Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

T6’s injuries were all on the upper body, so as long as he walked at a slower pace, there wouldn’t be a problem. He was well aware of his condition and knew walking was definitely possible, but the speed shouldn’t be too fast.

After walking slowly for a few steps and then turning a circle in the hospital room, he looked good—his steps were steady, complexion normal, breathing stable. Everything indicated that he was indeed able to get out of bed and walk, meaning he could be discharged.

For them, being able to walk was the criterion for discharge.

Being injured and spending days in the hospital just eating and sleeping was too luxurious for them. As long as they could stand up and walk, there would be no problems whatsoever.

Outside the ward, a patient wearing a mask walked by. He seemed to casually turn his head for a glance inside the room, gripping the listening device in his palm as he passed by the ward again.

A cold look flashed through Ye Jian’s eyes as she kept watch on the outside from the corners of her eyes.

After walking around, T6 didn’t overexert himself. He sat back on the bed and told Ye Jian, who was worried about him, with a solemn face, ”We are brothers who would trade lives for each other. The situation is complicated now, and I don’t want to drag you all down because of my injuries, nor do I want to waste time together idly.”

Ye Jian didn’t say anything more. To her comrades with whom she’d trade lives, if she had been in T6’s place, she would have made the same choice, ”Mhm, I got it. You should get some rest.”

She helped T6 lie back down slowly, glanced at the unfinished IV drip, and couldn’t help but smirk, ”You’re still as impulsive as before, not even checking if the IV is finished before you pull out the needle.”

Assisting K7 to sit down on the bed, she said, ”The flies outside are pretty annoying. I might as well leave the door open, let them have their fill of looking.”

All the necessary talking and planning had been done; let them look however they wanted.

T6 was always someone who enjoyed watching the excitement and didn’t mind the trouble, so hearing this, he said cheerfully, ”Why don’t we play a trick on him?”

”No tricks,” Ye Jian smiled as she declined, ”Let’s not have any unnecessary complications.”

Having said that, she brazenly opened the ward door.

Before even getting back to the bed, she heard her man’s voice get louder as he walked towards the room, clearly speaking on purpose for the guy still roaming the hallway to hear.

”Discharged this afternoon. You guys wait for us quietly at the hotel. That’s right! I’m sick of the hospital. Once we’re at the hotel, we can even drink together!”

The patrolling whistle heard this and loosened the grip in his pocket.

Discharged and heading to a hotel?

A look of joy crossed his face as he coughed quietly, leaning on the handrails and shuffling step by step past Xia Jinyuan.

This bunch had had enough of the hospital, and so had he.

T6 looked at Xia Jinyuan walking in and then at the hefty item in his hands, and the corners of his mouth twitched fiercely.

A wheelchair!

He’d brought in a wheelchair!

Ye Jian turned her head, trying to hide the uncontainable laughter on her face from the grimacing T6.

Xia Jinyuan replied nonchalantly, ”It’s a good thing; I’m sure you won’t refuse it. Of course, you can’t refuse it because it’s not ’borrowed’—I just bought it from the hospital.”

The nurse who came in with him was a local Molaban girl with brown-black hair and high cheekbones, and she was quite beautiful.

T6, his mouth twitching, glared at Xia Jinyuan. The next second, he wolf-whistled at the nurse, ”Hey beautiful, we meet again.”

The attractive nurse raised an eyebrow, ”Yes, we meet again. But I think you’ll be leaving soon, so get discharged quickly!”

It was everything but saying ”get out” of the hospital.

Feigning regret, T6 sighed deeply, ”Ah, I didn’t expect to be discharged so soon. Beautiful, let’s exchange numbers, and we can keep in touch by phone later on.”
