Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

G3 and Z7 were waiting at the hotel entrance early on, with Ye Jian being the first to get off the car, followed by Xia Jinyuan, and then K7.

After getting out of the car, Xia Jinyuan opened the trunk of the taxi and took out the folded wheelchair, pushing it to stand before the two comrades who were helping T6 out of the car.

T6, once again swallowing his pride, settled into the wheelchair, to the boisterous laughter of G3 and Z7, who erupted with a ”haha”.

T6 felt that the bond with his comrades had reached its end.

This time G3 took over pushing the wheelchair. After taking charge, he whispered something into T6’s ear, which left T6 twisting his face into a foolish grin.

G3 said, ”Brother, welcome back to the squad!”

Z7 and White Crane extended their hands and shook T6’s hand briefly, then patted his shoulder. No words were necessary; everything was understood. Sometimes, it’s just one action or one phrase that says it all.

V8 was absent. Xia Jinyuan informed Mr. Will that V8 had gone out to scout the situation, thereby Noah also knew that one of the mercenaries had not returned.

The group of seven moving from the hotel entrance to the elevator was closely surveilled by Noah, who saw everything clearly. They all entered Z7’s room; with eight people across four rooms, only Z7 and T6’s room was the safest, secured technically by Z7. Noah could see them enter the room and even their precise positions within. But what he was watching were scenes dynamically processed by Z7 based on the real footage.

K7 carefully placed the medical supplies he brought back from the hospital on the living room table, glanced in the direction where T6 was seated, and silently went to stand by his comrade, which was also captured in Noah’s view.

Next, Noah watched as the eight mercenaries decided to celebrate with drinks—red wine, champagne, whiskey—they had it all. Eventually, all seven, including the injured T6, drank and swayed drunkenly.

After two hours of vigilance, Noah massaged his brow and instructed those around him, ”Keep a close watch on them; tell me when they wake up.”

A gaggle of drunkards, an utter headache for him to behold.

With the scene frozen there, Xia Jinyuan pulled out a tissue to wipe off some spilled drink from his body and inquired of his comrades left in the hotel, ”Any movement from those targets here at the hotel?”

Z7 spread his hands and said, ”Nothing! These guys are on high alert. I’ve been observing them for several days and haven’t seen them slip up once.”

Hearing Z7’s response, Xia Jinyuan simply remarked, ”We’ll wait. The more careful they are, the more significant their issue is. Our main task now is to keep them under strict surveillance.”

He then relayed the intelligence Mr. Will had brought about the situation outside to his comrades, causing the faces of G3 and the others to darken. Xia Jinyuan hadn’t specified over the phone why T6 had been discharged. Only now they realized how complex the external situation was, and how brazen Cyril had become.

”Molaban’s criminal underworld is infamous worldwide. If the government makes a move on the first day of the month, they’d dare go further on the tenth or the fifteenth. If the government touches them a little, they’d dare to retaliate tenfold,” T6 shared what he had learned from the taxi driver, adding, ”Cyril is one of Molaban’s notorious figures, and I have no doubt about his ability to trace us.”

”Staying in the hospital was safer; moving back to the hotel with Noah’s men around was even safer.”

Z7 frowned, ”If Cyril really does trace us, Noah can choose to be a spectator without having to intervene.”
