Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian said to the male students, ”Hold on to the escape rope tightly and go in one direction. Try your best to close the two ends together. I’ll climb up and tie it tightly for Xu Lin.”

”I’ll go up,” Song Zhiqiu said in a low voice.

”No, you’re a man. You’re heavier than me,” Ye Jian replied. She gestured for the male students to hurry up and put their escape ropes together.

Xu Wen was so nervous that she grabbed He Jing’s wrist tightly with one hand. Her teeth were chattering. ”You really can’t afford to be distracted! Don’t fall, don’t fall!”

”It’s good that you know. Shut up and stop talking! Our captain is preparing to go up and save them.” He Jing didn’t even feel how much pain her wrist was in when Xu Wen grabbed it. She was so nervous that she didn’t know how painful it was.

The students on the other end of the escape rope gathered around Liu Yang and the other male students. Xu Lin, whose forehead was dripping with sweat, tried countless times, but he still couldn’t successfully buckle the buffer onto the escape rope that was so tight. His body seemed to be about to break.

Ye Jian, who was below, said to him calmly, ”Xu Lin, relax your body. I’ll come over now. Don’t worry, it’s fine. The tighter it is around you, the safer it is.

That was true. The tighter it was, the more Xu Lin wouldn’t fall.

At least, they didn’t have to worry about Xu Lin falling down. At least Xu Lin was safe now.

”Hold on tight. Don’t let go!”

The students who were holding onto the escape rope reminded each other. The two male students who hadn’t come down knew that something had happened to Xu Lin. The slope on their side was too steep. They couldn’t see where Xu Lin was hanging at all. The two of them didn’t ask further. Their backs were tense as they waited for their comrades below to save Xu Lin.

Ye Jian stepped on the shoulders of two male students who were squatting down. Then, she pulled the escape rope tightly with both hands and hooked her body up. She twisted her legs and pulled the escape rope onto her calves. The students who looked up saw that Ye Jian was as agile as a monkey. She didn’t need any help as she climbed up quickly.

”Amazing, Captain!”

A student who was dumbfounded couldn’t help but sigh. He was the only one who voiced out, but he spoke the thoughts of all the students who were watching.

Ye Jian was really amazing!

”Tighten, tighten!”

”Move closer to Xu Lin. Slow down!”

As Ye Jian kept climbing up and got closer and closer to Xu Lin, the students below were once again nervous.

When Xu Lin saw Ye Jian, he was drenched in cold sweat. The moment he saw her, it was as if he had found someone to rely on. He felt safe.

Ye Jian wrapped the escape rope around her right calf. She grabbed the escape rope tightly with her right hand and reached out her left hand to Xu Lin. ”Give me the buffer in your hand. Don’t tense your body too much. It’ll strain your muscles.”

”Okay, okay… Be careful.” Xu Lin passed the buffer that looked like it had been fished out of water to Ye Jian. His fingers were trembling because he used too much strength.

Ye Jian was very calm. She pulled the buffer forcefully onto the escape rope that was wrapped around Xu Neighbor. With a click, Ye Jian heaved a sigh of relief. ”Alright, Xu Lin, I’ll ask them to let go of you.”

When the students below saw Ye Jian’s hand signal, they slowly released the escape rope that was wrapped around Xu Lin. Only then did everyone heave a sigh of relief.

He Jing closed her eyes gently before opening them slowly. If it wasn’t for Ye Jian just now… Xu Lin would be lying on the ground now.

”It’s okay, it’s okay…” Xu Wen panted as she spoke. Her legs were so tense that they had gone numb.
