might bargain for better terms—for all of them.

Reaching Zi Yan, Wang Yi stopped, head bowed. Taking a deep breath, he fell to one knee with a resounding thud.

”Wang Yi greets the Dragon Emperor. From this day forth, the Silver Moon Wolf Tribe shall be your most loyal followers! Wherever the Dragon Emperor points, there shall our fangs strike!”

The other tribe leaders stared blankly.

Golden Flame Saint Lion Tribe Leader: ”...”

Wind Demon Tiger Tribe Leader: ”...”

Sky Luan Tribe Leader: ”...”

Sky Eagle Tribe Leader: ”...”

...

The Silver Moon Wolves truly knew how to survive.

”The Golden Flame Saint Lion Tribe greets the Dragon Emperor. From this day forward, our tribe follows your command!”

”The Wind Demon Tiger Tribe greets the Dragon Emperor. Wherever you lead, we shall go!”

And then came one after another—leaders kneeling like a wave. Once the first domino fell, the rest followed, for none dared be the next example.

Zi Yan lifted her gaze toward Liu Xi, who was standing among the Ancient Void Dragon entourage. Her violet eyes blinked playfully, as if to say, See? Just like you said—kill one to scare the rest.

Liu Xi smiled faintly. Indeed, had these tribes been scattered across the vast Beast Region, it would have taken countless battles to subdue them. But gathered here, the moment the First Tianzun died, the outcome was inevitable.

From the instant they attended this ”feast,” their fates had been sealed. The First Tianzun had merely been the perfect tool for it.

A 2-Star Dou Saint was hardly worth Liu Xi’s notice. Even as a puppet, he would have been meaningless. Better to make an example—kill the chicken to warn the monkeys.

With a subtle thought, Liu Xi released an invisible surge of Spiritual Power. It brushed across the Tianzun’s mangled corpse, quietly extracting the man’s lingering soul before anyone could sense it.

As expected of the Hall of Souls, his spirit was powerful—a Heaven Realm Soul, brimming with condensed essence from countless devoured lives.

Liu Xi’s mind stirred. With absolute control over souls, he suppressed and captured it effortlessly. Without a body, even a Heaven Realm soul was defenseless before him.

In an instant, he claimed dominion over the Tianzun’s soul and stored it within his sleeve.

Liu Xi’s own soul was already at the Late Heaven Realm—just one step from perfection. Yet that final step required time, experience, and countless essences to refine. To cross it quickly, he would need to strip the Hall of Souls bare.

Now, a perfect opportunity had arrived. With this soul, the mysteries within Tiangang Hall’s twin sub-halls—Heaven and Earth—would no longer be secrets to him.

The benefits of enhanced Spiritual Power were immeasurable; even in terms of combat strength, it was worth every effort. And to refine the Nine Ying Yellow Spring Pill needed to tame the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame, a profound soul realm was indispensable.

For now, no one noticed that the First Tianzun’s soul had already been taken.

Zi Yan looked over the kneeling crowd. Her delicate face was calm, yet her eyes shimmered with the satisfaction of dominance.

”This emperor has seen your loyalty,” she said lightly. ”Your first order is simple…”

She turned slightly, raising a slender finger toward the remaining Elders of the Hall of Souls. The terror in their eyes was palpable—the strongest among them were mere Dou Zuns, trembling beneath the suffocating pressure of so many Dou Saints.

”...Clean them out.”

”W-wait!”

Cries of panic and despair erupted from the black-robed Elders, who began babbling pleas and threats alike. They had thought this would be a leisurely soul-harvesting trip. Never did they imagine they had walked into their own deaths.

”Attack!”

Wang Yi was the first to move. Despite kneeling moments ago, he was a genuine 1-Star Dou Saint. His palm swept forth, distorting the very air—three Dou Zuns were crushed to pulp before they could scream.

Seeing this, the other tribe leaders cursed and rushed forward, unwilling to be outdone. ”That bastard stole our kills!”

”Shameless cur!”

Soon, the hall erupted into chaos. Half Saints and Dou Saints alike unleashed their fury upon the helpless Dou Zuns. Screams echoed as bodies fell, the air thick with blood and energy.

Zi Yan watched, expression serene, and nodded in satisfaction.

In the days that followed, the true unification of the Beast Region began. There were no longer three great beast tribes—only one supreme ruler: the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe.

The Heaven Demon Phoenix Tribe, the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe, and countless hidden bloodline families all bowed their heads. No power in the Beast Region dared oppose the dragons again.

Resources were consolidated. Powerhouses were gathered. Talented beasts were granted resources and training priority. Under Zi Yan’s command, legions of beast warriors were forged—still in their infancy, but growing swiftly.

Yet the aftermath of that bloody banquet soon rippled outward. The sudden death of the First Tianzun in the Underground Serene Snake Network sent shockwaves through the Hall of Souls. Furious, they demanded the culprit be handed over—or face war.

The loss of a 2-Star Dou Saint was no small matter. Though the Hall of Souls did not wish for all-out conflict, they needed to save face. If they allowed such a blow to pass unanswered, how could the so-called mightiest faction of the Central Plains stand proud before others?

Thus, Hun Miesheng, the Hall Master himself, personally appeared at the edge of the Beast Region—too cautious to step within, yet determined to deliver pressure.

At the same time, Liu Xi silently departed from the Beast Region, carrying the soul of the slain First Tianzun with him.

His destination—unknown.
