Three Towers Game

Chapter 352: Chapter 124: Challenging the Triple Highs, The Craziest Tower Climb_5

”This is absurd. Seems that I can only rely on my own experience to judge. The talisman should be a forbidden entry symbol, just like in those horror movies from the Island Country...”

”It’s used to drive away evil spirits and demons.”

Wen Xishu made his own judgment.

He began browsing through the books in the study room, most of which were suspense and horror novels.

”Quite interesting. Definitely enough to kill time.”

Wen Xishu flipped through every book on the bookshelf in the study, checking if there were any hidden compartments inside.

He thought that since there was a study, a room that holds written information, it might be a starting point for him to explore.

His guess was correct, and his patience was soon rewarded.

”My mind is starting to become chaotic...”

”I’ve been driven insane by the tormenting visitors.”

In a book titled ”Hundred Ghosts Night Parade,” Wen Xishu found a note with some information written on it.

”I can’t not open the door... Not opening the door means death.”

”I don’t know who you are, but since you’re staying in my house, listen to my few pieces of advice.”

”1: The only way you can observe ’them’ is through the peephole in the door.”

”2: Don’t open the door lightly. If you open the door, ’they’ will definitely come in.”

”3: Some of ’them’ can distinguish between truth and lies, and some can become stronger by devouring your fear.”

”4: ’Living alone’ means certain death. ’Living alone’ means certain death. ’Living alone’ means certain death. ’Living alone’ means certain death...”

The fourth rule repeated ’living alone means certain death’ over and over, filling an entire page.

”5: I have a gun... There are three bullets in the gun. I’m sorry, I never dared to use it. But the gun can kill ’them’, you can kill ’them’. The gun is in the toilet tank in the bathroom.”

”6: They are very greedy and have a dormant period. You can only kill them during the dormant period.”

”7: Don’t stay awake! Don’t stay awake! Don’t stay awake! You must sleep at least eight hours, understand? If you sleep less than this, you will start to hear noises like me... You might become like me, I... turned into ’them’, hehehe.”

”8: The dormant period’s duration is uncertain... you’ll have to figure it out yourself. I’m sorry, I’m almost about to turn into ’them’. I’ll stay away from here.”

”9: We fear sunlight, and you should too. Don’t go out during the day, but at night, it’s even more dangerous. They only appear at night.”

”10: In my house, there are some facilities, each with their own uses. The television... you can check the TV. It’s broken, but it’s broken just right.”

No more information.

Wen Xishu felt the same sensation he had when he first entered the Deceit Tower.

Starting kill.

This time, he didn’t encounter such an intense start, but this book was really well hidden...

This book was hidden in the corner of the bookshelf.

There was a sense of intentional concealment from the players, a design Wan Xishu had only experienced in a game by Old Thief Miyazaki.

A game about survival with mysterious rules, if the rules are hidden from you as well, it would be maddening.

Wen Xishu was currently experiencing this.

It felt very Island Country-like.

”If I hadn’t read these, I probably wouldn’t know how I died.”

”I can understand this as the survival guidelines left by the previous occupant. My weapon is a gun...”

The benefits of reading, not missing any detail, quickly became apparent.

Wen Xishu at least knew that the game would equip him with a gun at the start. Without a gun, he would be utterly defenseless against the ”them” mentioned by the previous occupant.

Wen Xishu quickly went to the bathroom and found a gun wrapped in a sealed foam case in the toilet tank.

A revolver, the bullets were 5.56 caliber, and there were three of them.

Wen Xishu loaded all three bullets into the cylinder. He immediately felt a lot safer.

After doing this, he moved to the sofa in the living room.

”Based on past missions, I may end up saving someone, or altering someone’s fate. This is the greatest privilege granted to Bunker People by the Three Towers.”

”But this time, my role is the owner of this place. What I can do... is clearly just to wait for other visitors.”

Wen Xishu leaned against the sofa, staring at the TV. The TV was off.

He tried turning it on with the remote, but there was no response.

Recalling the last rule, which mentioned that the TV was broken... he speculated that the television couldn’t be used normally.

”But the last rule said the TV is broken just right. It seems that this TV is not controlled by my will; it might convey some message at a critical moment?”

Thinking this way was all Wen Xishu could do.

He started to interpret the other rules.

”The first rule says the only way I can observe them is through the peephole.”

”Very strange, does it mean that once they come inside, I can’t observe them anymore?”

”Wait! I get it!”

Wen Xishu felt a mixture of pressure and excitement:

”The door!”

”The door is the safe boundary. If the door is opened, the things I see may not be their true forms.”

”Maybe they only reveal some clues when the door is unopened!”

”So I can only observe through the peephole. Once the door is opened, I have to invite them in. This is also the content of the second rule.”

”In other words, after they come in... they will disguise themselves more like humans... and my judgment could also be affected by some abilities they release.”

Wen Xishu could imagine if he misjudged through the peephole, then the only remedy...

Would be the three bullets.

But can the bullets really kill them?
