Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Although she was a little muddle-headed from the fever, He Jing still knew that Ye Jian had been taking care of her. Xu Wen, who seemed to have noticed something, looked up. He Jing shushed her softly and asked Xu Wen to lower her voice so that she wouldn’t wake Ye Jian up.

Ye Jian had always been vigilant. Even the slightest movement could wake her up. As the captain, she was even more tired than the students these few days. She didn’t rest at all and came to the hospital to take care of He Jing. The green shadow under Ye Jian’s eyes was so heavy that He Jing’s heart ached.

Xu Wen nodded and stood up. She mouthed, ”I’ll call the doctor. Lie down.”

She tiptoed out of the ward. Ye Jian, who didn’t wake up, continued to sleep. She only woke up when the doctor pushed the door open.

Seeing the doctor enter, Ye Jian stood up from the bed. She looked at He Jing and saw that her cheeks were a little rosy. Even her eyes were clearer. She knew that He Jing had recovered.

After all, Ye Jian had been in medical school before, so she more or less knew a little.

Seeing that Ye Jian was woken up, Xu Wen leaned over and asked in a low voice, ”Did you sleep well?”

”I slept well. I’m energetic,” Ye Jian replied softly so that she wouldn’t disturb the doctor.

The doctor listened to He Jing’s heart and lungs. Then, he smiled and said, ”It’s good to be young. After a few bottles of IV drip and a good sleep, your condition has improved greatly. Continue the IV drip this afternoon and stay in the hospital for three days. I’ll then examine you again to see if you can be discharged.”

As the doctor spoke, he wrote furiously in the medical record book. When He Jing heard that she would be hospitalized for three days, she immediately started calculating. Fortunately, this wouldn’t affect her classes.

The doctor gave some instructions and left with the nurse. After closing the door, Xu Wen poured a glass of water for each He Jing and Ye Jian. She said, ”What do you want to eat? I’ll go downstairs to buy it. You can only eat light food. I think plain porridge will do.”

This was directed at He Jing.

She said to Ye Jian, ”Do you want something spicy?”

”I’ll have the same. If I eat anything else, she’ll be tempted,” Ye Jian said with a smile. There was no food in the ward now, but He Jing was already craving for good food.

The two girls stayed in the hospital for two days. Xu Wen was so relaxed that she didn’t want to return to the military school.

Commander Xia called Ye Jian a few times consecutively, but her cell phone was turned off. He only knew that Ye Jian had gone to the hospital to take care of the sick students when he contacted the department.

After hanging up, Major General Yang, who was also in the office, smiled and said, ”It doesn’t matter if they can’t contact each other. After Ah Yuan comes back and reports to the military, he’ll immediately fly straight to the National Science University to look for Ye Jian.”

Although Major General Yang didn’t expose the relationship between the two young people, he had already seen everything. There was nothing that made him happier than this couple.

They were a strong combination. They complemented each other. Not only did they not allow themselves to fall behind just because of their relationship, but they were also able to improve together and climb the peak. Major General Yang felt that if he stopped such a relationship, he would become a heinous sinner.

It was already 1:30 pm on the 5th of May. Q King, who had left for almost a year and a half, was almost at the military headquarters.

Xia Jinyuan arrived at the capital city at 1:00 am on the 5th of May. He got off the plane and stood in this familiar land that he loved deeply. Even someone as calm as him felt his heart flutter.

After hundreds of days and nights, he had finally returned.

Familiar buildings, familiar crowds, familiar cars, familiar environment… Even the blue sky was so familiar. He came back alive to feel the ’familiarity’ of everything in the country.
