Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Though the man was dead, the traces he left behind wouldn’t fade so swiftly. To know a person’s background, start by investigating the places he had been to and the people he had met. It wouldn’t take long to dig out some information about him.

Cyril didn’t need much information, he just needed to know if the man had any accomplices.

If there were accomplices, take them out directly.

No accomplices?

Could there be none?

The brooding Cyril certainly didn’t believe that.

He took a fierce draw from the cigar in his hand, as if only the rich tobacco flavor could suppress the fiery rage bubbling up inside him.

On this end, Xia Jinyuan and his eight men had successfully diverted the disaster elsewhere and swiftly exited the auction. They sped back to the hotel, and their next mission was a significant one: to rescue the scientist’s wife, Alice Cheng.

Despite some issues with Alice Cheng’s identity, she was the scientist’s wife, and the Snow Region Brigade’s Special Forces had come specifically to rescue her. Therefore, no matter what, they had to save Alice Cheng.

”Alice Cheng is hidden in this area...” Back at the hotel, V8 immediately brought out the hotel’s fire safety layout and used a pencil to indicate the potential areas where Alice Cheng could be hidden, ”The thirteenth floor, where Noah and his group were staying. Among those, the four rooms near the fire exits on both sides have been quiet with no one coming in or out, making it very likely that Alice Cheng is in one of those rooms.”

”By now, Cyril must have discovered the clues we intentionally left behind. Given his caution, he will surely follow them, and sooner or later, he’ll trace them to the hotel.”

”A guy who prefers to solve problems with violence might just charge into the hotel with his men. We could take advantage of...”

Before Xia Jinyuan could finish his thought, a ”ding-dong”-text message alert came from his phone. He picked up the phone that was on the edge of the table. His eyes narrowed slightly, ”Cyril is moving faster than we anticipated.”

Though the remark was somewhat disjointed, his comrades, attuned to silent cooperation, revealed identically subtle smiles. Ye Jian quietly picked up the glass of water by her side and took several small sips, her gaze lowered.

That was indeed great news; Cyril and Noah clashing… It seemed Mr. Will must have exerted significant effort to handle things smoothly.

Captain Xia had said that Mr. Will would certainly facilitate this matter, and it turned out to be true.

After finishing her water, Ye Jian held the glass, her dark eyes brimming with a light smile, fixating on the man who was beginning to lay out the next step of their operation plan. Admiration swelled deeply in her gaze.

Cyril was already en route to the hotel, and at the same time, Noah was also on his way back to the hotel. Things were getting interesting; if the two groups encountered each other, they were likely to come to blows directly, giving Xia Jinyuan’s team enough time to infiltrate the thirteenth floor and rescue Alice Cheng.

In Molaban, Cyril had his own extensive intelligence network. Once he gave the order to investigate the Caucasian’s identity and his whereabouts, coupled with Mr. Will deliberately leaking the auction of the paintings, Cyril quickly found the information he needed about some suspicious Caucasians and their movements.

Why did Cyril trust Mr. Will’s words so much? It was simple: Mr. Will told him that these Caucasians might have found out that the paintings were with him and intended to approach him. Furthermore, Mr. Will informed Cyril that his family had received threats from the Caucasians. Cyril’s investigation confirmed this, and he quickly believed Mr. Will.

He even attributed the death of the bald man to Noah.
