Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Without lingering any longer, the three of them returned to the place where Abei had been shot and died, and rendezvoused with G3 and Z7, after which the five of them split into two taxis and headed back to the hotel.

After arriving at the hotel, it wasn’t until they entered the room T6 had been waiting in that K7 and V8, who were already there, saw their comrades return from the mission. Relief was clearly visible on their faces.

As soon as the door closed, T6 immediately asked, ”What exactly happened? We just saw the report on TV; the train station was in chaos, with countless casualties.”

Z7, who already knew the full story, spoke in a grave tone without letting Xia Jinyuan open his mouth, ”A mole by Mr. Will’s side was killed by Cyril, and Cyril knows Mr. Will. Mr. Will is planning to collaborate with us, whether it’s to take out Cyril or Noah is yet to be decided.”

”The situation is escalating and becoming increasingly grim for us. Cyril has already taken notice of us. King Q, we need to have a thorough discussion and come up with a plan to divert Cyril’s attention.”

”We can’t just sit around and wait to be eliminated anymore, we need to take the initiative and figure out a way to rattle the guy in the hotel, make him believe Cyril secretly killed his man. That way, we’ll have a chance to rescue Alice Cheng and strike a fatal blow to Noah.”

After all, Cyril wasn’t their target in this operation, Noah was.

”Should we inform Mr. Will before we act? What is he doing now? Why didn’t he come back with you?” T6 looked at Xia Jinyuan and asked.

Xia Jinyuan, who was twisting the cap off a bottle of mineral water, glanced up to see T6 looking at him, handed the bottle to Ye Jian after opening it, and answered coolly, ”He’s dealing with some things and will come to the hotel later. Let’s make our own plans first, everybody sit closer. Let’s hear any ideas you might have.”

Hearing this, the comrades gathered around. Z7, with a somber expression, was the first to offer his idea, ”Based on what’s been said, since Cyril has noticed us already, I think we should take preemptive action and try to get Cyril under control first, then see if we can get any clues from him.”

He shifted the focus to Cyril, who posed a danger to them.

Ye Jian didn’t quite agree. Just as she was about to speak, she heard V8 say in a deep voice, ”Your idea coincides with mine. Instead of waiting for him to come to us, it’s better to eliminate a known threat first, to avoid any unexpected complications.”

”This time, if we act, we must do it swiftly and cleanly, not like before where we ended up inadvertently benefiting others.”

The reference was to the difficult rescue of Alice Cheng, who ultimately fell into Noah’s hands.

This time T6 didn’t speak first, indicating he may have different opinions from his two comrades.

G3 said, ”I have a thought, let me know if it sounds feasible. Cyril is already suspicious of us, right? So he will surely soon become aware of our hotel. Hasn’t there been no movement at the hotel side all this time?”

After pausing and looking around at everyone, seeing a flicker of interest in Xia Jinyuan’s eyes, he continued slowly, ”Could we perhaps lure Cyril here and let him clash with Noah right in the hotel, and then we reap the benefits after their conflict?”

”This aligns with the initial plan by King Q, with the only difference being that we need to lure Cyril to the hotel.”

Among the views of the three comrades, Ye Jian was more inclined to agree with G3. Luring them to the hotel indeed seemed like a good strategy.
