BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

The crowd had truly witnessed a grand performance. The Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame had ascended to its peak power, only to encounter the reappearing Pure Lotus Demon Saint—and in the end, both perished together in brilliant firelight. The two existences that had once shaken the Dou Qi Continent and made even the ancient clans bow their heads had now completely vanished between heaven and earth.

That meant only one thing: the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame was now an empty vessel—its consciousness erased, leaving behind only instinct. Whoever claimed it first could mold it into whatever form they wished.

Every gaze burned scarlet with greed. The young man before them—though terrifying when possessed by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint—was now merely a Half Saint. Who would care about him anymore?

The Pill Tower’s Old Ancestor smiled gently, his childlike face calm. ”Young friend, please don’t jest. You brought back the Pure Lotus Demon Saint and prevented a catastrophe across the continent. Your contribution is boundless. Allow me to guarantee your safety.”

Hun Mo exchanged a glance with Hun Miesheng before stepping forward, a mocking smile twisting his wrinkled face. ”The Pure Lotus Demon Saint truly lived up to his name. Even in death, he left a safeguard—taking the rampaging Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame with him. Now that the flame has no master, it belongs to fate. We old fossils can’t possibly compete with the younger generation, can we?”

The Pill Tower’s Old Ancestor frowned but nodded slightly. The threat of the flame was gone—if someone could subdue it, so be it.

Hun Miesheng’s eyes gleamed. In a flash, his figure darted forth, streaking toward the floating lotus in the sky—a pristine pink-white blossom veined with faint lines of blood. Just as the Demon Saint had described—pure, flawless, beautiful beyond words. But beneath that divine surface lurked infinite killing intent and destruction.

”Hun Miesheng, damn you!”

”Don’t let the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame fall into the Hall of Souls’ hands!”

”Who doesn’t want it for themselves!?”

Shouts erupted one after another. With Hun Miesheng leading the charge, countless figures surged forward, rushing greedily toward the center.

Liu Xi’s faint smile disappeared. None of them cared about him; why would they? Who would fear the words of a mere Half Saint? The air whistled with countless auras closing in. Even from afar, he could see Hun Miesheng’s cruel grin.

”Heh.”

Liu Xi’s sleeve flicked. Two black shadows burst forth like lightning. In the blink of an eye, they appeared before Hun Miesheng—one to his left, one to his right—both striking simultaneously.

Boom! Boom!

The fists shattered space itself. The sound echoed like rolling thunder as both blows landed squarely on Hun Miesheng’s face.

The mighty Hall Master of Hall of Souls—charging forward like a storm—suddenly froze, his skull caving in under the dual impact. His eyes went blank as his body shot backward faster than he’d come, smashing into the magma sea below.

Splash—splash—splash!

His body skipped across the molten surface like a stone skimming water, sending waves of lava skyward before finally sinking beneath.

Everything happened in an instant. Gu Nanhai, Yao Wangui, Huo Yao, and Hun Feng all halted midair, stunned. They turned toward the two towering figures now flanking Liu Xi like twin guardians.

Each was clad in black armor, faces hidden beneath helmets, only their cold, merciless eyes visible. The aura they exuded was suffocating—pure killing intent that seemed to swallow the world.

Gu Nanhai trembled slightly. ”6-Star Dou Saint… battle puppets!”

Gasps rippled through the crowd. A 6-Star Dou Saint was a powerhouse even among the ancient clans—whether alive or dead, such beings were revered. To refine their corpses into puppets… that was unthinkable.

Liu Xi’s tone was calm but carried unquestionable dominance. ”You don’t cry until you see the coffin. I told you—I’m taking this Heavenly Flame. If you won’t hand over yours, don’t blame me for being impolite.”

He floated toward the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. Spiritual Power surged from his soul and entwined with the flame—Soul Dominion activated.

Without its consciousness, the Heavenly Flame did not resist. It merged with his Spiritual Power easily, forming a link almost instantly.

The control was seamless—Liu Xi could feel it. The Pure Lotus Demon Saint’s skill was truly at the peak of perfection. Even when erasing the flame’s will, he had preserved every trace of its spiritual essence. The result was a Heavenly Flame both potent and pristine, alive yet docile.

Liu Xi lifted the lotus into his palm. It burned like a miniature sun—hot, brilliant, divine. Guided by the Saint’s legacy, he felt the Refining Sky Ancient Formation awaken beneath his touch.

The magma sea trembled. The sky above blazed.

Two fading arrays flared back to life—threads of fire interweaving into vast sigils that sealed the heavens and earth once more. The gathered energy reformed, locking the entire flame space.

Liu Xi had become its new master.

Only then did everyone feel true fear. Memories of being crushed beneath the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame’s power flooded back—helpless, despairing.

Gu Nanhai hesitated, his face uncertain. ”Young friend… please, calm yourself. You’ve inherited the Demon Saint’s legacy and gained the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. Truly, you are blessed by fate. Please—release the formation. We will leave at once.”

Huo Yao nodded quickly, his tone uneasy. ”Indeed. My clan bears no ill will. Allow us to depart peacefully.” His heart pounded—he, Huo Xuan, and Huo Zhi all carried Heavenly Flames. If trapped here, the Yan Clan would suffer irreparable loss.

Yao Wangui’s eyes, however, glimmered with greed as he stared at the lotus. But Hun Miesheng’s grisly fate still lingered fresh in his mind—and those two puppets hadn’t moved an inch. He forced a smile. ”Of course, if you are willing to part with the flame, the Yao Clan will welcome you as an honored guest. High-tier pills, endless resources… imagine the benefits.”

Gu Nanhai and Huo Yao both turned sharply to glare at him—terrified that his words might provoke Liu Xi.

Hun Mo’s gaze stayed fixed on the two puppets, unwilling to yield. ”Boy, I come from the Hun Clan. Join us—bring the Heavenly Flame, and the Hun Clan will make you one of our own. The benefits are endless!”

The Pill Tower’s Old Ancestor remained calm. As long as the new holder of the flame wasn’t a lunatic bent on destruction, he would not interfere.

Liu Xi stood in the center of blazing light, holding the flame aloft. Spiritual Power surged like a tidal wave as he refined control over the Refining Sky Ancient Formation.

Armed with complete inheritance and a living test ground, his understanding of the formation deepened rapidly. Though his soul had not yet reached the Emperor Realm, controlling seventy percent of the formation’s power was enough.

His lips curved into a cold smile. ”I said it before—this is a robbery.”

His voice rang out like thunder.

”Hand over all your Heavenly Flames.”
