Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Commander Xia glanced at Xia Jinyuan, who was in a hurry to leave and didn’t want to stay by his father’s side for another minute. He drank his tea unhurriedly. Oh, his cup was empty. He needed to refill it.

Lieutenant Colonel Xia, who had always been tactful, didn’t need his father’s instructions. He hurriedly picked up his cup and poured more tea for Commander Xia. Then, he poured a cup of tea for Major General Yang as well. He smiled and said, ”You guys aren’t so petty that you won’t give me five days of leave. I really need to rest. If not, I’m afraid that I’ll suffer from the sequela of post-war trauma and it’ll affect my future development.

”You two probably can’t bear to see me sick and unable to carry out missions in the future, right?”

Major General Yang took a sip of tea and asked calmly, ”You only need five days of leave?”

”15 days is fine too. Let’s see how you guys wanna arrange it for me.”

Who was Xia Jinyuan? When he heard that there was a chance, he felt that he could rest for a while more. Of course, he had to fight for it!

Commander Xia took a sip of tea and finally opened his mouth. ”I’ll give you ten days of leave. Arrange it well. No matter what, you have to drop by home. As for the others, you can arrange it yourself.”

”Yes, Commander!” Xia Jinyuan hurriedly saluted and rushed out of the military. When he reached the door, he turned his head and smiled at Commander Xia. ”Commander, the tea is hot. Stop your hand from trembling or you’ll hurt yourself.”

After he finished speaking, he opened the door and left.

Xia Jinyuan stayed in the military for an hour, including the oral report time. His heart was already at the National Science University. His body was just waiting to join the heart.

Commander Xia put down his cup of tea and scolded him jokingly, ”This brat needs a beating.” After he finished speaking, he and Major General Yang laughed loudly.

Wasn’t Xia Jinyuan asking for a beating?

But they wouldn’t beat him up. Someone else would beat him up. They would just wait for the good news.

After returning to the old residence, Xia Jinyuan planned to spend the night with the old master and the old madam. Unexpectedly… an hour after returning home, he was chased out of the house by the two elderly. They even arranged for a driver to send him to the airport.

The old madam stood outside the car and smiled at the grandson she liked. ”Little Ye will graduate in a year. Whether you can get married the moment she graduates depends on how capable you are.”

She had been looking forward to the young couple’s reunion. Xia Jinyuan should hurry up and look for his future wife. Why should he stay at home?

Xia Jinyuan, who was heading to the airport, contacted Ye Jian first. Her cell phone was turned off, so he called the school to ask around. He found out that the woman he loved was accompanying her sick comrade in the hospital. After getting off the plane at 1:00 am, Xia Jinyuan called the hospital directly.

He could finally meet the woman he had been missing day and night!

It was already 2:00 am when he arrived at the hospital. Xia Jinyuan showed his identification document and found the floor and ward number of the student, He Jing. He almost jogged into the elevator.

As the numbers on the elevator changed, Xia Jinyuan felt his heart beating faster and faster. He was getting more and more nervous. Even his palms were sweating.

Soon, soon, soon…

He stared at the changing numbers of the elevator. Ye Jian, who was sleeping on the bed, rolled over a few times and got up from the bed. She planned to walk outside.

She probably slept too much during the day and couldn’t sleep at night.

The elevator doors opened just as the ward door opened. One of them walked toward the ward while the other carefully closed the door and prepared to leave.

Xia Jinyuan, who was standing at the front of the corridor, stopped in his tracks. He had already seen the person he had been missing day and night.

Ye Jian, who had closed the door, stopped in her action of closing the door. She felt a gaze on her. It was deep and familiar.

She slowly turned around until the most familiar figure appeared in her eyes.

At that moment, time stopped.
