Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2742: Chapter 2743: Not a Fetus

”What exactly are you talking about? Who in the palace doesn’t know I can’t get pregnant? Ruozhu, I’ve always regarded you as a younger generation in my family. What rumors have you heard that made you misunderstand me?” Prince Shangzi asked, looking aggrieved.

Bai Ruozhu walked toward her step by step. A look of panic flashed across her eyes. She wasn’t afraid of dying herself, but she worried about her child.

Even though she quickly hid her emotions, a test like this told it all.

”You originally couldn’t get pregnant, but I helped you discover the problem with the bracelet and prescribed medicine to help adjust your body. It’s not surprising that you’re pregnant.” Bai Ruozhu sneered, ”I helped you one way or another, didn’t I? Is this how you repay me?”

Empress Shangzi showed a guilty expression; inherently, she wasn’t bad.

”You need to realize that anyone who can threaten you with the child is not to be trusted. Rather than being controlled by such a person, seek our help instead.” Bai Ruozhu subtly signaled others to check around.

The others moved, Empress Shangzi felt a bit anxious, and suddenly shouted: ”You can help me for a while, but can you help me forever? You’re leaving soon, what will I do?”

She seemed to have exhausted all her energy; with that shout, she collapsed into a chair like a deflated ball.

Everyone searched every corner of the Main Hall but found nothing. Gao Zhou anxiously rushed over to interrogate Empress Shangzi, just then a palace maid announced from outside: ”The Emperor is here!”

The Emperor hurried over upon hearing the report from below, holding his belly as he quickly came, saying, ”What’s happening here? I’m afraid it’s all a misunderstanding. Let’s sit down and talk it over slowly.”

”Talk, my ass! My wife has been captured, I don’t have time to waste with all of you!” Gao Zhou said, grabbing Empress Shangzi’s throat, ”You’re afraid Song Yi will harm your child, so you helped him cover up. Fine, if you don’t speak, I will abort your child right now! You should know I’m also a doctor, can press several acupuncture points on you to cause a miscarriage.”

The Emperor’s face turned pale, ”Child? Shangzi, are you pregnant?”

Empress Shangzi didn’t dare to look at him, lowered her head in silence, which counted as admitting it.

Actually, the Emperor hadn’t touched Empress Shangzi for a long time. From the poisoning and fake death of the Second Prince to many subsequent events in the palace, the Emperor had been in no mood, later fearing he was being controlled by Poisonous Insects, he dared not touch her, afraid of hurting her.

After the Emperor became pregnant, psychological and physiological changes occurred, and these past few months he hadn’t touched any woman.

When he heard that Empress Shangzi was pregnant, he felt entirely uneasy.

The Emperor’s body wobbled, suddenly he clutched his belly, frowning, ”My stomach hurts a bit, what, what’s going on?”

”You’re too agitated, it moved the Fetal Qi,” Bai Ruozhu approached and pressed several acupoints on him, fed a pill, ”Go back and rest, regain your strength, so Elder Xu Chenzi can detoxify you.”

The nearby palace maid also persuaded, the Emperor looked disappointedly at Empress Shangzi, sighed, and left.

Empress Shangzi couldn’t help but cry out loud, ”What did I do wrong? How could I know things would become like this? I have had no child all my life, I just want him to survive, I just want to have my own child.”

Gao Zhou gritted his teeth and tightened his grip, ”Speak or not!”

”I really don’t know, he just directed me but didn’t tell me where the person was hidden.” Empress Shangzi finally spoke the truth.

”Father, don’t make things difficult for her, she probably really doesn’t know.” Bai Ruozhu hurriedly advised.

Gao Zhou released his grip, anxiously pacing back and forth in the Main Hall.

”It’s not here?” She asked Jiang Yichun.

”Yes, it’s here.” Jiang Yichun suddenly drew his sword and thrust it toward the floor, ”Dig down and see.”

Gao Zhou and the others came to help, but Bai Ruozhu started pacing around there, believing it shouldn’t be underground, otherwise Yuan Licheng and Fo Lanying wouldn’t have missed it.

Where could it be?

She suddenly looked up, the beam?

She jumped onto the beam. The thick beam could indeed accommodate a person, but it was empty at the moment.

Both above and below were empty, then where could it be?

Could it be that Song Yi has a space and the person was pulled into his space?

She shook her head, not so far-fetched, surely she was missing something.

She crouched down, reached out and tapped on the beam.

Thud, thud!

Her eyes widened, ”It’s hollow inside!”

Below, Gao Zhou and Jiang Yichun immediately jumped up, fortunately, the beam in the Main Hall was long enough. Otherwise, they would’ve collapsed it.

Gao Zhou attempted to tap it, confirming it was empty inside, and couldn’t help but get excited.

”Chushuang, are you in there?” He anxiously shouted.

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth twitched a bit, probably men who fall in love become fools. If she could respond, she would’ve cried for help already.

Jiang Yichun knocked around, quickly marking a spot, ”It should be here, but don’t know if there’s a mechanism, we can’t recklessly break it open.”

”I’ll take a look, one of you come down,” Fo Lanying said.

Bai Ruozhu jumped down; Fo Lanying went over, used the Mechanical Puppet to inspect, not long after, found the mechanism above, with a click the beam opened, revealing Chushuang quietly lying.

Gao Zhou carried her out, hurriedly took her pulse, found she was merely in a state of unconsciousness, quickly helped untie the acupoint.

Empress Shangzi saw she was fine, breathed a great sigh of relief but quietly shed tears, holding her stomach.

Bai Ruozhu walked over and patted her shoulder, ”I’ll let Xiaomao take a look at you, don’t worry.”

Xiaomao was let out, hovered at Empress Shangzi’s brow for a moment, quickly shared its findings with Bai Ruozhu.

”It’s not a baby in your stomach, but the Poisonous Insect mother.” Bai Ruozhu considered for a while before telling the truth. Though the truth was harsh, it was better than being deceived forever.

”No, impossible!” Empress Shangzi cried out in panic, ”The doctor checked several times and confirmed it’s a fetus, I can even feel its movements.”

”The Poisonous Insect mother also moves. Initially, Prince Wen De was controlled by the Poisonous Insect, it wasn’t his own will, you both interacted, leading that Poisonous Insect mother to enter your body and create the illusion of pregnancy.” Bai Ruozhu sighed, ”Did Song Yi threaten you, say he placed Poisonous Insects in your stomach, and if controlled you’d get abdominal pain?”

Empress Shangzi nodded in shock.

”He can control the Poisonous Insect mother.” Bai Ruozhu sighed again, ”If it’s allowed to grow, when you give birth, that’s when the Poisonous Insect mother will harm people, possibly even produce many Poisonous Insects, hurting many people in the Palace; do you want that?”

”I, I just want a child, do I have any fault? Why treat me like this?” Empress Shangzi cried bitterly.

Bai Ruozhu wiped her tears with a handkerchief, ”You and the Emperor can still have children, but if the Poisonous Insect mother grows, even if you don’t die, you’ll be no longer able to have children.”
