Three Towers Game

Chapter 397: Chapter 132: Desire Tower is So Much Fun_2

Wen Xishu thought, if on the eve of doomsday, even the last steadfast supporter, Mr. Murata, ”defects”...

Master Lingqing would certainly fall into despair.

Perhaps seeing the despair on the Mage’s face would be the greatest relief for the Destroyer.

”Destroyers are all just hedonists... really.”

Wen Xishu actually didn’t dislike hedonists, or rather, he tolerated moderate hedonists. But if it was no longer about deriving pleasure from others’ pain, and instead, directly jumping to deriving joy from others’ despair... that was utterly unacceptable to Wen Xishu.

”The Destroyer just called, undoubtedly to confirm one thing.”

”That is, whether the seven individuals are safe and sound. I didn’t answer the call, but perhaps the Destroyer’s habitual vigilance would make him aware of certain possibilities.”

”The Destroyer is unaware of my presence, but this time... he appeared next to Master Lingqing, leading to eavesdropping on my plan, and became aware of my existence.”

”At the same time, he might have also realized that I am different from the other ’players,’ that I can use violence.”

”The call was simply to ensure the seven were safe, knowing I couldn’t use violence, but if one of the seven had died... he would most likely hide.”

”He probably has already hidden by now.”

Wen Xishu was very curious, though, about one point: Destroyers, like the Bunker players, couldn’t use violence. So how did the Destroyer manage to do it?

Because right after Wen Xishu went up the mountain and entered the temple... he was attacked.

He began to carefully recall some details.

”The first Destroyer I encountered couldn’t use violence either... but interestingly, he could kill Jack’s mother.”

”Even though the method didn’t seem violent.”

”Just now, I encountered the fake Murata, who also swung his police baton at me... but it was easy to dodge, because it seemed like random waving, not actually aimed at me.”

Indeed, this world has many murders that can manifest non-violently.

Wen Xishu seemed to understand, the definition of violence was quite limited...

And these Destroyers, through continuous cycles, had figured out the boundaries of the ”anti-violence” rules.

Prohibiting violence does not equal prohibiting force.

If someone is aimlessly gesticulating in the air, that obviously doesn’t count as violence. If someone is merely pushing a wheelchair and accidentally speeds up, that naturally isn’t considered violence either.

Of course, the rules might not be as broad as that. The prohibition of violence is theoretically strict for both the Bunker players and the Destroyers.

But the continuous cycles allowed them to master some ”tricks.” However, such tricks were mainly for creating illusions.

In real combat, they were certainly useless.

”He randomly swung his police baton, actually I wouldn’t get hurt even if I didn’t dodge... But that’s the most interesting part, because from that action, I subconsciously thought he wasn’t a Destroyer.”

”Because I thought he was using violence.”

”Moreover, he even pulled out a gun, but at that time, he didn’t fire.”

All these actions provided no help in combat, but greatly interfered with Wen Xishu’s judgment.

Instinctively, Wen Xishu removed the fake Murata from the list of Destroyers.

”I must say, within your own system, you do try hard enough.”

Now Wen Xishu had two choices: return to the mountain, enter the temple, and explain everything to Master Lingqing.

And inquire which of the seven individuals’ abilities the fake Murata might have used to disguise himself as Murata.

To disguise as Murata and deceive Master Lingqing...

That undoubtedly required some external force.

Otherwise, with differences in height, weight, and voice, even if the face was disfigured by radiation, turned into rotten flesh and bones...

There would still be many visible differences.

”To deceive Master Lingqing, there must be some means, perhaps the Mage would know this method.”

”But in that case...”

In that case, Wen Xishu felt he was too slow.

He had a premonition that when ”God” called but the Gourmet didn’t answer, ”God” might change his ”number.”

Yes, this ”God” of Rokkasho, since he could use external force to disguise as the fake ”Murata,” he could naturally become someone else.

So Wen Xishu thought of the second possibility—to skip the step of going back to see the Mage, predict the Destroyer’s behavior, and complete the kill before he ”changed numbers.”

To let the Destroyer feel a wave of true despair.

”First of all, these seven individuals... since they are all ’Deceit’ prefix holders, they must have seven different abilities.”

”At present, it seems Niu Lang Sanshin Hanzo, is likely to be Taming. The Gourmet kneeling and kowtowing to ’God’ is likely the work of Sanshin Hanzo.”

If he were the Destroyer, naturally he would exploit the information gap, use the different powers of the seven individuals to rule Rokkasho, and let the seven influence each other, to avoid being ”overthrown.”

”Sanshin can be ruled out, Gourmet can also be ruled out, Mariko... somehow she shouldn’t have this capability, right? Otherwise, she could completely transform into someone others like.”

”So Mariko is ruled out, what about Takahashi Fumihiko?”

Wen Xishu pondered on Takahashi Fumihiko, the only person in Deceit Tower who could match him somewhat intellectually.

”Sanshin Hanzo’s taming had no effect on Takahashi Fumihiko, I always felt he was the hardest to rope in among the few.”

”Though I don’t know Takahashi Fumihiko’s ability, it might be related to doppelgängers, not transformation.”
