Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

What Ye Jian said had already touched on the flaws in the command core. It was to find effective ways and means to carry out the command correctly. Just from this outdoor survival training, she had thought of a solution. This required not only experience but also sharp observation.

Song Zhiqiu fell silent because of Ye Jian’s words. After a while, he said, ”We’ve been classmates for three years, but you’ve left us too far behind. For instance, now, I’m only thinking about how to let the students complete the mission you set. I don’t want anything else to happen.

”As for you, you’ve already thought of an effective way and solution regarding the command system. Ye Jian, you’ve become the core figure of our class, of the school, and even the entire National Science University. You really didn’t rely on luck. You relied entirely on yourself.

”Strategy, military, tactical… Are you already involved in them?” If not, how could you think of a solution immediately after looking at the situation?

Ye Jian was stunned. She didn’t expect Song Zhiqiu to be so sharp. That made sense. Song Zhiqiu had always been at the top of the class. His intelligence, physical fitness, discipline, comprehension, and other aspects were all outstanding. If he said that, he should have gone to the systematic auditorium and learned on his own like her.

Ye Jian nodded slightly. She didn’t deny it. She smiled and said, ”At the start of my first year, someone told me that if I had extra time, I could go and understand strategy. In the first half of the first year, I started exposing myself to it and started understanding it. As long as I had time, I would study it. At night, I’d take an hour to learn on my own. Now, I’m studying tactics.

”I plan to understand more about tactics in my fourth year. After I enter the military unit, I can start learning more systematically from strategy. Now, I’m just exposing myself to these things. I don’t have any specializations.”

…

From the start of her first year, she planned to understand strategy, battle studies, and tactics. However, she still thought that she only understood a little. Well… Even if she only understood a little, it was already impressive!

Song Zhiqiu sized up Ye Jian from the corner of his eyes. He saw that her facial expression was so calm that it seemed like she was only talking about the most ordinary thing. Song Zhiqiu, who had fallen silent, held his forehead and sighed with a gentle smile. ”Hard work can be rewarded. I’ve seen the best example in you.

”Ye Jian, your goal is really strong. Technically speaking, most women are emotional. They’re easily influenced by their personal emotions.

”As for you, I don’t see any emotions in you. You’re ten thousand times more rational than a boy.

”It’s not easy to take down these three subjects. We usually have our own professional classes, training, and so on. But you persevere and take an hour to study every day. Ye Jian, only you’re able to do such a thing in the entire class.”

Strategy was the study of the overall guiding laws of military struggle. It occupied a primary position in military academics and could directly affect operational science and tactics.

Campaign science was a discipline that studied the laws of battle and guided the practice of battle. It occupied the middle position between strategic science and tactical science.

For instance, the most famous ’Sun Tzu’s Soldier Technique’ contained many rules used in battles.

The country’s military school was formed and developed during the long-term revolutionary wars. Since Ye Jian understood battle science, it meant that she had basically understood all the large and small battles that happened in the country’s recent history.
