Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Xu Lin didn’t think that the punishment was terrifying. With a serious expression, he lowered his arm and said, ”I do deserve to be punished! I accept all punishments!”

”Yes, go to the side and rest.” Ye Jian nodded slightly and said to the comrades standing behind him, ”Help him. Massage his legs and arms. They look very stiff.”

Were they stiff?

When they massaged his limbs, they were as hard as rocks. They were so hard that they didn’t have any elasticity.

None of the students felt that it was inappropriate for Xu Lin to be punished when he went back. The punishment was not just a simple punishment. It was to let Xu Lin remember this mistake and never make the same mistake again.

The two students above started to descend. With Xu Lin’s accident, Song Zhiqiu stared at them as they buckled the buffer. From time to time, he would remind them, ”Buckle up the buffer! Don’t be anxious!”

Due to the previous accident, everyone was tense and afraid that something would happen again as they watched their comrades come down.

Ye Jian raised her head and looked at the sky. The sky was still bright, but it wasn’t as cold as before. The wind had stopped, and the trees were quiet. Only they were there.

The weather forecast said that it would start to drizzle in the forest on the 2nd of May. It looked like it was going to rain.

The last two students came down safely. The students who had been raising their necks and staring at them heaved a sigh of relief. Some students told them about the accident that happened to Xu Lin just now. Hong Wenlin and Zhu Xuan, who didn’t know anything, were shocked too.

The other students took off the escape ropes, untied them, and put them away. Hong Wenlin and Zhu Xuan ran to Xu Lin who was still getting his muscles massaged to ask about the situation. They were only relieved when they knew that he was safe.

It was all thanks to Captain Ye Jian. If not, the consequences would’ve been unimaginable.

The escape ropes were untied one by one and put away. The 15 students took a few minutes to adjust and make use of the time to walk toward the village where they would be sleeping tonight.

Due to the need to exert strength in their upper limbs and the nervousness in their hearts, their arms were so sore that it was a little difficult for them to raise them. In the end, everyone helped each other. They had to race against time to reach the village before dark.

The village wasn’t big. If it wasn’t for the high-voltage wire fence on the mountain, the students would have thought that the villagers in the village were living in isolation.

It was already 5:30 pm. If one were standing on the mountain, one would still be able to see daylight. However, now that the students had entered the forest, the sky was already dark and the figures were blurred.

”Each group of five will hold on to the escape rope. We can’t be too far apart!”

The vice-captain, Song Zhiqiu, started to organize the descent. In order to prevent the students from being separated, he took out the escape rope and tied it to the backpacks of the students in front and behind. The three students in the middle used buffers to fasten it. In this way, the five of them were like grasshoppers on a rope. Everyone would follow them down the mountain.

Teamwork like this was something that they would definitely encounter during outdoor survival training. If someone was fast, the others would be fast. If someone was slow, the others would be slow. If a student fell, they would be able to react quickly and stabilize themselves.

The tacit understanding was not formed in a day or two. It was formed through years of accumulation, training, cooperation, hardships, and happiness.

When they reached the foot of the mountain, a heavy rain suddenly came and drenched the students who were caught off guard. Ye Jian was sending their latest location to the command center for the third-year outdoor training when the heavy rain suddenly exploded above her head with a thunderclap. Her heart tightened for some reason.
