Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Two men walked in together, holding in their hands a little boy’s White Crane; they looked to the man on the left, who was in fact the male homeowner, while the shorter man was a friend.

The male homeowner, discovering strangers in his own home, was just about to ask who these people were when he heard his wife’s sobbing. His complexion changed, and he rushed toward the room inside, but then suddenly stopped outside the door without entering.

”Mr. Will!” he said happily, his voice filled with respect, ”God, it’s been such a long time… Why do I smell the scent of blood?”

The homeowner stepped into the room lit only by a small table lamp, where he saw his child, Abei, lying on the bed, pale and motionless. He could not finish his sentence as the air grew deathly silent.

Minutes later, the homeowner exploded, ”Didn’t you say you’d protect him well? What happened to protecting him well? Ah! Why, why is my child gone! Why!”

The man grabbed Mr. Will by the collar and questioned him, one after another. At this point, he no longer saw Mr. Will as a benefactor but as an enemy who had killed his child.

Xia Jinyuan whispered to Ye Jian, ”Let’s go outside first and wait for him to deal with things.”

Mr. Will had brought them here to show Xia Jinyuan the extent of his commitment to their cooperation.

White Crane glanced at the young boy he was still holding, ”Should we hand him over?”

”Keep holding him,” Xia Jinyuan said, eyeing the boy who had not yet regained consciousness, noting that White Crane must have been quite harsh with his approach.

There was no way to not be harsh; the boy was not of age yet and didn’t blink an eye in killing someone, firing two shots and taking a life instantly, so naturally, White Crane did not show mercy.

From inside came the sounds of a one-sided fight, and Ye Jian, recognizing it as punches being thrown viciously on another person, couldn’t help but cautiously ask Xia Jinyuan beside her, ”Should we go in and stand guard? Could they… kill Mr. Will?”

Xia Jinyuan shook his head and, taking Ye Jian by the shoulders, stood in the not so bright sunshine, ”No need, if Mr. Will dared to bring Abei here himself, then he must have the courage to bear the consequences. Abei was their child, and now that Abei is gone, Mr. Will needs to take full responsibility.”

They had suggested to follow closely as backup but were secretly signaled by Abei to refuse, and Mr. Will hesitated for a few seconds before ultimately choosing to refuse.

Ultimately, their decision led to Abei’s death at the hands of a boy’s pistol.

The shorter man inside pulled the homeowner away, then took Mr. Will to the back of the bungalow and asked him seriously what had happened and why Abei, who had gone out in the morning, was suddenly dead.

With his face severely punched and without hitting back, Mr. Will wiped the blood at the corner of his mouth and answered the shorter man, ”Cyril’s men threatened Abei, and after Abei escaped, he met with me. A kid playing by the roadside suddenly started shooting at Abei…”

As he explained, the sadness that seeped out of his words made the shorter man reluctant to scold him, especially upon learning that Abei had led Cyril’s men to surround Mr. Will, the shorter man instantly became silent.

”This is not your fault, not your fault…” the shorter man gave Mr. Will a great salute of the local ethnic groups in Molaban, then step by step returned to a bungalow not much different in layout from his own home.

About ten minutes later, the young boy that White Crane had been holding finally woke up. He was a boy who had undergone special training, and the moment he opened his eyes, they burst forth a fierce light, crystal-clear and tough as glass, as he roared at White Crane and even tried to kick towards White Crane’s crotch.
