Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The comrades waiting outside for the two to return heard the news and realized that the treasures Cyril had hidden here wouldn’t be touched tonight. They all felt it was a pity.

However, Ye Jian said, ”What’s inside might not necessarily be illegally obtained relics, our only goal is one thing. It would be great to make Cyril spit blood, but since we can’t now, let’s just blow it up.”

”Such a pity! I was thinking of taking a few pieces back to our country.” T6 shook his head, feeling very disappointed. After seeing cultural relics stolen from Chinese territories being illegally auctioned last time, T6 had been hoping to help recover any Chinese cultural artifacts and bring them back to China.

He had come with great hopes, and now, knowing that there was no way to unlock and check, his face showed his disappointment as he took a deep breath, a fierce look flashing in his eyes, ”Then let’s get started, no more dilly-dallying.”

It’s not only T6 who was disappointed; Ye Jian felt the same. But what could be done?

Xia Jinyuan, as the team captain, understood his comrades’ feelings at this moment very well. They had come here excited at the thought of recovering some cultural relics. Reality, however, had prevented them from doing so.

After a few seconds of silence, he said to Ye Jian, who was still staring at the steel door, ”Set up the explosives both inside and outside, and later in the small chamber outside too. Since we can’t see what exactly is inside, it’s better to destroy this place.”

Ye Jian, who had gathered her thoughts, nodded, ”Mm.”

Having said that, they put down their backpacks and quickly got to work.

Inside the backpacks were time bombs provided by Mr. Will, extremely powerful, just three of which could level this place.

They quickly set all the time bombs in place. On their way back, they took up a lot of time, having to avoid both Cyril’s sentries and the soldiers brought by Noah. The two alternated their movements, front and back, until they emerged, drenched in sweat.

Noah’s soldiers were still keeping watch nearby; they needed to watch if anyone would come out from inside, if those coming out were carrying auctioned famous paintings, and to keep a vigilant eye on the surroundings to avoid being discovered.

Inside the auction house, White Crane and G3, who had taken out two guards and disguised themselves, kept a tight watch on their surroundings until the lights in the auction hall flickered three times. Unable to maintain contact with the outside, the two knew it was their cue to act.

One famous painting had already been auctioned off, and the second one hadn’t been brought to the stage yet. After the auction hall’s lights flickered three times, they suddenly went out, followed immediately by the sound of gunfire.

Upon hearing the gunshots, Noah’s heart suddenly tightened, and then he heard Mr. Will exclaim in surprise, ”Is someone trying to steal the famous paintings?”

Steal... the paintings?

Noah’s heart tightened and a look of joy flashed across his face as he whispered, ”Let’s move, get out of here.”

As the gunshots rang out again, sounding as if they were to his right and then as if they were to his left, Noah didn’t wait to fully assess the situation before Mr. Will exclaimed again, ”God, someone is running towards the stage!”

Noah, already on his feet, did not wait for Mr. Will to say anything more. With his expression tense, he disregarded the warning and crouched down heading towards the guard he had been watching earlier. Passing a few seats, he spoke a few words, and several more people stood up.

The suddenly darkened auction hall wasn’t chaotic; Cyril’s people constantly shouted loudly for everyone to stay calm, sit tight, and not to move, assuring that they would find the two who had fired the shots. White Crane and G3 caused more chaos by firing towards the auction stage again. As the gunshots continued, many people began to grow restless.

Meanwhile, Cyril, who was sitting calmly backstage, actually started to laugh. Mr. Will was indeed not wrong; someone had come to steal the paintings. Did someone really think they could steal a painting from him?
